Phase 3--Magus--The Propagation
---------------------------------------------------------------------- --------
Put your Wavemaster on First Aid! and tell BlackRose to attack Magus (Use
Designate target). Now for Kite, he has the most important job of all. You
may have noticed that Magus drop leaves and they all have timers over them.
Kite must attack and destroy all the leaves before the timer hits 0, if not
Magus will do a devastating attack that could kill your characters instantly.
So have Kite run behind Magus and just attack the leaves, that is all. The
only time he should stop is if your healer has a status effect cast on them,
just cure them, and continue attacking the leaves. There will be a brief
moment when he won't drop leaves so attack him, it is brief but you need all
the help you can to bring his HP down. Just keep at it, and you should be able
to Protect Break him. Data Drain him for Virus Core U.
Now Magus has 4500 HP, much better. But he can still hit hard. He also does
not drop leaves anymore so just have Kite and BlackRose use whatever they got
to take him down. This is the final boss so don't be shy give him all you
got!! Keep plugging away and you will win.

I lost to Magus the first time because I didn't realize that every leaf that is left on the screen when one reaches zero will increase the damage dramatically. I had like 5 leaves when one hit zero and it was an instant game over. The second time I made sure to eliminate every leaf as soon as it dropped and defeating Magus was a cinch. It never hurts to strengthen your party with Blood items and whatnot.

i lost to magus the first time i fought him because i wasn't expecting him, and he got a cheap kill on me<.< >.>
but when i saw the count-down timer, from many year's of gaming experience, something told me that this is not a good thing.
the second time i was ready and he went down.it's all a matter of preparation with the phases.if you go defensive i.e. heal and tell the other's to attack then you can get the job done in most of the phases.

i never lost to any of the eight phases either... but magus was a pain compared to a lot of the others, those damn leaves dont let kite get a hit in on magus himself. after 3 min i gave up on the leaves and just started kicking the (bad word) out of him. it was perfect timing cuz he protect broke right before the leaf counter hit zero. then all the leaves dissapeared.
Magus is very very simple. Bring at least 40 health drinks and 20 health potions, around 30 ressurects, and about 25-35 mages souls. bring blackrose and elk, put them to skills and start attacking, the minute magus starts shooting the leave-needle-bombs, immidiatly try to get the party to attack any nearby leaves, these detonate within a very fast time limit, so you must hurry, the result of none of these leaves have a 80% chance of whole party whiped out, so at least destroy 2 or 3. keep attacking and using mages souls on elk when needed, and yourself if ur using healing spells. dont spend over 5 mages souls on blackrose, she should die often, keep a close eye on elk, for he is a soft target. make sure they both stay safe and that your at a good distance. watch out for the leaves, godbless and goodluck. for a much more "in-depth" tactic and stratagy for Magus, Gorre, Skeith, Corbenik, or any phases, (bosses or bonus bosses or major bosses) please msg me. i hope my assistance has reached you. goodluck

All you really need is fishskin with "thunder coil". Tell blackrose and a wavemaster to attack/magic attack on magus while you thunder coil the leaves away, and most of the time hit Magus since thunder coil is just that awesome, and has a large hit range. You can heal your party yourself via health potions and sp restores easily.

I prefer doing this. Have or buy 90 Healing Potion to divide evenly to your party (30 to everyone in your party). Have Artisan Soul or Emporers' Soul either one is fine. thirty or twenty-five resurrects. The bloods and banes in your arsenal (to make fight a little bit less difficult).
Optional: Healing Exlire, Noble Wine, Divine Cross. These are good items so I have them in my inventory when I fight a boss like Skeith, Innis and Cubia.
Plus what element does Magus use? So far I've discovered Skieth used water and wood; Innis used fire and earth. Cubia used fire.
