Aura's Chains

While I was replaying infection I noticed that Aura has eight chain attached to her statue in the Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground temple. Is that supposed to be representing the eight phases?

You mean the symbol on her neck, no. When you go to delta:Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground, or what ever the area is that Blackrose takes you to, you look at the statue of a girl, Aura and you see that there are 8 chains on her. Are those chain representing the eight phases or is it just coincedence

Yes, I believe each chain represents the eight phases, and IIRC it's like each one is chaining Aura down.

Okay that makes since. When I get to the other games I will see if the data changes and chains are removed. I don't think they will but, it would be cool if they did. thank you for your insights everyone

It would have made since in IMOQ if each chain began to dissapear after Kite Data Drained the phases one by one.

In a sense it would have, but then by that logic, the statue should've also been divided into three from Mutation onward, and then vanished at the end of Quarantine. It was a static statue that wasn't intended to change; a testament to the agony of Aura.

There are still 8 chains attached to the ceiling of the cathedral one broken portion on the altar and a smaller portion of the chains near the altar. At least that's the case in G.U. games, in Roots I only took notice of the single broken chain.

I honestly was expecting at the very least the chains would vanish or be broken in IMOQ after learning of the phases and there being 8 of them, but no such luck. As for the statue being broken in pieces, perhaps two or three large fissures should have appeared after the battle with Skeith and fix it self by the time she has all three segments back and each chain vanishing with a phase so by the end of the game the statue is completely free.

Sure it would be a lot of little details, but it would be nice to see.
