The Secret World
The religions of old weren’t too far off on some accounts. Demons do exist and have finally managed to surface all across the Earth. They are now invading Earth, intent on wiping out the human race and anything that stands in their way. Three groups of varied beliefs have been waiting for this day and are prepared in their own unique way. The Templars of old, blessed with ancient magic and yet cursed with the undying desire to kill demons and everything they stand for; The Illuminati, a New York based group of secretive members, granted with talents such as espionage and magics that are aimed at helping them, with Machiavellian belief that the strong, rule over the weaklings beneath them which just so happen to include demonkind; and lastly, the Dragons, an anarchistic group currently based in Seoul who take life into their own hands, unpredictably changing anything simply to be able to achieve whatever they set their hearts too. All three essentially rule from the shadows, but rule none the less. Now that there seems to be a common enemy between the three, will they be able to come together in order to preserve their previous lifestyles, or will they choose to stay separate and run the risk of ultimate failure?

Bio: Beck's family has been a part of the Templars for centuries, and has grown up in preparation for the day that the demons would come. He was taught from a very young age that demons would come and that it would be up to him and the rest of the Templars to fight against the demons. He was taught Ice magic by his mother, as he was more in tune with the element of ice, as opposed to his father's more aggressive Earth element. While learning ice, he was also handed down the blade that ice wielders used, though his mother was skilled, Beck traveled to train with other Templars who were skilled to teach him. He trained until he was considered one of the best sword wielders in the Templars. He has integrated magic use into his swordplay. As a member of the Templars, he looks down on those who are not in it, and believes that others should not try and slay the demons.

(I'll start)
the town of Cheddar looked practically ordinary, wooden houses and dirt roads, a traveler came into view on a motorcycle, the villagers paid no heed to the traveler and proceeded about their business, the traveler then parked in front of the church then got off, the traveler appeared to be a young boy in his late teens wearing a greatcoat and a traveling hat with goggles, he entered the church and sat, the priest currently holding the mass is said to perform miracles, all of the villagers listened to him fervently, the traveler noted the the villagers are rather ripe, the traveler however just sat normally while listening, suddenly the door of the church burst open and there stood a blonde young woman in red, "what is the meaning of this?!" asked the priest bewildered, "I should be asking you the same, demon" answered the young woman, "you have a lot of bollocks to impersonate a priest, let alone step inside hallowed ground" she replied arrogantly, the villagers stood up and suddenly rushed at her, she drew a gun and began shooting them in the head one by one, as the last of the villagers fell she then pointed it at the priest, "Thralls, dont you vampires have anything new?" she replied sounding bored, the priest then bared his teeth to reveal sharp canines, he then transformed into something less human then grabbed her by the leg, "thats new" replied the young woman as she found herself hanging upside down, "you smell of templar you little wench, I'll enjoy making you suffer" replied the vampire, "BANG!", the Vampire shrieked in an unearthly voice as he faced the direction of the shot, it was the traveler, he then lunged at the traveler but his attacked was simply dodged with a side step, the traveler loaded a different round and fired at the creature, moments later men and women wearing red were burning the village to the ground and the two from earlier stood watching, "took your time Kino" said the blonde, "I was just waiting for an opportune moment miss Alice" replied Kino, "well we're done here, lets go back to headquarters" said Alice as they boarded a helicopter...

