The ethical debates that surround the fansubbing "scene" have intensified as anime becomes more and more mainstream in the U.S. and other countries. One side believes that fansubs promote the series positively, while the opposing state the exact opposite. Dothackers will not be promoting any .hack//Roots fansubs. The site's goal is to positively promote the .hack project within fair use and legal boundaries. It's up to you to make a socially utilitarian-esque decision. Please use the "Don't ask don't tell" motto on the message board. If you know where to download //Roots please keep it to yourself. Members asking where to download //Roots will be warned. Episode discussions and screenshots are welcome in the //Roots forum. For those of you who can't wait until the series makes it’s way to the U.S. and other countries, dothackers will be writing weekly recaps of each episode. Members are also welcome to write their own recaps.
