(IF you wish to join, please PM me with a character)
Exposition:
Since the beginning of time, a great, unseen battle has raged. Long before man existed, the angels, the devils and the gods fought to rule the planet. Each had their own vision of the world, but their constant conflicts left the world damaged and forced to rebuild. Finally, another force changed the balance of things.
The Emergence of human beings began to tilt the scale. Whereas before, the supreme beings fought an unseen war on a primitive landscape, they now found life that flourished that made combat have serious ramifications.
Humans, having forms similar to the supreme beings, caused growing regret in the leaders of the sides. Slowly, the more powerful beings moved away, leaving their lower level functionaries to fight an invisible war while man grew. The goal of these beings quickly became to coerce humans to their sides and hide themselves among these new mortals.
In this goal, however, the angels were divided. Divine Angels sought to guide these people towards goodness and law... whereas the angels who's wings turned black sought to rule them and subjugate them like slaves. THe angels fought a war among themselves, and when it ended, the fallen Angels were cast onto earth, where their spirits were eternally bound.
As the war continued, the futility of it slowly set in for each side. Angels that died simply returned to heaven and were reborn. Devils slain returned to the hell and were brought back into existence. Gods merely returned to their origin and were reincarnated.
For Fallen Angels, life was not so easy. Lacking a place for their spirit to recover, Fallen Angels take over unborn children and take life in their form. Few Pure Fallen Angels remain, but those that do still possess powers rivaling that of the other three supreme beings.
All four supreme beings, when traveling on earth, are cloaked from human detection. Humans cannot tell these creatures apart from humans, so only other supernatural creatures can distinguish one another.
Defining Characteristics and Goals:
Angels: Golden or silver wings of energy erupt from their back and they were shimmering armor of the same color. THeir preferred weapons are doubled-edged swords and spears. Angels seek to create Heaven On Earth, a stagnate land where everyone is charitable, happy and content without bias. (Lawful Good)
Fallen Angels: Fallen Angels seek to subjugate humans and wipe out their competitors through use of overwhelming strength and skill. Unlike the others, humans can tell one of the characteristics of the Fallen Angel: Deathly pale skin. Their skin causes Fallen Angels to look sickly, but to other supreme beings, the ink black, feathered wings growing out their back is sign enough. (Chaotic Neutral/Evil)
Devils: Devils are defined by their massive bat-like wings that close into a cloak whenever they aren't in use. Devils seek to rule over all, but to keep chaos only in the hierarchy of the rule, and not among the lesser beings they rule over. Their tactics are almost always duplicitous and calculated, unlike Fallen Angels, they tend to work in small groups to accomplish goals against common enemies. (Lawful Evil)
Gods: Gods are defined by their desire to live at one with the world they provide and receive their energy from. These beings have unnatural skin colors to other beings and radiate energy around them visibly. (Neutral Good)
Players Role:
The characters will begin in a park as night is oncoming. A flash of light and a powerful blast will knock all of the characters out. When they awaken, they will be greeted by a man who calls himself DM who will offer them powers to achieve their goals and gain retribution against the other Supreme Beings for their behavior or protecting humanity. What these characters use their powers for is up to them, but here are the basics:
Supreme Sight: Every character can see through the cloaking that divine beings have, so they are able to identify them on sight. This power also causes character's eyes to glow golden to the supreme beings.
Classes: Each character can choose one class and then take a specialization to gain bonus powers.
Knight: Skilled in combat, Knights are the embodiment of valor and martial prowess. Knights gain the ability to learn how to wield any weapon with great ease and have physical conditioning to allow them better use of armor.
Specializations:
Templar: Knights that dabble in divine energies, Templars draw strength from one of the four supreme beings or the strength of their conviction to an ideal. Templars channel energies through a weapon to devastate foes. Templars also possess unnatural energies that radiate from them, causing others to be more likely to follow them and assist them. Templars can unleash blasts of their chosen channeled energy a few times a day to overcome their foes and enhance their weapons and armor with blessings or curse their foes equipment depending on alignment.
Mage Knight: Knights who have decided to dabble in the arcane arts. Generally talented in drawing forth the powers of the natural world, they seal their ability to use magic into an object and use its power from there. Aside from that, each Mage Knight gains an Arcana power (a magical enhancement) that can either increase the strength of their magical powers, increase their physical capabilities, or grants them a sentient weapon to help in their quest.
High Mage: Skilled at drawing on light and dark as magical sources, these mages focus more on making allies stronger or debilitating enemies.
Specialization:
Light-Bound: One who walks in the light. These characters are specifically talented in making their allies stronger and calling upon light to aid them in combat. Although they can't heal with their powers, they can fire beams of light and infuse their allies with the powers of light energy.
Necromancer: The ultimate power of darkness is to raise the dead as your servants and empower them against your foes. Necromancers gain the power to create skeletons and zombies at first, but can create more enhanced undead as their dark powers grow. Their power over darkness is also such that it can harm the living effectively, while keeping the undead that are created more powerful than before.
Wild Mage: Deals in elemental magics and wielding Elements around them.
Specialization:
Elementalist: Choose one element. This character forgoes talent with other elements, but their skill with this element is greatly enhanced, giving them slightly more powerful spells of this type earlier than a generic wild mage, but they lack the versatility of one.
Forger: One who creates golems and other constructs, Forgers use their elemental powers to craft something to protect themselves and their allies. Although they lack other offensive powers with magic, they gain the power to create, maintain and repair the construct they build with the chosen element it is created of.
Cleric: Those who have bound themselves to an ideal or one of the supreme being's sides stands ever at the ready to protect their cause. Clerics possess the power to channel the absolute energies of their divine source or ideal into the real world and fight to the end protect it. A balance of the high mage and knight, clerics can heal wounds and raise the dead as their powers continue to grow.
Specialization:
Grand Healer: Forgoing combat skills and the ability to buff allies, Grand Healers possess the unique power that they can focus all of their divine will into healing. In this way, Grand Healers gain access to healing spells much faster than other clerics and they gain the ability to raise the recently dead (within ten minutes of death) upon gaining their cleric powers, although it can only be used once per week at that point.
Paladin: Some Clerics choose to forgo any necessity of remaining out of combat and prefer to charge head-first into danger. Paladins focus all of their powers and skills into use of weapons and spells that harm foes. They can only heal allies that they can reach, making them effective front-line healers, however their healing effects aren't as great as a normal cleric. However, their talent with weapons and ability to wear heavier armor makes Paladins more survivable than other divine warriors.
Rogue: Stealthy and dangerous, rogues skulk in the shadows of the world and follow their own codes. What those codes might entail is ever different, however Rogues are content to simply act as they need. Rogues are skilled with most types of light weapons (daggers, firearms and other easily concealed weapons) and tend to hide in plain sight. They also possess knowledge of weak points, allowing them to exploit enemy weaknesses they can see when they attack.
Specialization:
Charlatan: A rogue who has taken some time to learn a bit of magic or dabble in some dark arts. Charlatans cannot cast spells themselves, but they can read magical script and cast spells from scrolls or magical items. Charlatans can also detect magic in objects, although specifically figuring out what kind requires time and focus.
Assassin: Whereas Rogues live by their own codes, Assassin's take this to the extreme. Assassin's have mastered stealth to the point where they can hide within shadows that aren't their own. Their skill with concealed weapons is such that every strike is considerable to be lethal. Assassins, however, suffer from being extremely frail. Their focus on hiding and delivering the killing blow makes direct combat for them almost always lethal for them.

