Re: Execution(RP)
"FINAL STAGE"
The beam launched forth, cutting its way through everything as it bore down on Utsuho. But Haruka had forgotten an important thing in a fight with an opponent like Utsuho. Laser are beams of light, and intense heat distorts light. Utsuho wasn't prepared for that at the moment, but the heat surrounding the fighter was enough to shift Final Stage off target to only vaporize her left arm and scar her left side a bit. At the same time, however, a momentary, dim blue aura seemed to take bit of fight out of the woman. That had been courtesy of Sariabell as her first Divide took place, halving Utsuho's power and giving that missing half to the Scythe-meister. The Announcement had been over shadowed by the roar of Haruka's Final Stage. "This much...? Jeez, Even this much left could level the City with those flames. What were they thinking making her...?" she said to herself, watching and supporting as she would.
Utsuho, on the other hand, staggered slightly from sudden power loss as she held the stump with her claw. "What the hell was that? What did you do to me? B@tch. B@tch. How B@tchin that you can do this to me!!" she stated as her claw warped and deformed until it formed on her left stump, replacing her missing left arm. "I'm having fun... Is that still allowed? Well, as long as the Mission is complete, that shouldn't be an issue!" She finished as Haruka opened fire. Bullets flew and were consumed another huge Cannon Blade attack. The woman smiled as the Missiles came, readying another attack.
DIVIDE!!
This time, the announcement was clear as day as another azure aura weakened the flame woman. The eye-like orb on her chest pulsed hard and faster as it attempted to build power faster. Utsuho ignored it. There was nothing she could do about it until she figure out what was happening. "Phoenix Talon!" The massive phoenix-shaped flame launched skyward, wiping out missiles even as it return to envelop her in a bubble of super-heated air. The Division was causing her Bullet-blocking flame to dissipate, but the Laser cannon was the bigger threat. "I have created thousands of blazes... Uncaring of damage, nor caring of the World..." A ball of black power formed with the spoken Aria as the laser fired. With a roar of strength, Utsuho grabbed the ball in her claw and drove it into the coming laser, the two clashing before Utsuho was knocked back. But it did what she wanted as the laser deflected into the earth, causing the area to shake as it and the damage from the earlier damage from Giga-Prominence made the area collapse into a huge, 20 ft deep sink hole.

Re: Execution(RP)
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", laughed Haruka as she continued to open fire with the turret, Brian simply sat next her with his arm connected to the machine, "This thing is awesome! I've never fired a laser, Gatling gun and missiles at the same time!" she said as Brian smiled, "This here baby is my execution technique, Brian Turret, back then she used a regular ammo box, when I became a cyborg I had BLOOD technology implanted on me, I can fire this baby myself, but I figured you'd want some action" Brian told Haruka, The Former Navy SEAL kept her sights on the target as she continued to shoot.
Re: Execution(RP)
Lasers, missiles and bullets shot past Zorlo as he watched the fight continue. HIs vision was getting hazy and his body heavy. They were all helping... but a powerful blast caused the ground to crack and rupture. He manage to move as the ground beneath Haruka and Brian began to sink. "You idiots should move... or else you're gonna die," Zorlo stated as he sighed and walked forwards.
Light flashed forth from Zorlo's hand as the Lightbrand formed. Any feeling of personality had been stolen from this battle for him... he just needed to end it. "Stupid mortals... I told you to stay out of my fight. Nothing I can do now," he stated with a sigh as he rushed forwards.
The ground beneath him erupted into dust and scattered as the ground began to crack. Zorlo's movements were measured and accurate as he moved into safer areas of heat as he neared. Skidding slightly as he gripped his sword in both hands, the swordsman burst forwards and thrust his sword forward into the woman's core.
The blade punched into the massive eye-like protrusion from the woman's chest as he pushed the blade slightly more. He could feel it... but it wasn't enough. Quickly flipping, Zorlo drove his heel into the handle of the sword and gave it one fierce push before he disengaged. "Utsuho... I hope I will see you again beyond the veil... wait for me," he stated as he began to move back, recalling her words from those years ago.

