I thought the same thing as well when I saw Tri-Edge fixing what ever that grid represents. There are many possibilities to what Tri-Edge is doing from just fixing the damaged data to possibly restoring certain aspects of The World.AuraTwilight wrote:My current theory is that Tri-Edge is trying to stabilize and fix the system like Kite used to, and takes it to the extreme by removing unstable elements like Players.
Yep it appears Tri-Edge had the shadow of Ovan. Also the fact Shino seemed happy near the end must have meant Ovan is the one who contacted her. Though I am quite curious as to what will happen next since Ovan may not be himself anymore.Dragoon2044 wrote:those who saw the episode take a look at tri-edges shadow towards the end. that shadow is Ovan's shadow...>> i like your theory auratwilight
The change in Haseo has started first with him getting back at those Player Killers and now that Shino has disappeared. I really like how this is turning out.

i was over anylizing epd 13 over and over again... i'm starting to think Tri-edge is very closely related to Ovan. The secret of Ovan's arm... the bracelet on Tri-edge's arm. i think the secret of Ovan's arm is data drain.... Tri-edge. Ovan is looking for the key of the twilight. tri-edge must be looking for Aura -- it might think she is not safe.. being that she ran from the world. i wonder if Shino would be a replacement for aura... since there can be epitaph wielders it wouldn't be entirely wrong to assume another player would be able to use the data collected by the phases. that would explain tri-edge's shadow which shows Ovan's physical form.

They still can be connected, but not through the friggin' arms.
As for Ovan's shadow and Tri-Edge, it can be anything as simple as Tri-Edge hacking it to trick Shino, or like, I dunno, something as outrageous as Ovan and Tri-Edge being a single person with multiple personalities and l33t haxx0ring skills.

he's got a different shadow when hes walking up to the cathedral tho.

ovan's got a very specific profile, and that one clearly isnt it.
IMO, Tri-Edge simply temporarily assumed the image of Ovan, so Shino wouldn't realize something was up.
i find it a little interesting that right after that shot both of his eyes are covered by his hair, while the entire rest of the episode his one menacing eye is visible (even when it switches camera angles from that closeup)

that still doesn't look like tri-edge. eh you don't see the weapons or anything and if you look near the top of the shadow in that picture it looks like Ovan as if hes walking straight forward. in the other picture in cathedral the shadow is standing in one spot as the left leg is bent to support thier weight. also towards the head of the shadow there is looks like something around the persons neck.. i look at ovan and then at the shadow and the first thing that comes to mind is the scarf. i might be wrong though..

a
the screenshot inside the cathedral is clearly a shadow of Ovan's profile. his scarf protrudes out above the shoulders, and the outline of his gunarm is visible as well.
whereas the shadow outside has none of those features, the head curves in for the neck (which Ovan's scarf covers) , then proceds outwards in the shoulders

This is all well and good people...but that still doesn't explain what the secret of Ovan's arm is, the connection between him and Tri-Edge, why Tri-Edge targeted Shino, why Tri-Edge is fixing the wolrd when he's obviously the bad guy.
1) Guess we'll find out what Ovan's arm is about in a later episode or the game.
2) Same about his connection to Tri-Edge.
3) Shino was targeted because of that Aura theory someone mentioned? She did say she wasn't going to run away like Aura did.
4) Tri-Edge must be a guardian of The World like Kite was (part of his fragmented data left over from Kite). Trying to restore The World to the way it was by getting rid of abnormalities.
5) Someone said something about his bracelet. Remember the fight with Kite and Cubia...? Cubia and the bracelet were two halves of the same coin. To defeat Cubia, Kite had BlackRose destory the bracelet. The first bracelet was from the Book of Twilight...being destroyed the data must have fragmented and joined with part of Kite's fragmented data. This created Tri-Edge and his bracelet (Someone made the comment that Tri-Edge's bracelet was fragmented as well in a picture from the game trailer). Kite also received the bracelet again from the Book of Dawn...was this one supposed to be able to bring the bracelet into existence without Cubia coming back? Would the recurence of the bracelet from the Book of Twilight with Tri-Edge bring Cubia back during the Roots and G.U. time?
What does everyone else think about this?

hm.. i was thinking about the idea of Shino becoming the new aura in a sense. i mean after what she said and rushing off to see ovan. i think ovan called her to grima lowe. that might be another clue as to why we see tri-edge/ovan's shadow. shino also did say haseo was ovan's future. we still have yet to decipher what that means.

