Episode 25 and 26 airing together?

I checked Wikipedia and it shows the last 2 episodes as both airing on Sept 27th, does anyone have any confirmation to this? I'm mainly wondering because it might make sense from that one week no episode aired.

Yes, that's what they're doing. The evening before the new game comes out, they have an hour special series finale...

That's wonderful... although I bet that means fan-subbers won't have them both out at the same time.

Sigh... really wish I had both Japanese networks and a Japanese PS2.

I think the 'new game' he's referring to is Volume 2 in Japan, not Volume 1 in the US.

I wonder if it'll have as fun an ending as SIGN did... I mean was a shock to see Morganna call upon Skeith, but then again I played the game long after watching SIGN so I bet since in Japan Infection came out before SIGN's aired end, it wasn't a shock to the audience...

Still, as much as I like Roots, since we know the start events of G.U., the series doesn't have as big of an impact on me as SIGN... when Tri-Edge first showed I was like "WOOOOOOO" .. but now it's lost it's edge [lol.. get it.. edge]

I'm just looking for a great twist or something... if not.. I guess I'll get a twist from .hack//G.U. vol2 ... I mean there was talk about something happening that makes us drop our controllers right?

What they should do, is have the series end with the fight with Tri-Edge in Grima Raef Cathedral.

That would be interesting... although I've seen that fight 100s of times in like 5 different ways. Still, it would be interesting but I REALLY rather see something else. Tri-Edge was cool when you saw little of him... now, I dunno. Maybe something with.....

[Spoilers for G.U.]

.....the other azures like floating in some empty area starting to awaken. Seeing Balmung and Orca in Roots style would be neat. I like how Balmung's wings look all digitally stripped.

It'll probably end where G.U. picks up... like we see Tri-edge back and killing Sakubo or whatever happens to her then heading for the church.

Or something with Skieth or the other Avatars... maybe a scene with Endrance... anything would be cool if it's not some cop out thing

Yes, Sakubo only gets attacked by Tri-Edge in GU+. It's not part of the regular storyline.
