It was kinda dumb... Haseo spends all this time trying to get Shino back just to go after that idiot Atoli? Honestly? That was retarded... Anyone else have some input?

Well I pictured that as Haseo realizing that he has new friends now and doesn't need only his old friends from the Twilight Brigade.

I think Haseo just realized how Atoli has been with him through thick and thin. He values Atoli as much as he values Shino. So, of course when she ran out of the cathedral crying, he would want to go comfort her as a friend.

I thought the ending was nice, as it was the final stage of Haseos growth. In Volume 1, I hated Atoli because of her annoyingly squeaky voice and pacifist personality. In Volume 2, I pitied Atoli because of her sad real life issues. Finally, in Volume 3, I respected her because I, myself, realized how much she tried to make Haseo happy, and has believed and stuck with him this far.

So, in conclusion, I'm not at all sad that Haseo chased Atoli down. After awhile, Shino simply became more of a dear person in my memory then an actual friend.

Why did Shino even bother calling Atoli to come? She dident evne say Hi!. She just stood there.

I didn't much care for it either but Atoli did play a big part in helping haseo become who he is and was with him through everything. I wanted him to end up with alkaid but i knew he wouldn't even though they seemed to have alot more chemistry i think [probably filled with bias]

Ya but for jsut a casual player who didn't bother to unock the promise greeting card it seems he did with atoli.
I thought he was atleast more open with his feelings toward alkaid so he woulda gone with her in the end =/

Pretty sure canon is Atoli. Alkaid mentions that even if Haseo goes after Atoli, she'd still keep trying (not word for word, deleted my old file to start one with my perfect Vol. 2 file.).

Because even she knew Haseo was much better off with Atoli, it was her way of letting Haseo realize it.


ahaha, I knew about 90% of the fandom would "WRY ATOLI?? SHINO IS MUCH BETTER!!!" or Alkaid. wtfever. Alkaid + Haseo = no.

I personally loved the ending.

Im forced to choose Atoli for the wedding. I have to do the cannon thing. Atoli and Alkaid were the only ones i would choose.

Agreed. Shino is seconded to Atoli.

Technically when I first saw the ending I assumed Shino was just showing Atoli that Haseo would stick with her. (( Translation: Haseo is standing beside Shino the whole time through the speech )) and when she left, Shino asked if he were to make the brigade once more with her.

Now this is where Haseo got conflicted. He never gave an answer, which told Shino that he didn't wanna go back with her nor did he want to look for Ovan cause he would really want them to live their lives and blah blah.

Anyhow, she said for him to be honest.

He left.

As for marriage...

Man, It's Endrance and Bourdeaux all the way. I don't see what you guys are talking about with Atoli and Alkaid.

I suppose there is different ways of seeing the ending, I took it the way marioshinobi saw it.

Well for me, I didn't see it as Haseo choosing Atoli as much as I saw it as Haseo choosing Atoli over Shino. For me though, I see Haseo being with Alkaid just because that's pretty much what the first half of Volume 2 built up, very well IMO.

=P Never once did I like Alkaid, she ran to Haseo from Sirius because Sirius was all wacked out. If Sirius never wouldn't of been that way I think Alkaid and long neck would of ended up together, because she was secretly all infatuated with him.
As for Shino, her real life apperance and her real life showing up all suddenly scared the crap out of me.

 When she walks by saying what AIDA is.

But yeah, the ending was kinda dry, I would of laughed if they actualy had Haseo say that he loved Atoli. But thats the lovely idea of .hack//gu creators to leave it to your imagination.

It's obvious Shino has no feeling for Haseo. I think he saw that, and realized that Atoli has been there for him all along.


Also, it showed that he has taken a liking to her, earlier on in the story at the end of one of those small quests.
