Questions on having a set group

Post by Heidalloon »

Currently my group is Kite, Blackrose, and Elk. I'm liking this party so far but I understand that at certain points in the game you have to take certain characters along. Are these frequent throughout the four games? Also, do the levels of the unnused characters stay relatively close to your main characters, like Final Fantasy?

Eh... I wouldn't rely on Elk too much after mutation...

They are thrown in there every now and then. I haven't played Mutation but as far as I know, they aren't exactly a main mode of play. The times when you have to take a specific character usually arise from mails. When you have began to get to 'know' a certain character and 'bond' . Basically, the mini-missions you do with different characters.
Obviously, your party will level faster than the rest of the characters but they stay within a good distance of you and your top party members.

Everyone levels up with you slightly, yes. But yeah, you get sidequests like this in every game. I'm pretty sure nearly every single one of the playable characters, (except  Tsukasa, Subaru, and Sora) have an event where you're obliged to take them. There are a few exceptions other than the above, but only a FEW.

NB: Like Final Fantasy? I sure hope you don't mean VIII... cause that doesn't happen there.

Yeeeeeeeep. I just got done replaying VII since I had nothing else to play. I started playing Infection a few days ago and I'm having a blast. Thanks for all your answers, much appreciated.

I'm alternating most of the time. That's only when I need to level up my charcters.

Who would you say is the best Wavemaster in the party. I like Minstral and Elk but I was really happy when I go Wiseman because he was at level 45. Even thought level both Minstral and Elk to the levels they are now was fun but I was happy Wiseman was at 45 as a default level.

Well the truth is level and skills are important to choosing who you should have in your party. If you are worried about their parameter then you shouldn't really worry about that but focus on their skills they have.
