Knights in the nightmare

the castle of Aventheim sat on a cliff overlooking the sea from the isle of Celestia, it is castle of king Wilmgard who leads the knight kingdom, for years the knight kingdom has been at war with the Tiamat, a tribe of half dragons who inhabit the eastern shore of the Isle, however, an arranged marriage between the two finally gave an opportunity for peace, the cardinal of the kingdom ordered a tower built to commemorate the event, but the tower incurred the wrath of the heavens and was struck with lightning, believing that this was a sign that the union was not meant to be the cardinal told the king to stop the union, however he did not listen, days later the land was now overrun with monsters and demon's, and with the king's death and the loss of many knights all seemed lost....

but within the forest lies an abandoned church, and within it a wisp appeared, it could not remember anything and yet it felt drawn to the castle, its very presence attracted both demon's and the souls of the fallen knights...

Bio: The Knight-Daughter of the Tiamat Ruler and leader of the Tiamat Royal Guard unit that was sent by her father to King Wilmgard as a gesture of good faith and peace and helped to defend the Human King when the land was overrun by monsters & Demons. She died protecting her men from a trap set by the Demons. Her Special item(and weapon) is the Dragon King Greataxe, a weapon passed down her family line that's said to have been made from the bones of the Tiamat's ancestors and to still contain their power. It reminds Tallia that she is not just a Knight, but heir to the Tiamat throne.

Bio: Sometimes referred to as 'the Blue Rose' from her fondness of wearing/using the flower and its petals both in and out of battle, Loretta was Leader of one of the King's strike squads, known for their ability to successfully execute Hit & Run and Rush-down tactics in the face of overwhelming odds. Though exceptionally fast and agile, Loretta's death came at the hands of Demon whose hide proved to be much harder then her battle-worn blade and proved to be a bit quicker then first believed. Her special item is her eyepatch, made and given to her by her younger brother that was forced to leave the Knights due to a serious injury. It, along with the roses, reminds her of the flower fields near her home and her family that still lives there.

App: A man with odd, green hair that seems to be natural. He stands about five feet, nine inches. He wears a green vest with a white shirt and brown pants.

Bio: Zorlo was a famous sword fighter known for his talents in one on one duels. When he was slain by a demon during an initial attack, he awoke holding his rapier and feeling the flow of the world. The world felt different somehow, but the sword reminded him of a purpose. He had to fight... if he were to restore the world... or at least prevent it from becoming worse.

Bio: A skilled hunter prior to the demonic and monster invasion, he made his name by striking down many Tiamat without any kind of regard for them. His talents with a bow are second to none, but his skills with a sword aren't too shabby either. He awakened to find a cross he had been given at one point, and it seemed to guide his feet. He's not entirely sure what to do at the moment, but he knows that returning things to as they were or trying to is a bad decision.

bio: Alive Joshua was a priest in a small village Joshua was Kind caring he was engaged to a young woman by the name of Maria they were happy you could say that for Joshua it was surprising because before he had met the woman by the name of Maria he used to be a Mercenary for the knight kingdom and was Knighted at 17 years old due his expert swordsmanship and leadership though soon after wards Joshua had strayed from the path of a knight to settle down and live peaceful life without all the violence and blood shed so as a Anniversary present Maria had given Joshua a Silver Cross as a remainder of Joshua's faith and their love for each other. Soon after though tragedy struck and the village was overrun by demons Joshua tried to pick a blade to defend the villagers Maria had stopped him Joshua had vowed to never weild a sword again because she knew if he had drawn his sword he would of ceased being the man she knew and loved so they ran unfortunately the demons caught up with them as Joshua tried to protect her and the fleeing villagers he simply didnt have the power to stop them as he lied their broken and bloody on the brink of death he heard the screams of those he tried to protect he was forced to watch the horrific scene play out before him and as his wife maria protected him one last time she was then killed joshua had cursed god " why?....why would you let this happen?...WHY?!...why wouldnt you protect them!..Damn..you...Damn you to hell"..as the demons slowly closed in on Joshua a power surged through his body " I'll kill you.....I'lll kill every single one of you....I'll make you all pay...I'll will" as he slowly gripped one of the fallen villagers swords joshua once a man of LAW. changed into a main of Chaos " i'm going......I'm going...... I'm going to slaughter every single one of you!!!" Joshua rushed towards his enemy as he cut the demons down one by one with pure anger the battle lasted until sunrise as Joshua cut down the last demon he crumbled to his knees from the wounds inflicted upon him and with his very last breath he apologized to maria for breaking his promise for he had weilded a blade for violence he asked for her forgiveness as he gave up his last breath now his soul lingers the world for all he has is the silver cross that helps remind him of who he once was now a spirit Joshua can be a man of few words but will talk with a formal polite manner and will allways adress those respectfully