My Character:
Name: Hedric "Zorlo" Zolfsteader
True Name: Zorlo Amaranthine
Age: 25
Height: 5'9''
Class: Knight
Specialization: Mage Knight
Powers: Sword Mage: A mage that specializes in a bonded, sentient sword. Zorlo's sword, Aincrad, has the power of shape-shifting into the Seven Swords of the Iron Castle.
Exia: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_j0ErTioUK50/S ... _03_11.jpg
The first non-generic form of Aincrad Zorlo unlocked. Exia is a blade that lightens Zorlo's armor so he has higher mobility and is more aerodynamic, allowing him to effectively air dash and glide; however, it also means he is easier to harm. The blade is generally locked against the side of a shield that also has attached a gun function that shoots swords of energy. The blade itself has concentrated magic along the blade, allowing it to slice easily through most magical barriers. This sword is a high speed, anti-magician weapon.
Tapion: http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2 ... kening.jpg
Tapion is the second from of Aincrad. This is the first form that can harm the physical forms that Angels, gods and devils take in the material world. It is simply a broad sword that is strapped along Zorlo's left side with green blade and a red sheathe. This sword, although simple in form, allows Zorlo to condense the magical energy in his body to throw concussive blade-waves and lightning slashes from the blade of the sword.
Cromwell: THe third form of Aincrad. Although a simple blue sheath that leans towards Zorlo's right hand, this sheathe has the power to condense Zorlo's magical energy into swords of pure magical energy. These swords have many uses, but are fairly simple in appearance. IT is possible for several swords to be drawn at once and split up after they are created.
Personality: A man who idealizes noble ideals and chivalry, he imagines himself a knight of the modern world. Despite this (or because of this, rather), he has very few friends and is quite bitter. He feels that suffering is caused by a lack of civility and rigidity of day to day life, and this has made him extremely cold at times. Deep down, however, Zorlo merely seeks someone who understands his odd quirks.
Biography: Zorlo was a man who made his living as a student for the first part of his life (as most people do). He idealized the dreams of knighthood and helping the meager. LIfe wasn't so kind however. Zorlo lives in a studio apartment by himself in mostly silence working as a stock clerk at a convenience store near his apartment building. The night where he became a knight, he was supposed to meet someone for a blind date set up for him by one of his coworkers.
In truth, Zorlo was born Zorlo Amaranthine, to the mage family of Amaranthine. His mother was a famous witch, his sister a Sorcerer born with great might, and his Grandfather was a notable alchemist who, through a bit of tinkering, turned himself into a cat. To date, he has been in exile and avoided detection by concealing his lost memories. Now that he has returned to his old self, he awaits their acts of locating him.