Re: Execution(RP)
As Utsuho gasped in shock, an inhuman scream came not from her, but the Eye-like protrusion on her chest. What almost looked like lava gushed out, melting the Lightbrand with ease as she touched the wound. She'd been just landing and was focused on the turret to the point of forgetting Zorlo. Then suddenly, he was there. Then suddenly, his sword was ramming through her chest. Though the kick staggered her, it was less then shock of her own powers erupting that made her scream. Her claw went wild as it engulfed her in a crimson sphere. Sirens blared from the sphere, loud & insistent with the urge to flee. For these were the sirens that warning to find the nearest bombing shelter and dig in. Zorlo knew. This was her Final Attack, her 'Last Word' that activated when she was near death and would finish when she expired.
"What in the world...?" It was Sariabell only words for the events unfolding beneath her. But she did recognize what was happening as the Klaxon's ended and the sphere turned white.
Hell's Artificial Sun...In an explosion of heat and light, the sphere turned into what could only be described as a Mini-sun the size of a large pick-up truck. The burning sphere pulsed like a beating heart as it jumped to van-sized after a few seconds, then closer to house-sized soon after, the weight of the star beginning to pull small items like loose rocks into its deadly, vaporizing heat. It didn't look ready to stop grow either as Sariabell yelled down for everyone to get some distance from it.

Re: Execution(RP)
Zorlo remained calm as he stared at the artificial sun as he felt his tears be simply burned away. "Everyone, retreat. She's dying... this attack will vanish when she is gone. The mission is complete, so get the hell out of here and go collect your blood money," Zorlo yelled in annoyance as he simply watched and waited. He had things to do as he looked into her sphere.
My body is made out of swords.
These words raced through his mind as he looked at his now shining bracers.
My blood is iron, and my heart is glass.
He took a brazen step forwards as he waited for the flames to vanish. His legs wavered... he almost couldn't stand to watch anymore, and not because of the heat.
I have survived countless battles.
Not even once have I retreated,
Not even once have I been understood.
Zorlo's body quivered as he fell to his knees.
I was always alone, intoxicated with victory on the hill of swords.
"And thus my life has no meaning.
Certainly this body is made out of swords." he said as he wrapped his arms around his body.

Re: Execution(RP)
Zorlo and anyone else still nearby was flung backwards over a hundred yards by a wide area forceblast. Morgan turned around to face the sun and unwrapped his forearms revealing glowing red Latin script etched into them. "I hate all of you." He muttered as he cast a powered up circle of protection; an enormous black sphere over a hundred yards in diameter appeared, locking the fake hellfire sun, Utsuho, and Morgan inside.
"You think that's Hellfire? Take it from a diabolist that's nothing. This though. This is Hellfire." Morgan raised his hands towards her sun and started throwing vast amounts of the supernatural flame at her final attack to consume it.

