Re: How many "bonus" sountracks came with that .hack magazine?
There are three bonus soundtracks.
1) .hack//The World Vol. 3 - 12 songs, some character themes for people such as Balmung and Mistral, and then songs that were excluded from the IMOQ OSTs.
2) .hack//G.U. The World Vol. 6 - 8 songs, one of them being Carl's Theme, 7 of them being songs from Rebirth that were never included in any OSTs.
3) .hack//G.U. The World Vol 11 - Contains the 12 songs from the special OST from .hack//The World Vol. 3 plus 6 songs from Reminisce that were never included in any OSTs.
The only way I know of how to get these (at least on the net) is through eBay. Look for a seller on there under the name of "videogameya". You can request specific volumes of the magazine from him.
Unless you're a completist, just go for G.U. The World 6 & 11. The only difference between the 12 songs on The World Vol. 3's CD and G.U. The World's Vol. 11 is one song, "Emma", where in the original there was someone (presumably Emma) speaking.
