I'm putting my questions in spoiler tags, because everyone else seems to have put information regarding this " Eina" person in tags so far. So if this shouldn't have been done, forgive me; I just want to stay safe.

So who exactly is  Eina?

I read on the forum somewhere that she might be  the person who introduced Phyllo to Ovan, or  Phyllo to Shino--can't remember which. But where do you find this out? Is it in .hack//roots? (That would make sense, because I didn't see the entire series.) Or do they say this somewhere in volume two of GU?

 Phyllo to Ovan.

I've forgotten when it says she did that, but she made a flashback appearance in episode 17 of //Roots.

OHHHH! I see what Elkasa was saying! Yeah, nice find.

I didn't find it o_O;

I just took the image in the first post and did horrible things to it with photoshop.

Hm... Can anyone decipher the words lapping over her in that scene? Maybe they put relevant words there that might be a clue to who she is?

I know in past previews, the words have always been story-pertinent, but thrown in at any random interval regardless of which character was on screen at the time. But who knows...

Although, it doesn't look even remotely English, so I'll never know either way.

I think the words look German, but I'm not sure I think every word with "z" in it is German <_<.

They're snippets of the Epitaph. As for  Eina, no one knows who she is, or if Eina is even her name. It's just a guess based on dialogue from the trailer. It's postulated the girl in the chair and the girl who introduced Phyllo to Ovan are the same person, but even THAT'S not factual. We don't know if she's a human, an AI, or whatever.

 I heard a thoery that this "Eina" is a second version of Aura, her sister if you will, that was born when the World R:2 was create somehow. How she was created I don't know but I do know she did get Ovan and Phyllo to met and she is a good character trying to "save" the World from something which I guess is either AIDA or Tri-Edge aka Ovan. Haseo also meets her in Vol 3 but that should be obvious.