Name: Cecile Blanc
Age: 16
Appearance: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v405/ ... heMask.jpg
Height: 5'4"
Class: Wild Mage
Specialization: Forger
Personality: Cecile is a girl quite aware of circumstances. If she can keep someone from losing something important, she will do her best to stop it. Otherwise, she allows people to stew in their own problems if they don't learn their lesson. She's very much a big sister to anyone who will allow her to be one.
Bio: Having made some not so smart choices in her life, Cecile grew up in a middle class family. She started spending time in middle school with people that weren't so trustworthy. Her innocence opened her to begin selling herself to other men to earn money. She truly believed it was a good job until she found out she was sick.
She felt as if she had lost her innocence and respect, so she chose to begin associating with even worse company. She stopped attending school and learning how to earn money through other ways. Her current job is dealing in the latest party drug. She stays with her boyfriend after running away from home.
Name: Elsa Amsel
Age: 24
Appearance: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v405/ ... Police.jpg
Height: 5'6"
Class: Cleric
Specialization: Grand Healer
Personality: A woman who would rather be serious only when she has to be. Otherwise, she's a bit of a space case and tends to lose logic when she chooses what to do. When serious, she's a strategist and desires to keep people from being harmed.
Bio: Elsa grew up in a single parent family. She was always dependable, but a bit air headed when it came to reality. As a result, she had a diverse group of friends, mostly those that find her fun to be around and tease her lightly. She decided to be a clerk after she graduated from college and maintains a serious look out at work. Outside of work, she tends to be found wearing clothes meant for younger people and getting sweets.

Re: The Hidden Game
Name: Allrainne Labrynnthos
Age: 21
Height: 5' 9"
Class: Cleric
Specialization: Iron Paladin - A Paladin that focuses the reminder of their meager healing into raw offensive and defensive capability. Acting as a Mobile Fortress, she block her opponent's view of the battlefield and her allies before taking them down with devastating attacks. Supreme Offensive & Defensive power, but a bit on the slow side.
Powers-
Freiturnier: The Creation of Armor & Destroyer: Hammer of the White Wolf- As the name Implies, it channels Allrainne's desire to protect her sister & allies into powerful, semi-sentient armor and Shield & several, devastating weapons respectively. Freiturnier is capable of activating on its own to Protect Allrainne from threats.
Guard - An Iron Paladin's specialty. Using the Freiturnier's Shield, they take a defensive stance drastically reduces the effect of, if not outright negating, enemy attacks. When used for Total Defense, one can temporarily achieve 'Immovable Object' status.
Hammer the Gap: Lunatic Blow - A Sword Skill where Allrainne infuses powerful energies into the Destroyer and then repeatedly pummels and blasts opponents with it.
Personality: Generally nice and helpful, Allrainne prefers to help other mainly when they're trying to help themselves and will quickly leave those that give up to fend for themselves unless she has reason not to. She's blunt and to the point and places her first priority on the protection of her Kid sister and is suitably quick to bare fangs if you hurt or threaten her.
Bio: Allrainne & her sister grew up in relatively normal, though unfortunate, household, was good as sports and relatively popular. When their mother died in a car accident that left Arianna badly injured, however, things took the down-hill slope. Their father, already an alcoholic, turned to more heavy drinking and Allrainne was forced to take over the household chores as well. When he turned violent every so often, she was she one to take it and give it back to protect Arianna. It wasn't until the night he crossed a line and she snapped that she decided to do something. After leaving him face-down on the floor, she and Arianna packed what they could and left. Currently, they're looking for a place to stay until Allrainne can afford somewhere decent for them to say.