Bio: A smile is almost permanently plastered on the small man's face, but it's at it's widest when the weather is at it's worst. What Vance lacks in height he makes up for in magical might, tenacity, and blind courage, or it might simply be that he's insane. He was struck by lightning as a child and became enamored with storms; he found he had an aptitude for magic, weather magic in particular. Vance tended to follow the storms and they brought him into the Tiamatian lands. He made several unlikely friends there and found himself at the tower when it was struck and may or may not have been the cause of the lightning bolt. When the demons showed up he unleashed a storm of biblical proportions to protect a town. Whenever demons threaten the town the storm surges back into existence to strike them down with hail, lightning, and tornadoes but the town itself remains unharmed. However, every mage has his limits and to go past them is both painful and dangerous, not that that ever stopped Vance from pushing himself past them before, but in this case the magic burn was lethal for the little wizard. A dagger made from dragon bone called Kirith's Fang was given to him by his friend Krusha, a Tiamat woman from the town he died protecting.

bio: Originally living a pious life, Wernhardt's duties as a priest were well performed and greatly valued within his community; he not only took the thursday services, but also performed many of the remedial tasks such as cooking for his 'brothers', helping the sick and the wounded, and cleaning the floors of the church. It would then seem to be a mystery as to why he died in the way he did, and how he became what he became... this is hardly the case;
One night, while cleaning out the washrooms, Wernhardt encountered a rogue spirit, and -treating it with respect- was quickly assailed for entering the spirit's personal space. His body was ravaged and torn to shreds, and his mind was devoured by the spirit who had killed him. Of course, the spirit was a weak one with a weak conscience, and as soon as Wernhardt had been devoured by it, he became the dominant mind. Unable to live with what he -as the spirit- had done, began to panic and fled the church, promptly being cast down to purgatory by those whom he had once so diligently sought to worship as a result of this, though this was not his only punishment; he was once again brought into the world via attempt to evade a repentance he thought that he did not deserve, though this time as a cursed being formed exclusively of negative energy, forever doomed to solitude and undeath, harbouring a great hatred for all that existed around him with an intent to kill and maim anything that dare drew breath within his sight.
His item is a pile of clothes; a faded cloak and a pair of faded trousers, both originally coloured Prussian Blue. The set was forged of the last clothes he had before originally joining his monastery.

the hermit looked up and saw... Sunlight, "oww..." she muttered, she then got up and looked around, she then noticed they were in a church and saw other knights, all were lying down on the floor, lying down but not dead, she then sensed a presence and looked around, she then saw a glowing white sphere, she then drew one of her daggers and prepared to throw it at the sphere until a voice cried out "dont!", she turned around and saw a lance knight, she was certainly female but she wore armour too large for her but she could apparently move well in it, "I dont think it wants to hurt us" said the lance knight, "and how can you be sure of that?" asked the hermit, "when I first woke up it gave me this" replied the lance knight as she showed the hermit a topaz, "my father gave this to me when I was little, I'm Gudrun" she added,"I..." she then realized that she couldnt remember her name, then as if on cue the shining sphere flew towards her and dropped something in front of her, "theater tickets?" she wondered, she picked them up and it read "I want to be your canary" she then thought "I wonder if I could still catch it?" she thought, she suddenly remembered, "I'm Aida, Aida von stauffenberg" she replied "now that that is settled, maybe we should wait for the other knights, got any cheese?" asked Gudrun.

"my prince with all due respect I think the real threat here are the demons" said the knight, "and how with all due respect do you intend for me to deal with them when the kingdom is on the brink of civil
war no thanks to those old fogeys who say I am unfit to lead, old bastards" he muttered, ever since the demons came, prince nordich attempted to take the throne but now besides the demons the kingdom is on the brink of civil war.....