Re: Execution(RP)
The Hellfire met 'Hell's Artificial Sun' with explosive results as he caused her Last Word to burn hotter & bigger then it already was. The clash was vicious, but short ultimately as Morgan was forced to drop the barrier to prevent his own death by suffocation. The Star burned brightly for a few moments more before shuddering. Then, just like they teach you in astronomy class, the outer layer contracted down as 'Hell's Artificial Sun' turned into a floating White Dwarf. quickly, it cooled down into a black dwarf, the surface cracking and splitting, before shattering to release Utsuho's limp, bloody corpse. It barely had time to start falling before a large crane hook caught her dead body mid-air and pulled her up into a black helicopter. "Everyone..." Kenith handed nearby, slowed by a jet pack built into his legs & back. Clearly not fully human. "Good job taking her down. We own you a great deal of gratitude, Executioners," he said to everyone before looking at Brian. "We are sending you the agreed payment even now. We'll keep in touch, Commander Brian." That said, the jet pack launched him skyward to the retreating Helicopter as Sariabell landed nearby.
Re: Execution(RP)
Hope... a moment of hope as her body fell. True, the crater beneath her was molten... but her body was resistant to flames. He'd be able to say goodbye... to give her a proper burial and-
Despair. Nothing left but despair and rage as Utsuho's body was carried up towards the chopper. Zorlo's legs shook violently... he clenched his hands tightly as Langley's infamous minions flew off in their chopper. His knees buckled and his body collapsed. Resting his hands on the ground, the green-haired man had nothing in that moment. No closure... no hope... not chance to move on. Simply rage.
An unearthly roar echoed from him as he let loose a terrible yell. Terrifying and depressing all at once, tears flowed from his eyes like rivers. Zorlo's body locked up... he couldn't move any more... he couldn't think... he didn't feel. It was like his entire life until that moment was lost... everything he had wanted, gone.
If there truly was a god in the universe, in that moment Zorlo deemed him dead.

Re: Execution(RP)
Next to where Utsuho's star had been there was now an orb of hellfire of about equal size seemingly tethered to Morgan's arms and then it all came rushing down into the mage. The script seemed to become a deeper crimson and spread farther up his arms. He started cackling, madly as the flames returned to the script. Morgan turned towards Sariabell and tackled her. He wrapped his hands around her throat; his adrenaline rush spell was still in effect so he was about as strong as any of the cyborgs. "Hahaha! You said you wanted me to kill you right? Heehee! So just let me kill you! Ghahahaha!" Morgan started trying to slam her head against the ground repeatedly.

((Disclaimer:Utsuho was by no means an attempt by myself to build upon a character's background or provide back-story. Any character development resulting from Utsuho's entry, battle, or death, is purely coincidental. End Disclaimer.))
Distracted by Zorlo's roar of anguish & hate and not expecting to be attacked by an ally, Morgan's Adrenaline Rush-enhanced tackle took her by surprise even as she caught his wrists with her hands instinctively to keep from being strangled. "Morgan!? Wha-" Her words were cut off with the first head slam. On the other hand, it was probably good that the dirt and what was left of the grass was soft, so it didn't really hurt. Utsuho's stolen power helped reduce the blow too. Speaking of which...
The girl flexed her muscles, her own strength plus the 3/4ths of Utsuho's let her resist even his strength as she pulled his hands away. "I don't know what's going on, but you mess up and aren't going to win..." she stated to him flatly, an unamused look on her face.
DIVIDE!!
The same blue aura flashed over Morgan as Divine Dividing Cut his power in half and gave it to Sariabell. Now weakened, the even stronger Sariabell practically launched the Sorcerer halfway across the clearing before standing up. "The hell is wrong with you?! You wanna die!?" she yelled, picking up and unfolding her scythe.

Re: Execution(RP)
Haruka was glad that the job was over, suddenly, she felt an intense pain in her left arm "AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!! What the heck?!" she shouted, she then saw purple energy swirling around it, "No, it can't be!", it was Dark matter, The more evil a target was, the more evil a target was, the more dark matter they released, and Haruka. unfortunately, attracted the stuff, Ever since Operation Neptune Spear.....
"Kasugano! Shoot!" said the SEAL next to her, they were in a room, face to face with the very man who was responsible for so many deaths, and Haruka had her gun trained on the target, who then proceeded to speak, "Killing me will not end this, in fact killing me will just fuel our hate for you and your country even more, you all think you're doing this for Jus-", "BANG!", A shot rang, out, and the target crumpled unto the floor but as soon as he did, the room went dark, the SEAL's found themselves encased in total darkness, "What just happened?" asked one of them, "I told you, my death will only be the beginning" said a disembodied voice, "AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" screamed a SEAL, the others soon began to scream as well, Haruka felt intense pain in her left arm, she then drew out a the war Machete they used to cut down the door, she screamed as she brought it down on her left arm.....
Haruka was on the pavement screaming from the intense pain, then Brian carried her in his arms, "Vivianne! Take her to the hospital!" he told her as he put her on the sidecar of the motorcycle, Vivianne rode off, Vientiane was left with Brian, who then proceeded to tell her, "Call me a fool but this is particularly why I chose Kasugano to go along with the group, the Dark Matter is more attracted to her than the others", he said, "So basically, you hired her because she's a dark matter magnet? You're going to kill her!" said Vientiane, "She said she was fine with it", "What?!", "She said it can be remedied, she won't tell me how the remedy works though", "......", Vientiane now knew that her friend was committing the ultimate sacrifice, Protecting others from Dark Matter.