Name: Arianna Labrynnthos
Age: 13
Height: 4' 11"
Class: High Mage
Specialization: Shining Electra - A High Mage specialized into the combined use of Photon(Light) & Electron(Lightning) Powers to attack with various beams and blasts and can enter special augment modes to farther enhance her abilities with special effects. High output and great Mobility, but below defense.
Powers-
Particle Affinity - As her body is now charged & aligned with photons and electrons, Light & Electrical damage is reduced by about 70%.
Energy Crystal Spectrum: Unlocked when Arianna made her determination to fight and help others. When 'activated' it allows Arianna to crystallize small bits of energy in order to create special energy fields that modify both the function & even the direction of her beams and blasts. The Field's effects are incorporeal & one-way and don't effect things coming through the other way.
--------Spectrum Mode: This augment mode causes Beams & Blasts to fragment into multiple Beams & Blasts. A cone diffusion of 3-9 can be created with this mode, but to change the number, a new field must be made each time.
Blinding Light "Photon Flare" - Arianna unleashes a burst of energy around her, causing enemies within 10 meters to be Blinded & Deafened for roughly 20-30 seconds, effectively mimicking a high yield Flash-bang grenade.
Photon Air "Electron Glide" - By emitting the particles in her body, Arianna can glide across the ground and 'air dash' short distances, greatly enhancing mobility. Can also be used to help prevent falling injury.
Photon Sign "Particle Ray" - Arianna emits a piercing beam of particles by concentrating Energy on the palm & fingertips. Low 'stopping' power, but boasts very high Piercing ability.
Personality: Quiet and somewhat shy, if she speaks, it's usually in a quiet, frail voice directed at her older sister. Strangely distrustful of other people with an aversion to being touched by men, Other then talking with her sister, Arianna is an avid reader and has an interest in technology. She also acts as Allrainne's 'leash' of sorts, keeping her big sister from doing something overly rash or saying something to alienate them from others too badly.
Bio: Arianna doesn't really remember too much of her early life before the car accident, though she remember that it wasn't bad. The Accident was a blur. Jarring force... a scream... all she could remember was being in tremendous, overwhelming pain, darkness and a warm light where she heard her mother say, "Please, don't follow me. Not this time...." Unknown to her at the time, she'd been comatose for three and a half months, recovering from injuries that had taken her left eye and most of her left lung amongst many other injuries. She vividly remembered her father getting angry at her for looking like mom and the fights that would ensure between her father and Allrainne. Remembered how hard it was to play and stuff with her crippled body. And on the night they left, she remembered being scared of what might happen to Allrainne or their father if they stayed. Her big sister had looked surprised when Arianna suggested leaving, but quickly agreed as she thought about what happened. They've been traveling since.

Re: The Hidden Game
(And so the game begins)
What the hell was I thinking? Why am I here? The hell is wrong with me? Zorlo asked himself as he sighed and looked at a nearby clock to check the time. Sitting on a bench at the park, the man with faux-green hair lamented this turn of events. He sighed as he pulled the hood of his sweater over his head and laid back in the chair. "I can't believe I'm so nervous I came fifteen minutes early. What kind of idiot do I look like being here fifteen minutes early?"
In truth, Zorlo was really nervous. His hair was already fading... he'd only died it a week ago and it was already fading to the bleached color under the green. This made him look somewhat disheveled in general. It wasn't just his hair, but the whole concept of the date that had him worried.
A coworker had set him up with her friend. She'd said he'd seemed down of late (and this was, in fact, the truth, though Z was remiss to admit it) and that perhaps a blind date would do his confidence wonders. For now, the green-haired man looked at the clock again. It was odd, he noted, that when a person was nervous and doing nothing, how the time seemed to stand still.
In the sky, the clouds became thick and heavy. THe air crackled with energy as the two beings faced off high above sight range of humans. The air became thick and heavy around the park as the few people that were there on this night could feel intense pressure forcing itself down. Something big was about to happen. Zorlo could feel it.
(Basically, opening post is why your character is at the park and them feeling this pressure. This'll be great. ^_^)

Re: The Hidden Game
"You're the one with the invites?" A man with a leather jacket spoke. His eyes seemed a bit clouded as he looked at a woman wearing a tank top with no discernable logo or design. The skirt was of a similar concept with a plain belt. The only thing that really seemed distinct was the perfume, a big hit with rich old ladies right now. He examined the look she gave him.
"Depends on the party you're looking for." She answered, reaching into her purse lightly. "Do you have the means to bribe the bouncer?" Her eyes were half closed as she waited for him to react. A smile came onto his face as he pulled out a tight wad of bills. Part of him was glad that the park was hiding the two of them in the shadows.
"You think he likes this amount?"
"He'll let you in, but you'll have to do better than that to have all night." She spoke, pulling out half a sheet of what looked like medicinal pills. They had a small star on them. She grasped the wad and placed it in her purse. "Is that all you need?"
"Stingy. You can't give me a break, Blanc? I can't give up that much from my allowance." The woman closed her eyes and spoke again.
"I don't make deals I'll regret. Now get to the party before I give your money back. You know other people would cheat you with a quarter for this much." The guy sighed and walked off towards the nearest night club. The woman tensed a little at the pressure she was starting to feel. Were there going to be surprises tonight?
----
Elsa yawned as she walked into the park. She had had a long week and it felt like it'd only go on from this point. The office was in an uproar over some new things that were going wrong. One of the clients decided to start hounding for a project that was going to start next month too. She knew that she should hope that it would lighten up, but business was either high and crazy or slow and dull. She could never get the middle. She looked at her watch, considering what she should get for dinner. As she decided it might be good to get something unhealthy for once, she started to feel a bit confused. Something was wrong with the air.

