Where does this really fit into the timeline?

I was thinking about this when i was re-playing .hack//MUTATION Mainly because of the fact we see memories from .hack//SIGN. Now, isn't this suposed to be before .hack//SIGN because AI Buster is right before this, and AI Buster is the second in the .hack timeline? So, if it's BEFORE how do we see .hack//SIGN memories if they've not happened yet?

.hack//AI Busters (manga)
The very first .hack series, this series revolves around helping out a wandering AI by the name of Lycoris, a failed version of Aura the Ultimate AI. Also the time frame of this series lies within "Fragment", the prequel to the more commonly played game known as the "The World". Here Lycoris seeks the aide of a male heavy blade by the name of Albireo also accompanied by Hokuto the fair young wave master. During their encounters, Orca and Balmung of the Azure Sea and Sky encounter Albireo and his group and attempt to aide him in his quest.

.hack//ZERO (manga)
This series is dedicated to the popular sinister twin blade, Sora. This whole series revolves around how Sora became the high level twin blade he is during .hack//SIGN and the events that led to the beginning of SIGN. Sora is a young twin blade who doesn't have the character model as you see in SIGN but a red pale looking character who hasn't a clue or a friend. Later on Sora gains an ally to become the strongest twin blade of The World.

.hack//SIGN-Intermezzo (anime ova)
A young wave master Tsukasa mysteriously finds himself laying in a dungeon without any memories leading to his collapse, he later finds that he can not log out of the game and also notices that he can feel, taste, and smell everything within the game. Soon later he finds himself the center of attention by everyone and later teams up with his friends and enemies to solve the mystery of The Key of Twilight. They soon find memories and trash data that clue them in on what The World is really about and of a mysterious young girl who awakens only to disturb the game itself.

Intermezzo takes place directly after .hack//SIGN, Mimiru and Bear search inside a dungeon only to tell the story of how Mimiru started off to play "The World"

.hack//Another Birth (manga)
Soon after the events of .hack//SIGN, a young heavy blade by the name of Blackrose finds her dear brother Kazu to be comatose while playing the game "The World". She decides to play the game for the very first time in search of saving her brother. She soon meets up with another novice by the name of Kite who becomes her trusted ally and the two go in search of curing the comatose players.

.hack//Infection-Mutation-Outbreak-Quarantine (videogame)
Orca decides to invite his close friend from the real world to join him into playing "The World". This newbie by the name of Kite starts off as a basic ordinary twin blade and accompanies his friend learning how to play the game. Not too long they witness a strange floating girl by the name of Aura who is being attacked by an unknown monster. Orca wishes to continue their investigation and soon pays for it. They meet up with the stranger girl and Orca is given the Book of 1000 and they find themselves face to face with the enemy who data drains Orca putting him into a coma. Aura makes a hasty decision and gives the book to Kite which transforms into a mysterious bracelet with the powers of Data Drain. Kite all along finds allies with the same problems, interest, and the one being interested in. Together they all fight enemies who are apart of The World and cause damages which escalate.

.hack//Liminality (anime ova)
During the adventures of Kite and group, outside of the game strange events occur which are caused by the game. Players fall comatose and its up to Mai and her group to learn more about the games mysterious origins, its creator, and its purposes.

.hack//Unison (anime ova)
With "The World" cured and back to good health after all viruses and components before the Ultimate AI's succession, everyone of The World gather together to take a time off relaxing and sharing memories of their quest together. Players from .hack//SIGN finally get the chance to meet up with those from .hack//INFECTION and return to the Net Slums to celebrate.

.hack//GIFT (anime oav)
The comic (parody) skit of the .hack series. Once again those from .hack//SIGN and .hack//INFECTION gather together to find that Helba has arranged yet another gathering but this time without an address to the location directly. Its' up to everyone to solve Helba's clue and becomes a race of who can get their the fastest.

.hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet (UdeDen/Dusk) (anime ova, manga)
Several years after all the events from the dot hackers, a new generation emerges. Balmung of the Azure Sky becomes a system administrator of The World. A young boy by the name of Shugo Kanasaki receives a call from his sister who no longer lives with him to join her in playing the world after winning the rare character models that resemble Kite and Blackrose, the legendary dot hackers. While starting off, strange problems are happening throughout the World. They start playing together and meet up with some friends and attend events as well as confronting strange monsters who can't die and finding themselves having to data drain them in order to stop them. Shugo and Rena find themselves being separated while visiting a dungeon and Shugo and friends begin searching for the lost and comatose Rena.