Re: Execution(RP)
Morgan landed with a growl, his right foot did not look like it was supposed to go that way. He loped on all fours back towards Sariabell and threw a forceblast before he closed in, then suddenly his body seemed to give out on him as he was about to jump straight onto her scythe, instead the jump turned into a little skip; the adrenaline rush had finally run out. Upside he had not impaled himself on a scythe, downside he was physically a lot weaker than before, hell he pretty much felt like collapsing especially with the drain from Divide but first he had to rip the dragon girl apart. Morgan collided bodily with Sariabell, he was flailing weakly at her trying to once again get at her throat, with practically no success, Divide timed and hit him again not that there was much left to take, but then the script flared brightly and he threw a forceblast at her with much more power than he should have had that knocked her down and back. He continued crawling towards her breathing heavily, "She's mine. Mine to strangle. Mine. You hear me, MINE!" He screamed, grabbed the pistol and pointed it at her, the script on his forearms flickered and faded back to just being scars. His head lolled, his hand grew limp and dropped the pistol, and he fell unconscious.
Re: Execution(RP)
Tragedy and Irony exist in an oddly substantial state. Most people who feel tragedy are viewed as being ironic by at least one person who observed it (likely because their mind lacks the capacity to truly understand what irony means). In contrast, irony has a state of being tragic when it occurs to a person that didn't foresee it coming.
It is in this light that, as Zorlo sat at the edge of the smoldering and still slightly molten crater, the falling of rain made the tragedy which had just unfolded ironic. The heavy beat of large drops that pelted the landscape, especially Zorlo, reinforced the growing feeling of emptiness as he stared into the rapidly cooling void before him. There was nothing left for him. Truly nothing remained.
He no longer had a reason to fight... to wield Sword Birth's powers... so why had he lived? Why didn't he let her slay him as he moved to kill her? What purpose did living without Utsuho mean to him now?
As the rapidly forming crater of obsidian before him reminded, there had been a catastrophe here... depending on who you were it might have been this part of the city, the trees, or the massive crater in the ground. No matter which it was... one thing was certain: Suffering is something mortals do.
Zorlo forced himself to stand as he looked into the void. He took a weary step towards the edge and continued to look into the pit of smoking, black rock that sat before him. One more step and he would fall into the void... but what then? He wasn't sure.. and fear restrained him from taking that step... He was so close, yet so far...

Re: Execution(RP)
The raindrops roused Morgan. "Hm? Huh? Oh, I lost consciousness, that hasn't happened for a while." He picked the gun up, stood, immediately regretted it, but refused to go back to lying on the ground. "Why am I so tired? I didn't use a second rush, did I? No, there are survivors, and I'm not covered in blood. Weird." He hobbled over to Zorlo, standing over the void, and sat down next to him. "Hey there, Romeo, you want a hand? I could shove you, or y'know, I have this handy little thing called a gun so I could just shoot you, but I'm afraid that would end things too quickly. If you let me shove you I'll even go down there and stay with you till your body finally gets the message, laughing at how stupid you are mind you, but I'll still be there. I'm thinking about using this stuff to make a staff. Whatever spike strikes closest to your heart would probably be best." Morgan breathed slowly, drawing in magical energy from around himself, he massaged his broken ankle, and poured the magic into it to accelerate the healing. I should really get a healing spell down rote, this is horribly inefficient. "Or, if you want to continue being useless to me, you could just talk. I'm sure your master would prefer that to me plucking it off your body and turning it into the tool instead of letting it continue to use you to further it's own agenda."

