xD wow so quite awhile then~ Back then we had .hack galore out but nowadays there is very little new info besides from unofficial translations of Japanese only manga, novels and games ^^'

:3 GU series had a fair amount of manga and novels, though I hope you picked them up some time ago given Tokyopop went bust lol

I know tokyopop had the best stuff to read. I read GU on manga browser on my phone. I was disappointed that Tokyopop stopped doing graphic novels

I think they have continued but only a small number of titles, though would have been nice if whenever they decide to release more they fix all the mistranslations in the .hack media xD

Just a heads up if you do plan to own them physically some of the manga/novels are rare i.e. .hack//G.U. novel 3 and .hack//LINK vol 3 so if you find them cheap in ebay auctions or second hand shops best to pick them up ^_^

I played a long time ago the original series. I just bought G.U. Last Recode and am thoroughly immersed in The World. I joined so I could use the search feature to find long lost checklists and guides that will serve me usefully along the way.

Sorry for the late reply, :3 nice to hear you played the originals way back when hopefully when they didn't cost a fortune and that you are enjoying Last Recode~

xD a shame they only released a guide book for vol 1, how far have you gotten?

Hey, dot hackers! I'm new to the boards, but not to the fandom! I used to record .hack//SIGN episodes on VHS so I could rewatch them, and eagerly awaited each new volume of the game in the time between releases. I sold many-a-game if I didn't have the money saved up when it was time for a new .hack, because I just couldn't wait.

Now here I am, still just in love with the series as I was as a kid. Still have all of my old .hack games and manga and whatnot, as well as some new items in the collection. Just got Fragment running in English today too finally, so looking forward to playing that!

Hello, dothackers! Some of you may know me on Discord, but it's important to introduce myself here in this board. My name is Jikanet, I'm not new to the fandom, but new to the boards, but I've been visiting this board for a long time around maybe 2014 or 2015, well I can't remember what year did I come here without registering. But anyway, I was brought into this series because .hack//G.U. back in 2007 since first played that game, and I couldn't bring myself up until now I'm still love that game and Haseo as a Protagonist, it's the best childhood game I've ever had in my young days. Although I was on hiatus with the series until .hack//G.U. Last Recode announced for PS4 and Steam in 2017, I was so very hyped about that game and that become game that brought me back to the series after few years drop or hiatus. Now I'm still here trying to help people who didn't know about .hack or didn't know if .hack//G.U. was announced on Nintendo Switch, I look forward to interact with you guys, Thank you and have a good day.

P.S. I bought .hack//G.U. Last Recode on Steam and finished through all four volumes and I must say, I'm happy with this game that much improved since decade ago.

Found out the board was fixed, and decided to make an account and post in 20-freaking-22! I don't really talk on the Discord much but I'm WulfOrc over there if you've seen me. I started playing .hack the year it came out on PS2 with Infection, but my full start with it was catching //SIGN on Toonami at midnight, caught the opening and didn't know what it was, but I was here for it! I've kept up with it off and on since then (came back for GU, play Fragment now, etc), but gosh is it one of the games I've always loved.

Hello! I’m a fan of the GU dot hack games! I remember playing them in middle school waiting for the next volume.

Well what do we have here? A classic subject forum that still exists with it's own domain? Here I am, in my thirties, thinking that all of these types of forums were a thing of the past. My how things have changed. The Naruto Mania forums are gone, Daisuke's Dojo is gone, Ninjas versus Pirates is gone, Ultimate Manga is gone, but hey, here is a somewhat surviving Dot Hack forum hanging in there. Many times have I missed my time in RP forums, starting from Gaia Online, moving over to the designated forums in Naruto Mania, then to Ninjas and Pirates, to Daisuke's Dojo.

How different twenty years of internet have made my life. Still finding that the fable modding forums are not the same as well. The first game I modded, till I made my time with Skyrim, then FO NV, to building my own games. Here we are, years down the line. Many of us have lost our childhood, sitting here with memories, missing our naivete and simple escapism into games about an MMORPG that could replace the world we lived in. Listening to Simple Plan, Three Days Grace, and Evanescence while grinding dungeons and searching for the twilight. What have we become? What were we? Are we the Haseo to Sora? Are we Endrance to Elk? Nah, they are still to young. What I can say that my children are already coming up to the age I first played A Link to the Past. What has happened to time? It's gone, what now? .Hack//Reminisce

Welcome to the forums! Right? It's crazy that places like this still exist, or I should say, it's crazy to me how different things are today.

It's pretty dead around here but I check in frequently. I love to write so if you're into RP and don't mind a slow game (I'm a mother of 3 all aged 2 and younger...twins, aren't I lucky?) then I'm down for a game! Or, whatever. See you around!

I can subscribe to that. I'm a father of 2, a 4 year old and 2 year old, both ASD, and I work from home so I'm the primary care taker. I am also getting my Masters, which means I'm very busy. However, I do a lot of sanity breaks through the day, as well as stopping the children from trying to hurt each other. Haha
