It's clearly non-canon due to what's already become vastly different.

Just watch. Somehow they are going to make haseo lose his x form and revert back to his 2nd form. It shall be canon yet.

I wouldnt put it past those guys to make this canon somehow. I mean there are inconsistencies between Roots and the GU, but those events on both sides are still considered canon (or at least thats been stated earlier) They'll just ride it off as the events from another perspective and be all like realities are congruent. That its all about how the situation is seen or some crap like that. That'd make me LAWL 4 Dayz.

I wonder if they'll mix elements from the games, GU+, and the novels together to create this story. That would be one ultraleet, noncanon presentation.
I just wish they'd release it on the big screen somewhere (begins hunting for a video projector). That would just look so bad@ss.

It CAN'T be canon. It's an alternate retelling of the games, putting it on the same line of canonicity as XXXX, GU+, the GU Novels, and so on.

It's an adaptation of G.U., so you really can't say it's cannon.

They can't.
Reason being is that he dosn't
have it yet, so he can't lose it. I'm skeptical about wether it'll even appear, since I'm seeing a focous on the new 3rd form design, and am expecting a new Xth form design, if anything for it at all.
Honestly, I'd like to see them explain Epitaphs in under 20 minutes while retaining some canon elements. They'd definatly have to rush it.

The story having changes or being totally different to the games makes it more interesting; people who've only played the G.U. games won't know what will happen.

The Trailer Shows Completely different things than the original storyline, it'll probably turn into one of those 'This is what also could have happened' sort of things.
I wouldn't consider it part of the games, just a sort of...squished together sped up plot.

As we've seen by experience, remakes such as GU+ and XXXX often have RABIDLY WARPED, shockingly different plots. Trilogy will probably be no different, and we'll be happier as a fanbase for it.

Think Cubia-PC Will be in this one?
I really hope so, but I know it won't happen! =(
Imagine a fully rendered HD version of PC Cubia! *drools*

I'd laugh if the last scene with the evil Haseo dragging himself out in the Creators Room was Cubia but I can see it happening, either that or AIDA-Haseo.
I doubt they'll do many avatar battles in this movie actually. Perhaps Azure Kite's and maybe Ovan's only.
80ish minutes...so 1:30? Credits and Opening may take 10 mins at most ( Mostly credits )
Resident Evil 3 was 1:40 mins and it wasn't that bad so they could pull off either all battles with barely any plot ( This would appeal to the people who played the game and already get whats happening ) or they'd make up a 'this could happen also if Haseo...' story plot.

I say non-cannon.
to me it looks like they are making GU+ into a movie, either way its till looks good. Also 1hr and 20 mins would be hard to make from the game.

If they do anything better than Advent Children turned out, I'll be happy.
I'm hoping for about 7 or eight battles, and the rest being storyline.
I'm definatly looking forward to it^^

I JUST said they weren't, and I know so because there are scenes that would be impossible under the circumstances of GU+. Besides, GU+ isn't even complete yet, so how can they make it into a movie?
