question on ending -*spoilerz*-
im really sorry if theyres a topic already about this, but i couldnt find one. anyways, does anyone exactly KNOW what happens to Shugo and Rena at the end of the TV series //LOTB? they like....attack the chaos gate virus with the bracelet, but then it just goes blank. can ANYONE answer this?

The US aired version of the last episdoe is cut short, there is an actual ending to that plot which is only seen in the DVD's and fan subs. On the main site here has the portion that was not aired on the TV version.

Hmmm so it is offline...
Anyways, everyone slowly reunites one by one exactly like UNISION did, but just strictly those in Legend of the Twilight anime. Everyone gathers infront of Delta Server's Chaos Gate getting prepared to go on an event together including the one girl who created Mourti.
Shugo, Rena, Merille, Ouka, Hotaru, Sanjuro, Balmung, Reki, Kaumi, Magi, that girl (name forgotten still) stand before the gate happy and cheerful as if they were going on a picknik.....THE END!

oooo there's more?!? I just thought the unaired ending was a special type of ending credits -- I didn't know there was more...now I wanna buy the DVD 
or maybe I'll just wait until the link is fixed 
I always thought they died or fell into comas in the real world because everybody was all crying...that's kind of weird...everybody was all crying when in the end they all get reunited and are alright? oh well...I still wanna see it >.<

I understand but there's still a problem....
The ending to Legend of the Twilight was a little confusing. But I was happy to get to see the final episode even though I kind of understood what was going on. But if you compare the television series with the manga then you will be confused even more confused.
It doesn't really make a lot of sense what's going on in either the television and the manga. For example Rena was allegedly going to be killed by the Lich Lord when the group went to that mansion mistaken it as an event. In the television show the Lich Lord killed her and she was sent to that area outside the barriers of The World. In the manga Shugo, Mirell, and Ouka find her and defeat the Lich Lord, thus, Rena lives.

Rena is killed by the Lich Lord. she is taken to the area created by those four trouble makers that are associating with Morganna. Rena meets Aura for the first time. Then Shugo begins searching for a way to get to her by finding a modified monster that can't be defeated. Morganna makes an appearance and deletes most of the Cobalt Knight Brigade including Magi. Then Kite and the group fight Morganna and she's defeated as well as her modified monster. Then the world is being infected by a virus that will delete the world.
Rena is not killed by the Lich Lord. Then the next episode Zefie shows up. Which leads to the opening of The City of Illusion, Naval Monte. Shugo and the group ask every one. Mirell meets Wiseman obtaining the clue "four years ago." Shugo obtains a clue about "Net Slums." They leave. The Cobalt Knights arrest Shugo for illegal modificaton to his avatar and the others for being involved in his illegal actions. Ouka, Mirelle, Hotaru are release and their avatars are unharmed. However Shugo, Rena and Zefie have to stay. In the third book they break out of jail. Their next was they went to Delta: Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground where they meet Kazu (I think that's Blackrose's brother). Kazu gives Shugo and Rena Helba Key. Balmung of the Azure Sky appears and challenges Shugo to a fight. The fight is tough but Shugo manages to inflict one damage to Balmung. Shugo is rewarded with Virus Cores. Balmung leaves. Kamui appears and tries to stop Shugo and the group they manage to get out of their alive. They use Helba's key at the Chao's gate using the Core Viruses to get to the field Aura in. They arrive and we learn about what happens after .Hack//Sign the end.
