Favorite Lost Ground

Post by Wandering Light »

These areas are the part of The World that makes it so special! So vote on your fave. This should be judged on the qualities special areas posess: Layout, graphics, BGM, storyline, and overall quality. (You may vote for up to 2)

*Only the Hidden Forbidden _________ Lost Grounds were included

EDIT: Crap... I left out Hidden Forbidden Festival .. if that's your fave... sorry, lemme know.

Definitely Hulle Granz. The music is beautiful, the scenery is mystical and relaxing, and it's the one place in R:2 that has remained since R:1. (At least, what I mean by this is that it's the one place you visit in GU that you also visited in IMOQ.) It's like a bridge between the past and present.

No, it only appeared in .hack//G.U. Returner. It was festival-type Lost Ground that the characters gathered in.

I like the waterfall mainly cause it's just a cool place and the song is ok. Also it was a major area for the whole root series. Then the cathedral cause it's basically the grandest of them all. All of the things in the series always connect back with it. Another reason why I like both of them is cause In one rp I was in this was where we had two major battles and they were really good. Nobody godmodded and the action was well described so those memories really helped me.

Ok I know its from G.U. Returner but the option is in vol. 3 so it made me confused a little...

Wald Uberlisterin is a fave of mine. It has a really good atmosphere, which the BGM really adds to.
Other favorite is Hulle Granz, of course; basically for all the same reasons previously listed. Really helps to have that nostalgia from the previous games.

Man, I really just love them all! I wish a lot of them were bigger, though... Y'know, more to explore, add in some extra stuff you can do there... Quite a few of them need those extra places to explore in my opinion to make them even better than they already are.

I hate Morrigue Barrow wall sucked in my opinion, though... but I really like Hy Brasail, the other areas need to be as or more extensive than Hy Brasail.

Is it just me or is Sugar Mansion Sif Berg - In Heat sorta...a pointless lost ground...I mean you have to go there once or twice I think and there is nothing there.

I think Megin Fi is my absolute favorite, with Dragonbein Range being my second.

That's a difficult choice because they're all so beautiful, with calming music and a bittersweet sense of abandonment. It drives me crazy looking at places that are just out of reach though, like the broken bridges at Arche Koeln and Briona Gwydion, because I can't stop imagining what could exist on the other side.

Exactly! I felt they could've done so much more with the Lost Grounds in that regard. How cool would it have been to go beyond the gate in Wald Uberlisterin, or to the other side of the broken bridge at Arche Koeln? Even Sif Berg looked like it could've had more to explore.

even tough is just a digital graphic make out of colors and digits, it still gave the calming effect.

Hulle Granz Cathedral - Holy Ground
to me it gives the i want to sit there forever with someone special, if, is an online game, with that great graphic.
the effect gave a sunset color, is so cooling (because my room is)
sometime i just on my PS2 just to visit Hulle Granz.
but other than lost ground, i often visit sunset field, but cant be there too long or the stupid dopple arrive.
