Items Mutation/Outbreak switchover.

I am re-beating all four games. 2 down, 2 to go. First time I beat the first two, sold my PS2, bought a new PS2 beat the other two. So I didn't have data to transfer. I heard someone ask about what they should do when switching. Some guy was talking about using all stat items becasue in Outbreak they will dissapear. At least I think that was what he was saying, horrible spelling and couldn't quite decipher his typing. Anyways, is there anything like this? I want to know because I haven't used any of my stat items yet, I was gonna wait until the end of the fourth game and use them all at once just for the heck of it.

That poster probably ment that you must get all the stat up books that 8 PC's have for via the elemental stat up items ie 25 burning oils etc.

You must get those books in Mutation since the stat up books can no longer be traded for in both Outbreak and in Quarantine.

Thanks you very much. One last minor question, so If I have traded for them and they are in Elf's Haven, then will stay there right? I don't need to use them if I don't want to.

You said that you sold your PS2, so you didn't have the data. Why don't you just transfer the files over?

Umm....if you had a save flag from Mutation, just carry it over to Outbreak and continue there. You still have your memory card, right?

Yes items in Elfs Haven do transfer from 1 game to the next.

if he sold his ps2 he most likely sold his memory card thats why he is saying that he lost his data... thats whats i say anyway

Yes, that is what I meant. I beat the first two games, the third game wasn't out yet. I sold my PS2 and all my games/controllers/and memory card. Then after 3 and 4 were released I bought a new one and beat 3 and 4. So I didn't have any data from the first two because it was a new memory card. I know items transfer, just what that guy said and how he said it made me worry all items except the stat books would transfer.

hmmmm....oddd i could have sworn my stat books transfered....Im wierd and like to get 1 of each in elfs haven. It is nice to have them all though.

All Items stat books and the items in elks haven do transfer.

However if you started a Quarantine file but only had Mutation beaten but could not find any place to buy .hack Outbreak you are out of luck.

Since you can't convert a Mutation file to Quarantine for example.