Re: The Hidden Game
Maes slumped down on a bench in the park, a smile on his lips. "Did you like the show Morgan? Which one was your favorite? The last one? Hah, yeah, I guess that makes sense. Tell you what, I'll play something quieter for you when we get home." Maes placed a saucer on the ground and filled it with milk he had bought on their walk over from the concert hall. Music and theater were two things that involved him getting out of the house and he didn't have to talk to or otherwise interact with anybody. The first was something that made his parents happy and the second suited him and Morgan just fine. A win-win as they say, so he attended plays and concerts from the safety of a private booth.
When they noticed the pressure, Morgan jumped into Maes's lap to stand defiantly between whatever supernatural thing he was sensing and his charge. A job made more difficult when the boy wrapped his arms around his security cat. Morgan growled defiantly once more from his now less than intimidating position.

Re: The Hidden Game
Allrainne sighed tiredly a moment as she sat down on a shady park bench, interrupting the reading Arianna to hand the scarred girl a hot dog, starting on the other herself. It really wasn't much, but for now it was enough for Arianna, whom didn't eat much, and with their current amount of money, they had to do their best to stretch it until they could find a place and she could get a second job to build up money. Not to mention, the issue of their father was still a problem in and of itself. They'd drove by earlier that week to see that his car was still in the driveway and at this point she wasn't sure if he was just taking leave to recover or if he was still face down on the floor. Either way, the fact that police could be coming for them (or rather, for Allrainne) at some point was concerning.
"....Huh...?' The quiet sound nudged from her dark thoughts as she noticed Arianna looking around with both confusion and concern. Her somewhat frail form could easily feel the growing, omnipresent pressure that was growing. It made her empty socket and scars ache. She looked up to see that Allrainne was feeling it too now, looking around with some weariness now. The girl had never felt something like this before. This was like something out of her books. Allrainne pat her on the shoulder.
"You feel that too...?" Allrainne asked. When her sister nodded, she put an arm around her shoulders. "Finish up. We'll leave as soon as you're ready," she replied, finishing her own foot-long. Something was wrong here.

Re: The Hidden Game
Five minutes left. The man tapped his foot impatiently. Had she stood him up... or what? He wondered and wondered, but that lingering feeling of dread filled his heart as he looked at the sky. THe dark clouds were now beginning to swirl. "A hurricane... or cyclone... or something like that... in the middle of town?" Zorlo asked as a bright beam of light moved down slowly from the sky before crashing into the ground. In a flash... everything went dark.
~~~
When the light faded, all that remained was a massive crater in the ground. Energy surged from within the field, but little else remained. Still, there was another force there.
Within an extradimensional space, the middle-aged man laughed. "These kids," he said as he looked at the six people and the cat with a smile. "They are but the latest victims in this ancient war. Still... it's been quite a while since I've had my fun screwing with their effectiveness. Perhaps these mortals will be an enjoyable lot to have fight them..." the man said as he held his hand out.
"Power of the Beyond Plane, grant me insight. What is their effectiveness?" he asked as small pieces rose from the seven before glowing and taking a form. "I see. How fascinating. Even the similar natures are unlike one another. These ones might fair better than my last lot... Well, let us see," the man said as the pieces sunk back into the mortals and their bodies flashed. Life returned to them as each gasped for another breath.
"You won't recall this event, but when you've made sense of what you have gained tonight, I shall find you all again and explain your purpose. I am DM, and I shall humbly help guide your hands through this chaos."
Another flash of light erupted and the seven vanished, returning to their homes to continue resting.
~~~
Zorlo's alarm went off and sighed as he rolled out of his bed and hit the floor hard. "Ouch, ouch, ouch," he muttered as he stood up and looked in the mirror as he yawned. He blinked a few times as something shook him awake. The man looked at the roots of his hair and the color of the rest of his hair and was astonished... it was all green again. Fully green, as he'd always wanted. "I don't know what's going on here... but..." Zorlo stated as he headed over to his closet and opened it up and started getting dressed for work. "Today is a work day... gotta get into that crap..."

