Is Kite becoming more like his A.I. look alike?

I've noticed in some .hack// media that Kite is strangely inheriting quite a few traits from Azure Kite, his A.I. copy. Note in .hack//XXXX, during the fight against Corebenik, Aura had intervened, as the energy somewhat transformed Kite, giving him dual, triple-edged swords, similar to Azure Kite's empty skies and the "W" symbol on his hat. Pretty cool picture.

Even though XXXX is non-canon, this is proving to be quite important when it comes to Kite's PC appearence. Also in //LINK, his skills and weapons are also resembling Azure Kite's. Some skills he used, as noted by .hack//wiki, Azure flame sphere, Azure flame dance, and Tri-edge flame sign, with the dual, triple-bladed swords as shown below.

Hence the word "Azure" in those skills, and I clearly remember Azure Kite doing a Tri-edge looking attack when you fight him in Vol. 1 of G.U. Shown below.

It doesn't mean anything, it's just fans being given service by Kite being more like his badass counterpart. Plus, XXXX doesn't mean crap.

Well that is a good point but I agree with Aura, It really doesn't mean anything, Kite is still Kite? Would you change your mind on a series based on a character's apperance?

this just means that people like to asume the role of kite on azure kite who are two different people, i had a chance to read the manga on .hack//link and Kite is like good old kite looking like at the end of .hack//sign episode Unison. so Azure Kite (or crazy kite really) has the same moves but different personality and looks

Azure Kite = AI

Kite will always still be kite if he kept his original look or Azure kites look

Kite's personality is the same, it's only the looks. They make a Kite with cooler gear, people like, so they take the original and change it to the newer one, in a sense like a prototype. I've seen other shows and games do it. (C.C.'s outfits, Kiba with his hood on and off, etc.)

Isn't he Captain of the Twilight Knights: Azure Flame Kite.
He makes the declaration all excited like in the middle of his fight.
Then bust out with all his Azure Flame techniques
So I guess...Azure Kite is Kite
but "Tri-Edge" Azure Flame Kite isn't.

Well, not exactly. He's Twilight Knight commander Kite of the Azure Flame, as stated by Fluegel Azure Flame Kite's a completely different
and seperate character. Although, it's odd how they're referring to him as Tri-edge again in //LINK

At the same time? Most likely, since they now co-exsist within the same world.

Well, i don't see why not. They're 2 different characters entirely, one is a normal PC character (well, as "normal PC" as we can know), and the other is a AI created by Aura, based on the first one but still completely different. So yeah, it would be possible to even see them both fighting alongside each other. I'm sure we'll see something like that in LINK...heck, if it's meant for fanservicing, they WILL have such scene XD

Not like FFX-2, but more like Unison turned into an action videogame of sorts, meant, among other things, to show several things like Kite and Azure Kite together, Kite and Haseo together, seeing the .hackers with the Infinity Eight...things like that, that would be pure gold and appease all the people who ever went "OMG WUT WOULD HAPPEN IF ALKAID AND BLACKROSE FOUGHT TOGETHER!? 8O!", sure, LINK will also conclude the series and give a nice ending to each thing, but since every character is coming back like that, it's almost obvious that such things will happen. People will be in rage otherwise XD

I think Kite looks awesome that way, Kite probably got a costume change from switching World versions. He started in R1 after all so the update probably made it that way

If it's the latter, they might use it as an ad-lib explanation...If the ez-mode solution of "the memories of the two are merged and ****" isn't satisfying enough for them that is.

As far as i remember, Kite was made from scratch by only taking Aura's memories as a base. However, the bracelet was the same one as the one Kite had, including the little fragment lost :/

And right now there's a problem with that "ez" solution....Both Kite AND Azure Kite are two completely different characters in LINK, so there can be no merging at all.