I'm guessing it's something they'll save until the third game.1) Guess we'll find out what Ovan's arm is about in a later episode or the game.

No, you're mixing my theories. I think Shino was attacked just because she was a player. I don't think Tri-Edge has any sort of hitlist.3) Shino was targeted because of that Aura theory someone mentioned? She did say she wasn't going to run away like Aura did.
Yup. My idea is that Tri-Edge is trying to stabilize the system by getting rid of unstable elements like players.4) Tri-Edge must be a guardian of The World like Kite was (part of his fragmented data left over from Kite). Yea, the book of Dawn was supposed to make it so that Cubia couldn't come back. I really doubt that Tri-Edge is related to Cubia. At all.5) Someone said something about his bracelet. judging from his behavior in the games draining one person in a party and not bothering with the other two and letting them get away im not quite so sure about that idea.AuraTwilight wrote:No, you're mixing my theories. Oh yeah....just a little something I noticed when I first saw ep 13 and I went back to clarify....How does Haseo even know that Tri-Edge did it?! He never even acknowledged Tri-Edge...he ran right by him to get to Shino and before she was gone Tri-Edge left...Haseo never saw him...
So...how is it that his thirst for avenging Shino lead him to search for Tri-Edge? Did he read on the boards about reports of Tri-Edge's movements and actions? Whoa....that's alot of questions.

Argh! >_< Anna is not the big bad!
Anna is the name given to a form of simplistic and primitive AIDA, there is more than one Anna and it is of relatively low intelligence, therefore, it can not be the antagonist.
Also, Ovan and Yata wouldn't want to get rid of the Epitaph-Wielders, they want to use their powers.

I don't think Tri-Edge is anyone's program...he's an AIDA so he just came into existence thanks to events that portrayed. He probably targets the Infinity Eight and those close to get rid of threats to the system. I don't think Anna is in charge of this...like what was said Anna is just a simplistic AIDA type. And still...Shino wasn't data drained in the anime, was she? She was cut by Tri-Edge twin blades and that left his Sign on the altar. If she was data drained I think they'd show a cool scene like that and it just didn't make that sound or look that way. And no one answered my question as to if Haseo saw Tri-Edge or not.Asukai wrote:Anyhow. ep.13
That can work but so after all if Tri-Edge is just a Program made by
Anna, Ovan or Yata...to Stabilize the game data on getting rid of bad data in the world he would target the Infinity Eight Right? since they well have the powers of the Eight Phases or Tri-Edge just likes fixing data...
now if Shino become the next Aura I think 'Anna' would not like that so maybe that why 'it' sent Tri-Edge to Data Drain Shino the World would become peaceful once more becuse that would happend win 'Aura' was around right?

Yea, you watch Shino decay into 1's and 0's. Data Drain

That's a good point. But then I just thought of something that might be the most likely out of ALL the theories. If Tri-Edge is an AIDA, and AIDA's infect people and seems to suck out their life-force (not their blood like in that mistranslation), and if Tri-Edge uses Data Drain on the area around him to repair himself, then maybe, Tri-Edge is Data Draining people to suck their "energy" somehow and sustain himself! Maybe it's all nothing but self-preservation. And his victims become afflicted with Doll Syndrome.draining one person in a party and not bothering with the other two and letting them get away
That still doesn't explain why Tri-Edge would be repairing apparent glitches.
I don't think Tri-Edge is an AIDA, as you know, I believe he and the AIDA are entirely separate entities. From what we've seen, Tri-Edge's attacks have very little corrolation, other than the fact that all of them were in Lost Ground and all of them appear to have resulted in the Sign being left behind.
Very little in his actions make sense, he attacks both significant players and apparent randoms, he appears to attack spontaneously and yet he will attack one person out of an entire party, he repairs glitches in the system and yet he leaves great scars in the game itself.
The fact that he only appears to attack one person at a time is interesting, but I can't think of any theories around this.