The small man suddenly bolted up to his feet, patting himself all over, and looking at the sole of his shoe. "Something's missing." He said, hopping in a circle on one leg while still holding the other. Vance hopped over to the other two conscious people, "Hi there," he said cheerfully, "do you know what's gone? Or was it ever there to begin with? Is there in fact something there that wasn't there before?" He wasted no time letting them answer and instead let go of his leg and hopped up onto a pew to get a better look at the white light. "Aren't you a lovely little firefly, wait no fire yes fly yes, but not a bug." The light produced a Tiamation dragon bone dagger. "What are you doing with that? That's Krusha's knife. Unless you're, no she can't be dead, I made sure of that. But I could be, nay must be, why else would I have what I do?" He rolled off the pew, picked up his staff, and sheathed Kirith's Fang. The storm mage spun around to get some wind rushing past his ears before he very dizzily fell into a seat laughing. "So, my whispy friend shall I call for weather most fun and foul or flat and fair?" Thunder rattled the windows, most odd given how bright the light pouring in was, and Vance finally took a breath.

A short distance from the others, the sound of stone cracking split the air as the Wisp dropped a massive, heavy Greataxe next to a Tiamat woman that was getting up from her knees stiffly. Though the Greataxe was stuck in the floor, she easily yanked it out and hefted it like a handaxe. "This is...?!" She looked momentarily relieved, though she didn't smile. "That's right... I was protecting my Men... But," she looked around, seeing none of them anywhere. "Did they all died then...? Or am I the one dead here...?" she asked noticing her numerous wounds were gone.

"I...I think we're the ones dead..." Said a Raven-haired human woman in white near her that had already gotten to her feet. She had a massive scar across her right eye and in her left hand, she held a rose. "I can remember that much, at least, but.... something's missing, I can't remember anything else..." she said, holding her head with her other hands. As if on cue, a black Eyepatch dropped to the floor in front of her from the Wisp. "My Eyepatch! I can't believe I lost you!" she said as she immediately caught hold of it and put it on over her scarred over eye, feeling like herself again. ""Yeah, I died, ordering my troops to retreat...." She looked back to the Tiamat Warrior. "I'm Loretta Rose."

The Tiamat chuckled. "I think I've heard of you. I'm Tallia. Tallia Kellisendros," Tallia replied. "Nice to meet you, 'Blue Rose'."

Monroe sat quietly at the edge of the forest he had been killed at. His sword and bow sat on a rock behind him. The man sighed as he walked over and placed the sheathed sword at his side and lifted up the bow. The bow folded inwards and he placed it on a holder along his back, just above his quiver. "TIme to go hunting," he stated blandly as he started walking. There was apt to be a battle elsewhere, and wherever that was would surely be exciting.

A light click echoed as Zorlo sat up. He looked around before yawning. "That was a great sleep," he stated as he stood up and looked at the rapier in the ground. "Oh, my sword! Hooray!" he said, jumping up and pumping his fist as he drew it. "Thankfully, you're unscuffed. Good to see!" the duelist said as he sheathed his sword and looked around. "Where the sod am I?" he asked, yawning again. "Better question, where's the church. I remember having to stab someone... but I forget who," the man said as he started walking. "OR was it I wanted to become a Pardoner... i don't remember."

Vance spun his staff overhead with his feet. "Yep, dead dead dead. We're all dead." He caught it between his ankles and pointed at the will-o-wisp, "But none of us more than that guy. Stabber, pardoner, not much difference." He kicked the staff skyward, hopped up onto his feet and sat on the back of the pew, caught the staff, rested it across his shoulders, and grinned at Talia. "He probably had quite the traumatic end and/or he was a very strong willed man if he was able to pull the body and soul of someone like you all the way here. Asssuming this is the approximate state we all died in, I think we've all been dead for a very short time, if any time at all. Not sure if I'm disappointed by that or not. I hope Krusha and everyone else is safe. Tal, did you happen to hear anything about Crystal Ridge before you died? There were some demons attacking it."

"Dead?" wondered Aida, she then checked herself and found no wounds, she touched her cheek and it felt warm, "only one way to find out" she muttered then looked at a certain someone.....

"cheese..." mumbled Gudrun as she gladly ate some cheese she found in her satchel, she didnt care if she was dead, as long as she could still eat cheese, suddenly the hermit came up to her and did something she will never be able to forget.... She kissed Gudrun on the Lips, and even stuck her tongue in her mouth, she then took her face away from Gudrun as she fainted, "blech, tasted like cheese, well thats proof enough" muttered Aida as she looked at the dazed Gudrun lying on the ground.