Re: The Secret World
Darkness falls lightly on a city like Brooklyn, New York. The sky can be pitch black, but the city itself never sleeps. Though the Illuminati headquarters lies underneath the actual city, several of the members kept a form of housing above ground to divert any possible suspicions about the member’s whereabouts. One member watched the streets below her ebb and flow with people out late, silently wondering from an apartment window what had them all out at such a late hour.
“Ma’am?” called a soft male voice from behind her. She turned her gaze from the window to the man, who stood a good four inches taller than her, even in her heels. He looked like your typical business man; He wore a name-brand suit from collar to shoes with solid gold cufflinks and a tie clip to match. It took a specific eye to notice the small symbols adorning the gold, but anyone who saw it would recognize it easily. It was their symbol, marking him as one of the Illuminati.
“Yes, Eric? What is it?” she replied equally as soft, brushing a loose strand of blonde hair away from her face as she did.
“Ms. Addison sent me to inform you of her recent success, Ms. Lambert. She wishes to meet with you later tonight, if you don’t mind, to discuss what she found out.” The blonde woman nodded in reply and turned back to face the window, her attention falling immediately back to the people walking the streets below.
“When you report back to her, do me a favor as well, please,” she asked, looking to the actual window as a handful of raindrops landed before her on the glass. Eric quickly replied, “Yes ma’am,” and she continued. “Find Alexander and tell him that Claire need to speak with him later. He might not give you a reply to send back to me, but that’s okay. I don’t expect one.”
“Yes, Ms. Lambert. I’ll do that immediately.”
“Good. You may go, Eric.” His reflection in the window showed him bow, one arm crossed before him as he did, and turn to leave. She heard the door close and lock before she looked away from the window again.
“If Christine got what we needed out of that politician, then we should be set to finally start this next mission,” Claire thought aloud with a sigh. She walked into her bedroom and began gathering a change of clothes from a large wardrobe. She decided on a long, navy dress with a split running high up her thigh, and a pair of black pumps to replace her ‘casual’ black cocktail dress and lower heels. “But if she didn’t get everything…. Christine’s usually good at making sure she gets what she needs, so we should be fine…”
She turned to the mirror and took a good look at herself, teasing her hair a little but leaving it down in the end. When she was satisfied with how she looked, she added a final accessory: a black garter on each leg and a pistol slid between the black lace and her skin. The slit on the dress kept the pistol outlines from showing to the untrained eyes, yet was low enough to keep the garters from showing as well. She finished changing seconds before a cell phone rang from her nightstand, the name and number both private. She answered with a quick, “Claire,” before another woman’s voice replied.
“You know where I like to eat dinner?” the other female asked with a tired tone.
“Downstairs?” Claire replied, knowing even as she asked that she was correct.
“Two,” the woman called out of nowhere before hanging up. Claire lowered her phone and tossed it into a small handbag, checking her reflection one last time before leaving the room and the apartment all together.
Their conversation would have seemed odd to any sort of fly on the wall, but both women knew exactly what had been agreed upon. Cryptic conversations and secrets were, after all, what members of the Illuminati did best.

Re: The Secret World
By the time Claire got downstairs, the people on the street had drastically changed from the crowd she had been watching before. She opened an umbrella as soon as the doorman opened the door, stepping out into the wet streets of the city. She could have called for a car, but she preferred to walk tonight. There was a lot going on, and she could use the walk to settle her thoughts a little. She passed a couple making out on the street corner, the smell of alcohol practically a perfume cloud hovering over the two. Neither even noticed that she walked by. Claire simply rolled her eyes and continued on, turning only once since she initially left her apartment. She turned and took a small flight of stairs down into an obviously expensive restaurant, leaving her umbrella and the jacket she had grabbed last minute at the door.
"May I help you, ma'am?" the man at the door asked as he returned from taking her things.
"I have a reservation with Christina Delaney," Claire replied in a rather bored tone, searching for Christine herself while the man checked his table records.
"Ah, yes. If you'll follow me please." He led her straight to the table, which was seated in the very back corner of the restaurant and as far away from any other visitors. A woman in a floor-length strapless black dress sat with a wine glass in hand, although it was still full. She smiled as Claire approached, but remained quiet until the man left them alone.
"You look lovely this evening, Claire. Have plans after this?" Christine asked with a giggle, finally taking a sip of her dark wine. Claire followed suit and took a small sip as well before answering, mentally mapping out how this conversation should go.
"Eric said you wished to talk to me, Christine. I assume it's about your latest mission. Am I correct?" she asked, her tone still quieter and almost uninterested. Christine frowned playfully, but nodded. She had had quite a bit to drink already tonight, and it was starting to show.
"Of course it is. I found out the name of our best lead so far, and another local Templar location as well. Here's both," Christine said while digging through her small handbag. She pulled a twice folded piece of paper out from it and slid it across the table, making sure to keep her fingertips on it until Claire took it herself. Claire didn't open it, but instead slid it in her handbag immediately. The two women stayed just long enough to make it look like a meeting between two friends, and then left in separate directions.
"I need to see what Alexander can tell me about this lead... He should have received my message by now. Hopefully he'll be able to tell me more about all of this..."

Haine: { he manaaged to clean himself up as he dropps off his equipment at his place of residence and he dresses into the clothes in his app pic with the hood up and his pistol holstered and keeps walking through the city as he end up passing claire on the streets not even saying a single word which is surprising for someone in the same type of organization in truth Haine hadn't seen alot of her to begin with the only thing that gave her away was the gun concealed but to the trained eyed straped to her leg besides he was usually placed on missions when she was off and in the city and he never had interest to meet others unless he was introduced to other members as he walks past her its almost chilly around the area as if some sort of vibe was emanating from Haine though he continues to walk on ahead} I suppose it isnt strange for someone to be out this late enjoying the night life...it doesnt matter I have nothing to do know except wait for my next mission

