Lios or Apeiron?
I'm unaware if this subject has been covered or not, but I've yet to find it on the search engine so I'm trying it out...
If Apeiron is the King of Light, then why is Lios supposedly also the name of the King of Light? Theories? Ideas? It's been nagging at me for a couple years.

Unfortunately I don't remember this well but there was conversation about this at somepoint in the past and there was a conclusion that "Lios" means light in some language or smoething like that.
I just can't remember what topic it was and when. Maybe you should ask from Kuukai or Shinsou Wotan.
They might know.

Lios is the word for "light" in the Epitaph, it's from Old Norse. Apeiron is the name of the king of light, and "Lios" is the name of what he is king of... This got lost in the English translation... In fact, like all references to Old Norse are, even in G.U. where words from like half the Alvissmal show up...

Oddly, though, this only seems to be the case in the Japanese version of the Epitaph. In the one sample we have of the "original" German, the word used was Licht, which is perfectly ordinary German.Kuukai wrote:Lios is the word for "light" in the Epitaph, it's from Old Norse.