Re: The Hidden Game
Maes woke up in bed, it was dark, very dark. Too dark. He pawed at his head, figuring that there were just covers over his head, there was something on his head but he wasn't able to pull it off and then realization struck. He screamed, or rather yelped and started pawing around trying to figure out where he was. "Maes, Maes, calm down. We're home." Someone picked Maes, in Morgan's body, up and held him close. Smelled like, well himself and as he started focusing on the scents he realized he was in his bed just not his body. After several long minutes he started trying to talk, it came out as meows but that didn't seem to bother Morgan. "What's going on?" "I don't know, but I don't smell him, do you?" Several seconds passed and Maes shook his head and meowed, "No. Last thing I remember we were at the park and then." "We woke up here, like this. Someone's been in our heads again, but it wasn't... Let's just focus on trying to get back to- meow." They found themselves in their own bodies again. Maes pulled the dresser aside revealing his long disused mirror and seeing all of his own scars and no fur coat he breathed a sigh of relief. Morgan was standing next to him and he ran a hand across the cat's back. "You know how that happened Morgan?" The cat, now in his own body, was now doing the meowing, but Maes found he could understand it perfectly now. "No, but let's figure that out after breakfast. At least I can communicate more directly with you now, so it shouldn't take too long." "Right."
When Maes reached for the mostly empty gallon of milk in the fridge, he felt a flutter of wind and it fell over towards him. Weird. He poured some milk over cereal and the rest into a saucer for Morgan. "Maes-honey, would you light the stove please?" He didn't reply he simply picked up the box of matches and went to light the stove. He turned the gas on and pulled out a match, but before he could strike it it caught flame. He stared at it for a second, "Morgan, did the match just light itself?" "It sounds and smells that way, yes." After several seconds more he finally started to ask, "How did-" Maes didn't get to finish his thought though as the gas from the stove finally reached the match and exploded in his face. He landed several feet away and he blinked several times when his mother came running and asking him something he couldn't quite hear. What is that loud ringing? You let the gas blow up in your face. Just nod a few times and look directly at her. Maes did so and his mother seemed to relax, she was saying something else "- air me like that again, ok?" He nodded in reply as his hearing seemed to come back, but it was off somehow as if... He turned towards Morgan, the cat was pawing at his own ears now and then shrugged and walked towards into the living room. "It's a miracle you weren't hurt. Just go sit down for a minute, ok?" He nodded and joined Morgan on the couch. He checked himself over and he wasn't hurt, but there was something going on with his jacket. As he ran his hand over it he felt a pulse and the more he looked at it he noticed there were faint glittering blue veins all over it. He blinked and they were gone again until he focused on trying to see them again. "What's up with my jacket?" "I don't know, I can't-" Maes suddenly couldn't see. "see. Hey move your head to the right." He didn't breathe, but he did as the cat instructed. And after a second he found himself seeing again, although he realized he had no depth perception as if he only had one eye and Morgan cocked his head stating, "Interesting. I think we can trade senses, and motor control." "Yeah." "Let me see the coat again."
After several minutes of experimentation they figured a few things out and Morgan decided that they should recreate last night's events and see if that jogged their memories at all. For starters, Maes would buy some fresh milk.

Re: The Hidden Game
She felt a slight hand on her shoulder as she woke up. "Cecile, we've got work to do. You can't just sleep in." She could tell the hand was a bit rough as she turned to look at the person. It was her boyfriend, the last time he had a real name had been some normal name like Jean. Now he just had the name Noir. Probably to make sure that they sounded like a team.
"How was the party?" She asked, standing up from the bed and beginning to pick up a towel. Normally she would feel in pain in the morning until she took her pills. For some reason she felt it wasn't nearly as painful as before. She looked at the pill bottle for a moment.
"You weren't there at all. You came home pretty early in the evening." Noir's eyes raised as he saw her actions. "Are you in any pain?"
"Seems like the pain has subsided." She spoke, placing the bottle down. "I'll check it out later with the doctor. Perhaps after the meeting this morning." She entered the bathroom without allowing him to follow her. At this point, she didn't quite remember anything past the drug deal or the pressure.
----
Elsa heard her alarm showing it's love by bugging her to get up. She dragged herself out of bed and towards the bathroom. When had she gotten home? What had she eaten? Her mind felt foggy as she entered the shower. She'd have to get to work either way or she wouldn't get paid on time again. Perhaps she'd remember later when she was having lunch.

