I heard from someone that feeding a grunty 18 golden eggs turns him into a special grunty. I thought you have to feed them what they want. Is he lying .

I doubt they are trying to intentionally feed you false information. But if I remember correctly Golden Egg just increases size. All that produces is a Noble Grunty...

Yeah, i'd say he's lying, unless by "special grunty" he means the Noble Grunty, but there are many ways to get Noble Grunty and he's the worst grunty to raise, so i wouldn't call him "special". And even so, it's impossible to feed a grunty with 18 Golden Eggs...If you feed him with 15 he'll automaticly grow/raise into an adult one (and always a Noble Grunty in such case).

The Grunty Raising mechanics work in such way that, once the Grunty's size reaches 30, it'll raise into its adult version, and depending on the other stats it has by that time, it'll raise into any of the 3 avaliable grunties of the server. So, if you feed him with Golden Eggs all the time, it'll reach Size 30 by the time you feed the 15th egg, and it'll raise into Noble Grunty because all other stats will be 0.

So, in Grunty Raising, the trick is to make your grunty have the best corresponding stats to the grunty you'd like to raise, and yeah, usually, your Grunty will be asking for the necessary food to grow in the best grunty of the server. You can make a few mistakes while feeding him (especially by the beginning as he can be so DARN VAGUE), but as long as you mantain his stats under an acceptable area, you'll get the "best" grunty. Make a few more mistakes, and you'll get the "average" one. And make more mistakes, or feed him with completely random food, or Golden Eggs all the time or something, and you'll get the Noble Grunty. There's also certain "recipes" you can follow, to make things easier and get the grunty you want all the time...but it's more fun to raise them the old way :P
