I've played both games, and they are both alot of fun. I find myself having more fun in .Hack, since you can play how you want to in that game. You don't have to follow the story line straight to the end of the game. You can goto any place you wish just for the fun of it as many times as you want. Its basically because you have more freedom and more choices.
you promised you would take me here again someday, but you never did. Well, I'm alone here now.

I would say they are both quite the same in how much I like them xeno gears really helps to understand what happens in Xenosaga ,and the other manga for .hack helps in the same way,so I would say they are equallly good.
I never mean any offense in any of my posts unless stated previously
I don't use cheat devices such as gameshark or game genie or action replay.

I like .Hack better than Xenosaga, mainly because of the story being involving, and also because there was not as long a wait between volumes. Xenosaga is still a very good series of games, and great rpgs but I enjoy playing .Hack better.

.hack by a mile. Xenosaga II has left me unimpressed with its lackluster, glitchy, and overall boring gameplay and incredibly short longevity for such a massive project and plot. Story-wise, both are top of the notch, but with Soraya Saga gone from the Xenosaga team, I'm wondering how much longer Xenosaga will last - if it even makes it past Episode III.
I don't think I could ever possibly explain just how much I don't like xenosaga. Do we really need a thirty minute long cut scene?
.hack of course, is the one I choose.

I stared motionless before the mirror. As always, I stayed until I am convinced that there is no glass, nothing separarting me from the room I see on the other side.....but like always my hand hits glass.....I know that if I'd only waited just one more second....

i think .hack is better than xenosaga by a longshot. I dont no if anyone here knows this but in 1998 a game called Xenogears came out for playstation. That game was awesome! If you were comparing that to .hack the results would be much closer in my book. Though i still would pick .hack just because it rocks so damn much
But after playing Xenogears i really expected more out of Xenosaga

Seeing as how Xenosaga and .hack are both completely different games, set in different periods, and... well, everything's different between them. The only common factor is they are both RPGs.
.hack has a unique storyline; a game about an online game that somehow affects the real world.
The Xenosaga series are prequels to Xenogears, a futuristic series with giant robots and intricate, twisting plotlines.
Story-wise, I like the Xenosaga series better. Gameplay-wise, .hack. So it's pretty even IMO.
