OBJECTION!!! The trial begins now. This is a Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney RP. I'd like to kick this off, but first let me lay down the "law" per-say.

RULES:
- No acting outside of the limits of your character (I.E. A prosecutor cannot perform a cross-examination, Defense Attorneys can't forge evidence, so on and so on...) Said rules about each role will be detailed in character creation section

- Keep the dialogue friendly for the most part (unless playing as Von Karma...)

- Storyline characters (I.E. Phoenix, Edgeworth, Von Karma, The Judge etc...) cannot act outside of their character. If you think your character would not act in a certain way, then don't do it.

- Please try your best to post as detailed as possible, and no short-posting

Okay, on to the story...

December 12, 2028: Von Karma Released!
Phoenix Wright his been re-instated as a defense attorney once again and has continued his line of successful defenses along with his protoge Apollo Justice. Things have been going well for the two lawyers, until just recently. News has recently been passed that Manfred Von Karma has been released from prison, due to some unknown circumstances. Miles Edgeworth has contacted Phoenix claiming his life is in jeopardy. Phoenix is unsure what to do until another mysterious individual enters the office. Trucy Wright claims that the person is capable of handling the protection of Edgeworth until they can determine what Von Karma is up to.

April 20, 2029 Enter Armon Giden
Rumor has it that several cases have been blown away by a new prosecutor by the name of Armon Giden. Claiming that that justice has been broken in the courtroom over the last few years, he states that he will restore the title of prosecutor to it's former glory. However, not is all as it seems. Von Karma has been seen at the side of Mr. Giden and the idea is that this new prosecutor has been trained by Von Karma himself. With the prosecution's office in an uproar and the Criminal Offices unsure of the new "advent of justice", crime has soared to an all-time high. Murders have gone unanswered, and Phoenix is determined to uncover the cause of this chaos. Enter the players. Take command of any side of justice and fight to prove that your side is what makes WRIGHT!

Character Section

Characters come in one of two forms. Story characters and created characters. The story characters are the characters that are prior established and will be taking command of the main flow of the story. Created characters are newcomers and/or criminals, defendants, witnesses, and others that will make the case what it is.

Roles: States the basic goal and abilities of each member of the court
- Defense Attorney: The defense of the court, those who fight to get the defendant not-guilty by cross-examining witnesses and presenting evidence to prove their client's innocence.

- Prosecutor: The ones in charge of the "attack" of the courthouse. They are the opposite of defense attorneys, and have the law on their side.

- Investigator: The bread and butter of the case. These individuals are the ones in charge of the investigation of the crime. Compiling the evidence and making the case fall on their shoulders.

- Witness: The witness of a crime, or possibly just a person the prosecution called in to cover up a case. Whatever the reason, the goal of a witness is to tell the court what they "saw" in an attempt to either assist the prosecution (usually), or the defense (not likely) with winning the case.

Criminal: A flagrant breaker of laws. The objective of a criminal is to commit the crime without getting caught; by any means necessary, Plain and simple.

Accused: Different from a criminal, in the fact that this particular role is accused of a crime, but is actually innocent or otherwise not deserving of the verdict the court wants on them. Both the "Accused" and criminals can be defendants in a case, but only the accused are truly innocent. Phoenix will only take "accused" as clients.

Sounds like fun to me, I'll take Phoenix to get things moving if no one else makes a move for the Defense, and Maya otherwise. If that's alright?

I will play :P. After all, we need lawyers, rite?

Name: Tyrus Britesaber
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Role: Prosecutor/ Deffense Attorney. He can do either, depending on the circumstances.
Personality: Outside court, he is always positive and is usually seen with a smile on his face. However, in the middle of a case, he turns into an almost demonic being, well known for his unrelenting assaults on his opposition.
Bio: Tyrus is a Lawyer from Middle-England. He has had extensive training in Barristry (if it's not a word, it is now >.>), and has an amazing record at the Old Bailey. His natural talent in the realm of law was apparent, even from a young age. One incident in which he displayed his talent was during his 5th year of junior school, in which he single-handedly exposed one of his teachers as a child molester, even though the evidence he had was only minimal. people often refer to him as 'the bright saber', mostly because of his surname, but also due to the fact that his Prosecutions are like a swift striking saber. It's said that if just one of his 'hits' manages to connect, then you know that you've lost the case. He is often accompanied by a young boy named Samuel, who was taken in by Tyrus for his amazing skills at finding evidence
Appearance: Image
Special Talents: Tyrus has the ability to pick out the difference in vocal tones when listening to Witness statements, defense statements by the accused and the criminal, and even the defense attorney. By using this skill, he can easily tell if someone is faking it, no matter who they are or what position they have in the court standing.