Re: The Secret World
"That's twice I've seen him out tonight. I wonder what has him so busy..." Claire thought as the shiver that had overcome her as Haine passed worked it's way down her shoulders. "Perhaps that's another question for Alexander. It's not like it matters, really, but when I saw him earlier..." She let that thought trail off as she arrived at the alleyway leading to their underground base. As she slowed to a stop, she checked the surroundings; No one was around to see her. Perfect. She slipped into the shadows, using her abilities to pull a curtain of shadow around her in case someone happened to come along before she could get the secret door opened and closed behind her again.
Once inside, Claire dropped the curtain and abandoned her umbrella once more. She followed a series of hallways and staircases in their base, speaking only when spoken to and never once stopping more than a split second as she worked her way to Alexander's personal quarters. When she reached her destination, she knocked five times in a specific pattern to let him know who it was. A few seconds passed, but finally the door opened. A man around her own height answered, a grin wide on his lips.
"Good evening, Ms. Claire. Please come in," he called as he stepped out of the doorway. "How can I help you tonight?"

The Discovery was an oil tanker sailing down the Hudson river, it was raining hard yet it still sailed, upon arriving under the George Washington bridge a figure wearing a hooded cloak jumped from the bridge on to the taker, as the figure assessed its surroundings a crew member saw it, "Freeze! Hands behind your head now!" said the crewman as held an automatic rifle, there was more to this tanker than it seems, as the armed crewman approached him the hooded figure drew a dagger, the crewman tried to fire his weapon only to realize his hand hand been cut off, "MY HAND!" crewman howled in pain, the figure then quickly severed his head from his body, the body fell down limp and the head simply rolled away, he picked up the crewman's weapon and headed inside the tanker...
"we're just about nearing the location sir" said the helmsman as he steered the ship, the captain wore a USMC uniform along with other personnel in the bridge, "alright, stay sharp, no telling what might happen in this rain" said the captain as sighed, he wanted to go on leave to see his family but apparently the brass just had to ask him to watch after some "package" on board the ship, they were to transport it to NYNSY, "damn rain" thought the captain, little did he know that the rain would be the least of his concerns as he failed to hear the sound of rotors...
three Ka-60 Kasatka helicopters approached the tanker, the rain muffled the sound of their rotors and allowed them to drop off their cargo; armed men, the men infiltrated the tanker killing anybody who got in their way without raising any alarms, moments later they stormed the holds and found what they were looking for, a large object shaped like a bullet...
he lay there dying, "maria, I'm so sorry..." said the captain as he clutched a picture of his wife, he was bleeding, shot multiple times in the chest, he witnessed as the unknown men blow a hole on the center of the tanker and take the "package" via helicopter...
The hooded figure from earlier sat in one of the helicopters, he felt a sense of accomplishment for what he had done, yet he didn't show it, for who knows what might happen next, after all, the Dragon's themselves aren't known for being predictable...

Re: The Secret World
"I need your help with something," Claire replied, holding up the folded piece of paper in between her index and middle fingers. Alexander took the paper with a grin, extending his arm as he stepped back to invite her in. Once inside, the door firmly closed and locked behind them, Alexander sat down at a large oak desk and unfolded the paper.
"It should be the next name in the chain I need. I was hoping you would be able to find out where said name is located for me," Claire continued as she took a seat across from him, crossing her left leg over her right. "The second thing written down should be a hidden Templar location close by. It was a bonus from my informant, but I thought you would like it in return for my favor."
"How kind of you," Alexander said as he began typing into the large screened computer beside him. Some of his search reflected in his small glasses, but nothing that Claire could read, or understand. "As a matter of fact, my group did just finish up a mission earlier today and I had them all on standby until something else came up. This will save me from having to find anything else for them for now, which saves me a little time."
They fell silent for another ten or so minutes, but ultimately Alexander sat back in his chair, a satisfied smirk on his lips, and looked to Claire. "I found what you need, but this is getting a little..." He searched for the word a moment. "Dangerous, Claire. You may want to take some sort of help, or backup, on this one. He's heavily guarded, this one."
"I don't need any backup, Alexander. I can handle this on my own, I assure you," she replied, a frown leaking onto her lips. This was her personal mission, and she wasn't going to risk letting anyone mess it up. Besides, she didn't need any form of backup. She could handle herself.
"Seriously, Claire, from what I can see here, this one's cautious. Very cautious. Almost paranoid, if I do say so myself. You must be getting very close to finding your final target. I'll tell you what. If you want this information, go on a small mission with one of my finest pupils, yourself excluded of course. If you find you work well enough together to have him at your back for this, then fine. If not, at least I warned you. Deal?" Claire sat silent this time, her expression giving away none of her thoughts. She ultimately looked away, disappointment clear on her face.
"You won't give me anything unless I do, so fine. I'll do it," she replied softly, although there was an edge of anger trimming her voice.
Alexander nodded in reply and hit a small button on the desk, calling into a speaker above it, "Phantom, I have a new mission for you. Report to my office for briefing."

