Altimit Operating Systems

Post by Kite_DH »

the developing of the "altimit operating system" is running.
i'm one of the developers beside intra10110 and our crew.
project leaders:
Kite_DH, Germany,Baden-Württemberg
intra10110, United States of America,Michigan

http://www.altimitos.com

the project:

we try to make a linux based operating system that has the "look and feel" of the famous OS from the .hack//games.
the planing of this project has already started in august 2006, since then about 10.200 people .hack// fans and people that are interested in this operating system visited the website.
im the main designer in this project, that means im making the GUI (graphical user interface), and also wallpapers, banners, icons[...]!
its going to be a linux live-cd> you download a ISO file and burn it on CD/DVD, then you put that CD/DVD in your drive and boot the Altimit OS.
the other operating system on your computer (windows, macintosh,...)
is not going to take damage from that. you can also install the system on your computer if you like to.

leave comments, wishes, critics in this thread.

This looks very interesting. But so did that "The World R:2" site, which turned out to be nothing more than a personal little site. Are you sure this is real?

OH MAN. I'm such an idiot. I failed to read a majority of your post. So, you're a developer? Cool.
I'll be looking forward to seeing this OS in action.

i would use it...if i liked it...but the fictional OS seemed very Windows to me so using linyx, the anti-windows is just too ironic for me to pass up...

i'm not doubting that its good, but i just thought it was ironic...i look forward to it, but i don't think my dad would want me to put that on my computer....he never looks at it until after i do something i like, then he accuses me of breaking the computer and a bunch of other ****...but i'll definitely download it.

Do you have a checklist of what things and features you have done/are planning to have?

I'd like to try it out when it's done. It sounds like you guys are pretty serious about this. Hopefully you guys can keep it as true to the series as possible, though the old ALTIMIT OS is a bit outdated looking opposed to ALTIMIT MINE OS, imo anyway.
