I started a new gam of .hack G.U. vol2 with out carying my save data over this time and for some reason when i paused the game and checked my stats haseo had 999 def and 999 atk and 9999 HP and SP I think there is somthing wrong with my game what should i do? and before anyone asks i didn't use cheats

yes i tries but then i noticed haseo's level was maxed out everything involving his stats was maxed

Perhaps you should try what The Darkness said and start a new save file.

Just out of curiousity, do these stats actually give you any boost i attack power, or is it merely for show and you do regular damage?

Technically, with 999 ATK and DEF makes you pretty much invincible and aloows you to r*pe almost all enemies with 1single blow dude

Oh trust me, I know that. I was asking if they ACTUALLY had that stat while fighting, or it just looked like that in the status menu.

First of all, Frozen Inferno is wise to make that suggestion. See if the bug you encountered did affect the stats or just the graphics representing them.

Second, yes, make a new game and see if the same thing happens. If it doesn't, try to remember anything you might've done differently this time than when you made the perfect stat new game. More than likely it's a scratch on the disc or something stupid like that, but if it's a real bug in the game that can be reliably replicated on any disc, I'd love to know all the details.

yes the effect effected my fighting i did 9999 damage in any battle with any weapon i even tried starting a new save file even tried loading an old one nothing was the same as it was all the stats were maxed on all my characters even piros the 3rd even when i got him matsu becaust i even tried my clear data but i didn't save over any of the previous saves i want to play vol.3 fairly

for one thing thats a great bug. but I agree with you with wanting to play normally the first time. you will just have to take it back to the store and get a different one.

Based on what he said, it looks just like it was his disc seeing as it automaticly replicates itself whenever he starts a new game.

I disagree with you. I'd buy a second one, keeping the first one to examine and see what is wrong with it. And to see if when you transfer data to Volume three if it keeps the stats or if there is a patch in the 3rd volume to revert it.

Well, Jack, you said you don't use cheats, but is it possible someone else used a max stat cheat or hack on your disk or PS2? (Not 1337 with hacks. Sorry if I sound n00bish.)

well i dont think anybody used a armax on my game even though i have one i have checked and there are no codes for .hack G.U vol2 that i know of so that rules that out right away and I already said i didn't transfer the save data from the my first game save file because i had used defence, health and sp cheats on my volume 1 file

try using a different memory card before you go out and buy a new copy of the game. sometimes memory cards screw up and corrupt everything like that

that is one kick ass bug. invicible haseo could kill the one sin in hit probably. but i'd understand y u would want to beat the game normally first.

well its not goin to be fun if ur goin to beat it in like 10 hrs lol. i think jack just wants to enjoy the game not rush through and its past the time if u have nutin to do and btw thts awesome tht u have a haseo thts invincible. and jack u doint need a code theres a hacking device tht can rly do awesome things like playing ovan and other stuff. and if anyones wondering i dont have it im not a hacker. i like to play thing normally.

Man maxed out haseo sound goood but at the start bad idea i had something like it on FFX, my cd was completely glitched