You'll need to choose, so if when another player comes in, they'll have a better idea of what to do. I'll post a filled role list afterwards

Since I'm a criminal do I have to make up the facts about my evils or do you handle that with my lil fodder?
Also if I'm convicted what do I do? I'll play multiple roles(as I always do)

As a criminal, your job usually isn't to develop the facts of what you did and how you did it. You yourself know the circumstances of the crime, but it's the investigative team that comes up with the case, (which includes the prosecution). In the world of Phoenix Wright, it's not uncommon for the prosecution to cover up facts to get a guilty verdict (depending on the prosecutor of course), but in the case of a defendant that IS indeed guilty, it would take a crafty (and inherently evil) defense lawyer to do that kind of work.

This might shape up to be an interesting first case...

I think I'll fill out the role of the prosecutor. For some reason, I think it would be the best option to start off with.

(I love phoenix wright!!! Mind if I join? I want to play a Prosecutor. Is this character ok?)

Name: Zeresh Seidelman
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Role: Prosecutor
Personality: Zeresh will use anyone and anything to get the verdict he wants. He has been known to forge evidence numerous times during his trials but it has never been proven. Zeresh puts out a kind personality but uses it to hide a cruel true personality. He protects those he cares about but those people are very few.
Bio: Admitted to the prosecutor's office at at the age of 14. His father is the legendary Defense Attorney James Seidelman the "Striking Thunder". Named this way because he like Phoenix could always bring a trial to a quick innocent verdict. James is unsure as to why his son joined the Prosecutor's office. After all he was always such a positive role-model for his son. Or so he thought. For some reason Zeresh greatly hates the legendary Defense Attorney Phoenix Wright. Perhaps the two have a history.
Appearance: http://media.photobucket.com/image/anim ... s/guys.jpg
Special Talents:

Magatama of Darkness: James wears a Magatama much like Maya or Pearl does but his is black and has a red glow to it. This magatama gives James the Ability to see when people are telling the truth and using the Magatama's Dark Influence gives him the chance to turn that truth into a lie. James's Magatama actually puts the psych Locks on people and traps the truth even further than it already is. James can put up to five locks on a person at one time. However doing so makes him very weak and he has to rest for three hours before he is able to use the ability again. This Magatama was acquired when he payed a visit to a channeling temple similar to the one Pearl and Maya are from. A woman looking alot like Dahlia hawthorne gave it to him as a child and told him it would one day come in handy. Being able to use the magatama in the way he can suggests Zeresh has potential for great spiritual power. He does and is learning to tap into them.

Alright Cool. I'll go ahead and post the introduction to the case now. But first, the role sheet.

Defendant: Lucius Daniels (Criminal) Crime: Armed Robbery and Arson. (Played by Haseo {Terror of Death})
Prosecution: Tyrius Britesaber (Played by NK)
Head Investigator: Dick Gumshoe (Space reserved, but until they join, I'll be controlling him)
Investigative Team: Anzai Kuniumi (Played by Anzai Kuniumi)
Head of Case: Zeresh Seidelman ((Current involvement unknown, Azalan PM me about this)), (Played by Azalan)
Defense: None as of yet (Implosion, you're welcome to play Phoenix at this point, but the space is still open)
Judge: The Judge (played by me)

Something I'd like to try is to use the "Jurist system" Apollo Justice, by posting a thread in the gaming section at the end of each case, to determine whether the regular members of the board will declare the defendant guilty or innocent. It's just a thought, but I'd like your feedback on it.

((Edit to start the game))

April 15 2029
District Courthouse
Defendant Lobby No. 2

The trial of Lucius Daniels will begin in a few minutes. However, the young man has no one to defend him as of yet. The public attorney's office is not answering and the trial cannot commence without a defense attorney. Enter the lobby where Lucius is, awaiting the announcement that the trial will be suspended, offering him one more day for a chance to develop a sturdy case in his defense. The prosecution; led by Tyrius Britesaber, assumes this is just a ruse to stall for time by a defense team that does not exist. The Judge may grow weary over this development, but only time will tell. And that time is running out.
