Is it just me or is there something more to Tabby then meets the eye? I keep getting this feeling she has this huge role in Roots, and if I'm right then what could it be?

dunno but i think she is a kid in the real world.

She seems to be there for fanservice more than anything; but hey, one never knows.

We already know she is a great admirer of Shino, due to her reaction to being given new weapons after being assisted by her through an entire dungeon.

As Shinsou Wotan once translated, she seems to like Shino a lot, and this relationship is further reinforced in the ending credits.

However, up until now, she is simply acting like the classic Rper, acting slightly hyper and yet still being friendly and trustworthy.

I am sure that every character in .hack//Roots will have a role, and Tabby must have been chosen because of some particular quality that Shino was looking into.

Ovan and Naobi seem to decide who does and does not get involved, both of them seem to pick members for their abilities.

For example, Ender and Tawaraya are 'two sides of the coin'. Ovan and Shino also discuss both Haseo and Tabby, saying they are very promising.

I don't think it's the same though, because Haseo also has "that".

If you mean the part when it looks like they are about to kiss don't come to conclusions for that. Besides I think Tabby has a thing for Sasaki or whatever his name is.

I don't think she is hiding anything either. I just can't help but feel that she is more important then just fanservice.

She is at least partially playing her role as a cat girl, but she seems like she would be the same kind of bright and perky person in the real world. I think we all need to remember that these players are real people outside of the game, too. ._.; We'll see if Roots follows in the footsteps of SIGN on that note of giving glimpses of what the real people behind the avatars are like outside of the game.

As for the "kissing" thing in the end credits? They don't look like they're about to kiss to me, coming from the fact that they both look kind of... pensive. Maybe it has to do with some kind of "clash" the two will have, be it over Haseo (please, no,) their personalities, or just differences in opinion... maybe going back to what Umbra was saying about the "two-sides of the coin" thing that Tawaraya and Ender have. We'll just hafta wait and see... :'D

To the Tabby and Shino thing, perhaps it deals with the lines of the song, at the time...

"Carrying the cup of poison though this life is over, the dream to yearn for death flows on."

And I really don't think it looks like they're about to kiss, as it seems they both look sort of sad as well, there lips are nowhere near in proportion with eachother. I'll continue to think it has someting to do with entwined fate, until I'm proven wrong...

They could just be there because they're both chicks, and they're both on Haseo's mind.

Apologies for the completely off-topic remark, but has anyone else noticed where Tabby's tail is coming from? It comes out of her head, almost lik it's an extension of her hair. Weird, huh?

Uhh... The tail -IS- her hair.

I know that tail in her hair scared me. But I don't think she is going to play a big role unless she is an AIDA-PC and is going to turn on the group but I don't think so.
