I have a question. Does anyone know if the characters respond with thier voices when you talk to them in Redemption? It was sorely missed in Reminisce...

Its the same in the JAP import of vol.3 - there's no voice responses.

Yeah. That's a North American feature that I've absolutely loved. I wish it would be back for REDEMPTION :/
unfortunatly zero it wont......... the manufacturer didnt think it was neccesary. so they outted it... oh and the creaters didnt realy approve that in the first place we just kinda did it. and well that pissed them off a little.

Zero, and to the others, do u all want the level objectives of the different levels in the Forest of Pain? If that is so, i think i can go start on it soon. Vol.3 bike mission guide is underway atm, the lucky animal list is still under some editing, and im adding the virus cores exchange in Net Slum after that.

This is just a small info about the guild extension: When u move to the new root town, along with Canard's relocation to the new root town, u get an extension of max. storage from 75 to 95(U just need to pay for the extension, this is not under the Ryu Book, its just from the storyline itself)

So those voice scenes won't be back for Redemption then? Ah that is so horrible. If they didn't on the Japanese releases then that isn't any reason not to do it on the American releases. I thought it they were great. They really enhanced the notion of playing an MMORPG. Other than that, it looks like they're riding off of storyline by itself rather than the whole premise of the games themselves. Simulated Online Role Playing Game-- that is massively popular. Its a real shame that they couldn't take the time to put those voices in there. Especially when you trade with them and talk to them in the root towns and fields. You would get to hear thier personalities instead of having to read them. I though that is part of what made Final Fantasy X, International a great experience.

Code: Select all

In this list, the animals are divided into 2 sections, the fields and dungeons.
Within each section, there is a list of no.(1 to 0) at the top and the side.
The number on top is the value of the last digit of your average party's level.

--Meaning if i have a party of lvls 55, 56, 57, my average party lvl is 56.--

Hence the value is 6.

If there is any decimals when calculating the values, it's rounded down.

The number on the left is the last digit of the area's level.

Meaning if i enter an area of lvl 55, the value is 5.

The animal that appears will be chosen by the intersection of the values.

For instance, my average party level is 56, so the top value is 6.
The area I enter is a field level 55, so the side value is 5.
Comparing it with the table, I will get Leviathan in the field.

I have used initals for the animals, so here's a legend for it.

F.W: Fate Worm
G.B: Gold Bird
Sleip.: Sleipnir
T-T.F: Two-tailed Fox
Gane.: Ganesha
Levi: Leviathan
H.W: High Wolf
M.C: Malice Cat
Tsutsu.: Tsutsuga
M.R: Moon Rabbit
Oury.: Ouryu
Totet.: Totetsu
Chime.: Chimera
Teng.: Tengu
D.G: Dark Goat
Q.L: Qi Lin

Note: Because of GameFaqs 80 character limit, I need to remove the charts.
The charts for the lucky animals are available here:

This is the Virus Core exchange for the stat-boosting items. The names with the (?) are the ones that im not certain of the actual name.(Its the item that grants u 100 points to your weapon meter, to 1 char and the party respectively, can some1 help mi check out?)
This is just a brief introduction on how to get this feature available.
Once u have unlocked all lost weapons to lvl 5, u will receive an email after u have relocated to Net Slum, telling u that u can now use the virus cores to exchange for these stat-boosting items. Find Raven's Guild Grunty along the path to the Bridge and u will be able to exchange them.

EDIT: This is about the guild enhancement in vol.3. When Canard relocate to the Twin Heaven City(New Root Town, Sigma server), u have the extension of increasing your storage capacity to 95, u just need to pay them, i forgot the cost though......

It is 7 in vol.3. For every new volume, the effects of the lucky animals are magnified.

I think I'll sit out on writing the vol 3 walkthrough-part 8D;
You'll have to find someone else to do that :P (whoever does it, I suggest you write down all area-information including the path to finish the area :3)

I'll try to be more useful in the code-part of the project instead when it's time :3

Well, is there a variable to it? Because in 3, I do remember getting 7 battles with him, but also 5 in a couple other. My bad if I'm wrong, but just wanted to clarify. Though I may have been miscounting

Every lucky animal's effect varies in every volume of the G.U. series, but is fixed in the individual volumes. If im not wrong, sleipnir in vol.1 should be 3, vol.2 should be 5, and vol.3 should be 7. Just compare the effects of the lucky animal list for vol.3 i post a while ago with the vol.2 lucky animal list in Zer0's vol.2 guide, and u should see the diff.

We can't do much until it comes out over here.
The most I can help before the release of vol.3 is the vol.3 bike missions, lucky animal list, Virus Core Exchange, a little bit on the people hunt and on Crimson VS.
Crimson VS is much different from vol.2, as there are now combo cards which gives additional effects if they are together in a deck. I will try to translate the explanation of this feature as soon my exams are over.(My exams are round the corner......) Total number of cards is increased to 150 in vol.3.(So there's a huge load to be done here.......) Furthermore, all General Cards in vol.3 now have abilities bounded to them, for instance, a vol.3 card, Haseo the Silver Dual Gunner, has the ability to negate all Assault and Shield trinity unit cards the opponent has on his field before the start of the fight between the Generals.
