Video goggles & games?

Post by Midori »

I only heard about "video goggles" today. Anyone know of goggles out there that let you play games on them? Is there a particular video goggles product with higher resolution than others? Price isn't so much an object, as quality is.

I would love to own a pair of video goggles to play games with, but if they're all going to look like the original Pac Man of Mario, in 2-D bit resolution, I'd just rather not bother.

I remember there being one that has video and audio input but I can't remember what they were called. I think there is also a pair that replaces your computer monitor, which there are ways to convert the input to AV inputs. Do some shopping around, you could probobly find some on the net otherwise check out your local audio video store.

Wouldn't it cause some major eye problems?

The closest thing I found at a glance is this:

The resolution is a little bit of an improvement but they're still working on making it more high res.

No actually most video goggles are two separate screens. One for each eye, So each eye sees one screen and creates one image.

I remember reading about these in some magazine on an airplane.

Honestly I think it'd be weird. And imagine the side effects.

www.headplay.com is a good site for a hmd. Even thought it sounds cool to have a hmd right now I would wait a year or two so the price can drop and the graphics are epic and possible other features like other sense's.
And for the question about the eye. I would also go with no, but I think there is possibility of people gatting headaches from the light in some games .
I think I saw this ony google but they have kind of discovered a new sense. I will try to find the article if i can.