Zorlo had opened the door just in time to see the two women kissing before he paused, stepped back to look at the exterior of the building, and then stepped back in. "Okay... is this a brothel or a church, that's kind of an important detail in my case," Zorlo said as he looked at the fainted knight. "And why is that girl wearing armor CLEARLY too large for her? I wasn't even aware they had begun letting women be lance knights," he said, scratching the back of his head. "Anyway, have any of you seen the archbishop that was here... I have something I wanted to do... but I'm drawing a blank on what exactly it was. I get the feeling when I find that person, I'll find my answer."

Monroe stood atop a large tree, looking down at the church, but remaining quiet. The people in there were none of his business... except the Tiamat. He could smell the smell of a Tiamat... but how? He'd not been able to do that before he died. Perhaps this was an advantage of being dead? He wasn't quite sure anymore. All he knew is that there was a target in that building, and needless murder of others MIGHT be necessary to succeed. "Such misfortune. But don't blame me... blame God," he muttered to himself as he removed his bow from behind his back as it unfolded and he notched an arrow. The archer became quiet and simply watched. He would try to do this WITHOUT killing everyone inside.

Tallia laughed at the kiss and Zorlo's reaction as she rested the huge Greataxe on her shoulder. "It's a church. That much I can tell you," she replied to Zorlo before looking back to Vance. She could tell that she might just like these Humans. "To answer your question, no. Unfortunately, my troops and I were ambushed on our way there. Since my troops aren't here, can only assume that they made it thanks to my inadvertant sacrifice," she replied to him with a sigh, remembering her final moments. The Demons had seemed endless and even as her vision faded, she'd still been heavily surrounded.

Joshua: { he arrives inside of the church as he looks at his hands}.....were all dead huh? { he gives a respectful bow} so...how did we get here exactly?

"dear mother in heaven, my first kiss was from a girl, forgive me" prayed Gudrun as she slowly got up, Aida then looked at the newcomer and was about to ask him questions when the wisp suddenly began flying in patterns, its using its trail of light to write on the air,"aventheim" it wrote, "aventheim? But the castle has already been overrun by demons and monsters! What could this thing possibly want there?!" she thought.

the armoured maiden continued to walk through the forest, hoping to find the wisp, she then looked up and saw the sun still shining, "good to know its still day" she said to herself, she had to hurry.

"have you heard? They said that something was stolen from fort drakon!" whispered the villager,"fort drakon? Isnt that where prince nordich and his followers are amassing?" replied the other villager, "but no one knows what was stolen, probably some weapon" answered another villager in the group, despite the loss of the king and castle aventheim life was still normal in some parts, parts protected by either loyalists to the king or nordich's.

So help was coming. That's reassuring. "As they say, no news is good news. So thanks." Vance tossed his staff from hand to hand and answered Joshua's question, "It's all very technical, but the important thing is the will-o-wisp played a part in dragging you back here because he wanted us for something. Your first kiss was from a girl! HahahahaOW!" He fell backwards into the pew as he laughed at Gudrun, his legs flailed overhead as he continued laughing. "Heheh, look on the bright side. At least it wasn't with a fish." His legs finally followed the rest of him down into the pew, "We're all already dead, right? Let's go kill us some demons." Vance got up and rested his forearms on the back of the pew, "What's the worst that can happen?" He said grinning.

"Our souls could be torn apart and we could cease to exist at all," Loretta replied calmly as she checked her blade, slightly surprised to find it whole and undamaged again after watching it shatter. She sheathed it again, satisfied by what she saw. "Or, I could be wrong and we'll simple be revived again by our wispy savior here. Who knows? But I'm game to go fight If it wants us to. After all, we do kinda owe it that much."

"You've got a point there, Loretta," Tallia said as she 'read' what the Wisp had to say. "Aventheim Castle, huh? Sounds fun," the Tiamat said as she walked outside. "I can't order any of you to go, but I can't think of a reason we shouldn't go with it, y'know?"

"Wait up." Vance climbed over the pew and hurried after Tallia. "Krusha would kill me if she found out I got the chance to help you murder things and stuff and didn't get on board. By the by, I'm Vance." The winds picked up at his name, almost as if the winds themselves were excited about him being there. "I'm a storm wizard." He grinned up at the forest cover, beyond it storm clouds were starting to form.