Re: The Hidden Game
With the advent of Sunlight on her face, Allrainne rather quickly woke up. She was in her car and from the gentle breathing coming from the back seat and a quick look, she knew Arianna was too. Wait, gentle...? Allrainne looked back again at her sleeping sister. The scarred girl was oblivious, sleeping with a peaceful look on her face and taking soft, deep breaths. Ever since the accident, her breathing had become shallower as she'd said it hurt to try and breathe deeply. Even in sleep, her breaths were shallow and her face was slightly pained, but now her she was breathing deeply and peacefully and her color was better too. What was going on...? What happened to cause this? The question sparked another concern. What had happened last night? She remembered the pressure. She remembered Ariana finishing her hot dog and grabbing her book. Then....Here, in the car. Too many things were going on that couldn't be explained and judging by the crowd she could see down the street, More things were happening too. But for now, she'd sit back and wait for Arianna to wake up.
Re: The Hidden Game
Zorlo sighed as he looked at his coworker and raised his hand to continue talking. "So not only did she blow me off at the last second, but something insane happened in that park just before I learned that she wasn't going to show up... really?" he asked with an annoyed sigh. Zorlo cracked his shoulder and stormed out in annoyance. It was going to be one of those days.
Still, she said something happened at the park. The man brushed his green hair back and began to rush towards the park. His hair... did this have something to do with it? Or did it have something to do with why he woke up in his room that morning with no memory of what had happened? Too many questions and not enough answers...
And with that, Z rushed to the park where he found it... a large crater that seemed to flow with unnatural power. The earth shook slightly again for a second as Zorlo fell to one knee and looked in the crater. "What the hell caused this?" he asked as he felt the power that still danced through the crater. "What happened last night."

Maes stared at Zorlo from his bench and spoke quietly to Morgan, "That man's eyes they're glowing." A quick switch and Morgan purred agreement, "Yeah, I'm going to go see what I can learn about him." Maes shrank down a little more and pulled his hood up a little casting his face into deeper shadows.
Morgan slunk over to Zorlo, Maes had been too afraid to approach the crater and he had more important things to do up until that point, like drinking milk and keeping Maes from hyperventilating. The latter was of course a full time job, especially with the events of this morning. Finding Zorlo wasn't difficult, Morgan could smell the power on him from a hundred yards away. He rubbed up against Z's legs, made sure he was the new scent of power, and hopped down into the crater to make certain that none of the smells he was noticing were from the "man" he and Maes had been taken by those years ago.
"Morgan." Maes choked on the words when he noticed the cat jumping down into the crater and the boy hurried closer in order to get a visual on him. The wind threw his hood back off his head and he arrived with a slight, if sudden, breeze and audible sigh of relief upon seeing his friend. "Maes, your mixing all of the scents together, calm down." Meowed Morgan, annoyed.

Re: The Hidden Game
"You're not feeling any pain? Even without the pills?" The doctor spoke, looking at Cecile's chart. "It could be that you're just having a very good day. Though, with the stage you're in, that is quite rare. Are you sure you aren't in any pain, even now?" He had done an examination, and her state actually was better than he had ever seen her. The last stages didn't just disappear out of nowhere.
"I don't know what it is or why it happened." Cecile answered, starting to stand up from the chair. "I'll be back for the test results." She began to walk out of the private room, her purse under her arm. She exited the building as she tried to figure it out. What had happened during the time at the park was still a mystery to her. Perhaps she should go to the park to try and remember.
----
Elsa stretched her arms in the air. She hadn't remembered to make lunch apparently. Why had she forgotten to do that? She'd have to head towards her usual lunch spot to eat. Still, why hadn't she remembered? "I suppose I should go shopping on the way home."

Re: The Hidden Game
It was weird... She never been this up and awake so quickly or easily while waiting for Arianna to wake up. She'd always nodded back off or inadvertently woken her little sister up trying to stay awake. It was one more thing to add to the growing list of strange. Ah... there it was. With a soft groan she heard her sister stir and push herself up. She turned back in time to see Arianna yawn. "Morning. How do you feel?"
"...okay," she replied sleepily, rubbing her eye. When she looked at her older sister, they both had a moment of surprise as they met gazes. "Sis... your eyes, they..."
"Yeah... you too..." Allrainne replied. To Allrainne, her sister's eye had a sort of golden overlay to them. Gold, but not gold at the same time. To Arianna, her sister's pupils were golden with the irises partly golden as if from the pupil's overflow. Even that surprise, however, couldn't stop to of nature and seeing her sister shift she nodded. she need to as well. All well and good since the public bathrooms near the park were closest good restrooms she'd found for them to use and she wanted to find out what happened to them anyway. So, she stared up the car and drove down closer to their objective. What awaited them was anything but what they expected.
"..it's... gone..." said Arianna in shock as they parked across the road. In fact, all that was left of the once beautiful park was a deep crater and part of the bathrooms. Enough of it was left to let them relieve themselves before going out the look at the crater itself. But... what could've happened here. Something to do with their missing memories...? "Sis... over there." Allrainne looked to where her younger sister pointed, seeing the two men talking a little bit away from them, a cat moving around their feet. Allrainne could also see the glow of the two's eyes from here, if faintly. This day was just full of weird, it seemed as the two approached the men with some caution and called out a greeting.