Re: Execution(RP)
Lucia walked towards Zorlo. Part of her wasn't really attached to anything, but her mission in a sense required working as part of a team. She approached him and put a hand to his. She was practically dragging him along, even if it hurt her body. Her body moved without really caring about the looks she was being given. Assessing the situation required her to give him in a sense silence she supposed. Perhaps that would give him time. She looked around until she found the place she was looking for. She took him up the stairs and brought him into the apartment. Making sure he was sitting, she began preparing a practical meal.
Re: Execution(RP)
Zorlo sat where the girl sat him. He remained quiet as he looked at the table and folded his hands over his lap. What in the world was this girl doing? Why was she even an Executioner? He had no idea... he hadn't cared until today. Whatever her angle, whatever her design, he didn't let it get to him. He released a deep, pained sigh before he looked up. "I'm sorry," he stated loud enough he hoped she could hear. He didn't really FEEL anything at the moment... and he wasn't sure if she was concerned or acting out of duty... either way, it was... somewhat sad. This girl was helping him... and he didn't know why.
As he smelled food being prepared, he looked at the manacles around his wrists and sighed. These were all he had now... without Utsuho, he simply had Sword Birth to give him purpose. He was a sword in the field of blades now... all that remained was to be put to rest.

Re: Execution(RP)
"You carried out your task." Lucia stated, her hands moving without seeming to stop as she looked towards him. "I only know to carry out tasks. That is all I ever did." She turned back to the meal she was making. Once the cooking was started, she brought out the tray with cups of bitter coffee and placed on in front of him. She drank hers without complaining.
Re: Execution(RP)
Zorlo drank the cup of coffee quietly as he looked at the girl. "How old are you, fifteen or sixteen? You probably haven't been in love yet... its... an odd feeling. Especially when its the only thing that keeps you going... you feel like your life is totally worth everything going on and that when you see that person again... when you touch... when you speak... every time you see that person you feel like everything is going to be all right. And today... that feeling died with her... I wasn't acting for the mission, I was acting for myself... to try and save a piece of my humanity. I guess it couldn't be done," Zorlo stated as he drank in the bitter coffee tragically.
That was all he could think to say for now... and perhaps that bothered him as well.

Re: Execution(RP)
Brian told Vientiane, "Just tell the others that their paycheck is in financing back at the office, as for collateral damages, I'll just bill the state, although the Media is gonna have a field day with this", with that, Brian proceeded to walk back to the office, leaving Vientiane to tell the others where to get their paycheck.
"Haruka, wake up.... Haruka, wake up...." said a voice, Haruka then woke up to find out she was in a hospital room, she looked around and saw that there was nobody there, she then looked at her left arm and brought it closer to her face, "Big O" she muttered, that was the name of her arm, or at least the name she gave it, engraved on the arm were the words, "Cast in the name of God, Ye not guilty", fitting for an Executioner, a nurse then came in, "Miss Kasugano, you nearly suffered Cardiac Arrest, but the good news is you're fine now, so we can discharge you now if you like" said the nurse, Haruka beckoned the nurse to come closer....
"And sign here" said the nurse from earlier as Haruka signed her release papers, "Call me" said the nurse as Haruka smiled back at her, she then proceeded to hail a cab, she wanted to go home.

"Then your will wasn't strong enough." She spoke, putting her cup down. "If it was strong enough, you'd have pushed us all away to fulfill your personal mission." Her gaze remained the same as she stood up. "I am unable to empathize. I simply believe it is better to worry about your team if you are to form a proper skill set." In her own way, she was worrying, but not in a way she understood.
