Yeah, I was disapointed with my sig. I'm making a D. Gray-man set soon! The avatar was mainly made for MSN use so I'll fix myself a new one when I'm not so lazy.

Well... Its not terrible, but not great either. The whole thing is pretty grainy and there isn't any blending with the stock into the background. The text is meh, but I think its a great start. As I've said, maybe slightly different text and blending and getting rid of what I think are scanlines would make it much better.

7.5/10 for now.

Sorry if I offended you, but its just how I see it. Everyone really has their own opinions on art.

I've been personally trained in photoshop for about 2 years now. Two years makes a large difference. To some, yes, my sig may look strained color-wise, and dull. But thats the color scheme. While yours, has a grainy feel (which no offense to you or the artist, looks wonky to me) and an earth tone color scheme. It's just the way its designed and to how it appeals to people.

And I'll say it again, everyone rates differently. Some may have said it deserves a 2/10 (People at my old forum would have given it that) while others may give it a 10/10. It all just goes down to who is rating it and where its being rated.

So giving it a 7.5 really isn't an insult, its just to show that a little more push is needed to get that 2.5 more =D

Before I rate, two things.
1. I don't have an avatar... that may be why you can't see it >_>
2. You can't do smudging like that on GIMP....

Avi: Looks like a tinted Manga scan. Nothing special done, quite unappealing IMO. 5/10
Sig: All I see are two stocks blended together, a bad try with c4d on the left and text slapped on. Perhaps the three biggest tips I can give you are 1) Avoid using two stocks 2) read up on c4d tuts if you want to use them and 3) Don't use GIMP. Its far to limiting to make anything really nice. BTW, 4.5/10