Re: The Hidden Game
Zorlo had moved his arm down to pet the cat as it walked and leapt into the crater. Zorlo paused as revelation struck him... that cat had had golden eyes. It wasn't TOO shocking, as he was talking about a cat, but it was kinda odd. The light shuffling of feet and a gust of wind that blew the young man's hood down who approached and seemed fixated on the cat. However, the golden eyes of the human seemed to shake him into reality. SOmething very odd was going on here... had he been here last night as well?
Zorlo sighed and looked at the sky. "What a strange freaking mystery. As if things couldn't get too much worse. First I get stood up by some person I've never met... then I wake up and find a huge crater here... work sucks... man life is crappy," the man said as he leaned forwards and rested his chin on his hands. "So what can I do?" he asked as he heard a voice calling out.
Greetings came from another direction that caused him to look around. Two girls, that almost looked like younger sisters or a mother and daughter, were trying to get... SOMEONES attention. Zorlo looked around in confusion as he tried to determine who. He didn't SEE anyone but himself and the kid with golden eyes...
Then it settled in on him... they each had golden eyes of their own... different... but similar to the boys. "What the hell?" he asked as he stood up and waved back awkwardly. He didn't really know what to do in this kind of situation. he'd just wing it. That'd be for the best, right?

When the other man started talking, Maes pulled his hood back up and shuffled away from Zorlo. He didn't know who this guy was, he hadn't even thought about the fact that his eyes were aglow before he ran up there until just that moment. It then registered that Morgan's eyes had been glowing earli- someone called out and he jumped in fear and surprise. Maes twisted in the air to fall into the crater backwards, practically on top of Morgan. On instinct he did a combination of curling into a ball and trying to avoid falling on his cat and would have ended up being extremely painful and quite embarrassing, fortunately Maes didn't really have any pride to be wounded. Despite smacking the back of his head against a rather pointy rock, he was just a little winded but otherwise unharmed.
Morgan walked over to and hopped on top of Maes mewling admonishingly, "Relax, it's just a couple of girls." A couple of girls who were eating hotdogs here yesterday. "Stand up and dust yourself off." Morgan didn't waste any more time down there, it hadn't been him, and he went over to the approaching girls. Just because Maes wasn't going to be sociable didn't mean he couldn't.
Maes got to his feet, readjusted his hood against the sun, and brushed off some dust. He took just enough steps up the side of the crater to watch Morgan, or he was going to but he froze when he latched eyes onto Arianna's face. Her eye... Maes clenched his fists, digging fingernails into his branded palms to keep from hyperventilating at the memory.

Re: The Hidden Game
Cecile did not look surprised at so many people being at the park today. Of course, the park missing was new to her. She adjusted the purse strap and moved a bit closer to the strange crater. She reflected on what she was doing while, trying to figure out what had happened. Everyone here had a strange glow in their eyes. Perhaps a side effect of whatever had happened to her. Why had her sickness been healed? She didn't believe in divine intervention or they would have kept her pure for much longer. There were strange people here. One had a cat and seemed to either be in tune with someone or held some strange thought process.
The other confused her completely. He seemed far too normal in reaction. She figured the entire thing was a drug trip of sorts.

Re: The Hidden Game
The sisters stopped a bit apart from Zorlo and Maes, Allrainne eyeing Maes cautiously as Arianna Squatted down to pet the approaching Morgan affectionately. She missed having a cat, as the one he'd had before passed away from old age some time ago. It only took one look to realize Morgan's eyes were damaged. "...poor thing... something hurt you pretty bad, huh...?" she said quietly to the cat, not even thinking of whether or not the cat understood her as she scratched behind its ears.
Allrainne merely smiled at the scene before turning her attention back to everyone else, including the newest woman to walk up. "Gold eyes... Gold Eyes.. and Gold eyes... Okay then, I guess that makes things easier," Allrainne then stated out of the blue as she looked at everyone there and crossed her arm. "I'll make this quick and simple for everyone. Who knows what happened here yesterday and who can remember the last..." She took a moment to look at her watch before recrossing her arms. "...12 or so hours of their lives?" she asked bluntly, waiting patiently for answers.