Re: The Secret World
Claire watched as the man entered the room. She had already seen him twice today, once where he had appeared to be a mess carrying a weapon in plain sight throughout the city. She knew of his reputation, of course, but even that had been a stretch that she had hoped she had made up, since her apartment was quite a few stories up the building. If he really was as dangerous as she had heard, however, why would Alexander want her to try working with him on such an important mission? It seemed almost counterproductive.
“Thank you for joining us at so late an hour. I know I told you that you were done for now, but it appears some new information has come my way on another Templar base that I feel might have some useful resources. I simply want you and Claire here to infiltrate them and acquire a few items for me. Kill anyone that gets in your way, naturally, but try not to cause a scene unless you need to. This is primarily a stealth mission. Understand?” Alexander asked, his eyes never once leaving Haine.
“Now I get why he’s doing this… He’s showing me that this guy can be as stealthy as I need him to be if I decide to take him with me. I doubt that I will regardless, but at least now I understand Alexander’s madness…” Claire thought to herself, a frown still sitting on her lips.
"You'll start this mission tomorrow evening, but I thought I would go ahead and give you two the briefing now and allow you some time to come up with and discuss a plan of action for tomorrow. So, with that said, here's the location and a list of the supplies you're to seek out and retrieve," Alexander said as he handed both of them a printed piece of paper, both of which were folded tightly. "Now, I have some things to tend to before I can go to bed, so if you'll excuse me..." He stood and walked around the desk to offer Claire a hand, which she took. Once she was standing, Alexander led both her and Haine to the door. "I suggest you figure out a plan tonight so that you can get your provisions together tomorrow, but that's just my suggestion. Have a good night, you two." And with that, he closed the door behind them, the audible sound of several locks echoing out into the hallway.

Haine: You know I work better alone( is what he thought but decided not to protest and after Alexander leaves the two he means against the wall and crosses his arms and after a few moments of silence)...how are you with a gun ( he removes his hood)...also we don't need any heavy fire power but how do you think we should go about this? Of course what exactly is he after to begin with?

Re: The Secret World
"How good are you with a gun?" Claire thought to herself, somewhat mocking him in return for the question. "I'm better with a gun than most people around here are at espionage and extortion. I may not go on missions quite like you do, but don't let that fool you into thinking that I need any sort of protection or backup. Alexander only assigned me to this mission as a sort of payment..." she replied flatly, leaning against the wall opposite him in a manner than flared the split of her dress enough to reveal the garter and the grip of the pistol just in case he didn't take her words as seriously as he should. She kept her gaze on Haine, but opened her slip of paper and briefly scanned over it before she spoke again.
"It looks like it's a typical data retrieval mission, so no, we won't need anything heavy. A few silenced weapons just in case, and nothing we can't easily carry on our person while sneaking through the facility."

Re: The Secret World
Haine:( he doesn't make any note of her tone or the gun) I never said anything about you needing protection I simply asked how well you can handle that weapon ( he closes his eyes) I'm getting tired of watching people die so just simple data retrieval should be simple enough I guess Alexander doesn't believe on getting blue prints of the base but I guess that was too much to expect ( he get up off the wall) it doesn't matter why you were placed on this mission I never asked that anyway...( he gets off the wall) is there a particular meeting time you have in mind?

Re: The Secret World
"He already has the blueprints, of that I'm sure," Claire replied as she stood straight again as well. "He just didn't give them to us because he has a hidden purpose behind this mission, as usual."
"A tad touchy, this one... I thought I had Alexander's purpose behind this figured out, but as usual, I'm beginning to think that I have no earthly idea. He knows I don't like partners on my own personal missions for one, and he also knows I don't like dealing with people who react so easily... Why the hell did he force me into a mission like this?..."
After appearing to think on it a moment, Claire finally replied, "Seven pm tomorrow evening. That gives us enough time to get suited up and there before the sun sets. Once there, we can scope out the perimeters and finalize our plan before midnight, when we should most likely strike." She began writing on her piece of paper with a pen that she had swiped from Alexander's desk for this exact purpose.
"Meet me at my apartment a little before seven," she said, handing him her folded piece of paper. "The address and room number are inside. Any questions, or should we call it a night?"
