.hack Cosplay Music Video and Performance

I'm new to the boards, but I thought I would share some of my group's .hack cosplay work! At Sakura-Con this past March my group and I debuted our .hack cosplays at the costume contest. We portrayed Haseo, Shino, Ovan (.hack//G.U.), Albireo, Aika, Tokio (.hack//Link), and myself as AIDA infected Atoli (.hack//Trilogy). We won "Best Group Award" there for our costumes and skit, and I wanted to share that with you all in the below videos!
With our costumes we not only wanted to have a sense of unity as a group, but also wanted to pay tribute to the game beyond the original designs. Each of our costumes are rigged with LEDs in various places (depending on the design) to give viewers that sense that we're from the online world!
As far as the skit we understand that it is not entirely canon to the story lines of .hack//G.U., Trilogy, and Link. We had a modge podge of characters, and thus had to accommodate, but we tried to stay true to the integrity of each character! The skit itself was designed around the princess (Aika) calling the heroes of The World to protect her from the forces of AIDA. When Atoli approaches--distraught and infected--the heroes attack to release her from infection (just like in the games). Aika's influence finally releases her.
Inspired by our undying love for the .hack saga we then made a music video based on our skit idea! "Welcome to the World" was shot by our video team, and edited by myself. With limited time, and limited equipment we did the best we could--here's the result!
We're a small group of kids from Boise, Idaho, and we're just trying the best we can to portray our favorite characters from our favorite series. I hope you all enjoy, and thank you for your support! If you would like to find more of our work you can find us at:
