Re: Class of Heroes
Zorlo laughed at Kale's comments as he left and crossed his arms. "I can smith just as well with one arm as I can with both. He doesn't realize that, since my powers help with it. As for her... she'll not eat you unless she gets hungry, but odds are I'll be closer so I'll probably get eaten first... although I'm apparently too stringy and tough to eat effectively. Still, I like having her around... she and I... have a lot in common. She's a bit more extreme on the edge than I am... I've lost faith in the outside world and in finding meaning in this one... but I haven't quiet fully snapped yet."
The green haired man sighed as he removed his turban and set it down next to him. The Turban clanked as his vest was removed as well and the man cracked his shoulders. Another metallic crash from the vest pointed out two things: Zorlo wore weighted clothing for some reason; and that he didn't seem to notice them until now.
"ANyway, Ari, if you want, I'll go hunting for you later. I need to continue on fighting bandits. I may not believe in there is purpose to dispensing justice in this world of Man-Eat-Man, but that doesn't mean I still don't fight for what I believe is right. You're just a much more radical perspective on it," he told her with a smile.

Re: Class of Heroes
Daniel raised a single brow at Ari's behavior and Zorlo's explanation. "Charmed, I'm sure," he said bemusedly. He shook his head at Kale's exit and said, "I can honestly say I'll never understand him. The whole 'lone-wolf' attitude is really kind of silly. At any rate, I have an offer to make to you two as well as any friends you might have: I can give you a comfortable and spacious roof over your heads, completely climate-controlled, and in exchange, help me gather food supplies. I'm running low on food-stock and I know nothing of hunting or gathering, but I suspect you two do. So, what do you say?"
Re: Class of Heroes
"Living space means nothing to me. As for food, if you bring the pretty lady into your building, you'll have to learn to hunt much, much faster. She eats incredibly fast, which I assume has something to do with her powers, perhaps. Her home is the mall, and I'm a bit of a drifter. My livelihood is built around assailing marauders and bandits and mercenaries. People who still worship the things of the old world are fool. This new world is built upon a new truth... one that is built by each person and their morals."
"I shall enstill justice back into this world... and see civilization returned. Not civilization as it was, where some prospered and most suffered and died. I mean a civilization where others build and earn what they need through their labors... but that dream is all but gone. This world is ruled by strength... and unless those pocket societies can be broken of their old world values... it means nothing... the words I speak. And such, my heart is empty. My hands will never truly hold anything..."
Zorlo recalled there were other people around as he diatribed and coughed. "Forgive me... I... well, anyway, you need to learn to hunt, so come with me and the lady later. There might be some things of interest left in town... but be weary. Never allow yourself to be alone with her... her reservations about making food of me are not so shared with everyone."
With those words, Zorlo returned to trying to make new swords. Kale needed them.

Re: Class of Heroes
Arielinna merely smiled back from where she'd continued eating the Tiger, regarding the two with her blank, near empty gaze. She'd managed to single-handedly eat her way through roughly half of the large tiger body and was only just beginning to look as though she was slowing down. On the other hand, she'd neatly skinned almost the entire thing, so someone would have a nice tiger pelt after this was over. "Green Man... Is Cupcake joining us...?" she asked after a quiet burp in the middle of her meal. Despite the fact the thing was already, mostly bled out, she'd still managed to stain herself even more in its blood.
Re: Class of Heroes
Zorlo flushed as he looked at her before he looked away and covered his face until he managed to shake off the look. He knew that she wouldn't understand, and he didn't feel the need to be nagged by this newcomer, since Kale wasn't there to do it. "I think he'll be with us for a bit. I have to teach him how to Hunt. Well, me or Kale... most likely me since I'm apparently the least mercenary person among us," the green-haired man said with a sigh as he picked up his vest and turban and put them on.
The swordsman picked up his arm-blade and attached it to his left arm and stared at the weapon. "This is more than enough to deal with wild beasts or other people. Ari, please don't eat Kale while I"m gone... unless you want to come. There'll be more food," Zorlo said as he smiled at her as he stepped forwards. "I'll finish Kale's swords when I'm done helping you learn to hunt Dan."

Re: Class of Heroes
Daniel smiled. "Much appreciated, Zorlo." He then looked over to the young woman with uncertainty and said, "Nice to have met you."
Re: Class of Heroes
As Zorlo left the Junkyard, making sure to remain at point with the untrained man, he sighed. As the darkness of night was setting in, things were getting... more and more unpleasant. Now was the time when things far scarier than mere humans walked the earth. Beasts transformed by the chaos the world had descended into emerged from their daily resting places and began to hunt themselves.
"That creature Kale captured is just one of many dangerous beasts about. THis world's atmosphere makes generally docile creatures into killing machines... and normal hunters into supreme beings. We should be weary... becoming food is not on my to do list," Zorlo stated as his arm blade extended. "This city isn't a good place to remain much longer, however. The native population is almost completely destroyed. Just you and that girl in there remain. Without any kind of checks, these creatures will expand even further. Survival here will become even more of a living nightmare than this world."
From the darkness, a form stepped out and stood before the two. A gorilla which had become twisted and large stared down at them maliciously. Zorlo turned and caught sight of the creature narrowly before leaping back to evade the massive hand of the beast.
"Damn!" the green-haired man stated as he readied his arm-blade. "Having no combat training, please provide what support you can..."

Re: Class of Heroes
It wasn't completely silent down in the abandoned basement, not even close really, but compared to above ground the half dozen doors between him and the surface made it comparatively sound proof. Kale rested his head on his bag and reached up towards the ceiling. "Tomorrow, I'm coming for you, Poltergeist. Nobody cheats me. Not even some super powered bandit lord." He made a fist and closed his eyes to sleep.
Re: Class of Heroes
Daniel scrambled to activate his gravity powers, sending the gorilla 'falling' into a large boulder several meters behind it. He then negated gravity around the beast altogether and let it hover mid-air.
"There, it should be knocked out by now, yeah?"

Re: Class of Heroes
As the young man spoke, the gorilla began to resist. Zorlo held his arm-blade out and sliced at the creature, cutting a gouge out of his face. The man adjusted his turban with his free hand and stared at the large creature as it continued to try and resist the lack of gravity. "I see... you've lost your mind to this world..." the swordsman said with a sigh as he stepped back and spun around, driving his sword deep into the beast's throat and out the back.
As the gorilla spit blood into the landscape of no gravity. The blade-warrior shifted back as the gorilla grabbed the blade of the sword and started trying to drag Zorlo into the well of non-gravity. "Dammit... dammit..." WIth a flash and a spray of blood, Zorlo sliced the gorilla's fingers off and watched as blood sprayed into null space. The green-haired man shifted back as the arm blade returned to its unused position as an energy sword tore through the front of the monster's head and out the back.
"Hopefully, it will stop resisting soon."

Re: Class of Heroes
Daniel nearly lost his focus at the gore he was witnessing. It was made all the worse by the blood red pearls oozing out of the wounds and just floating about.
"This is why I could never stand to watch 'House'," he replied conversationally before normalizing gravity around the beast and then strengthening it to over twice it's normality.
As a result, the monster gorilla was viciously slammed into the ground (so much so that it's body made a decent indentation on the ground).
"Come on, you monster, just give up!" Daniel said in near desperation.

Re: Class of Heroes
In the warm evening, the smell of blood was a pervasive thing, blowing around and reaching far. So much so, that it was a bit surprising that other predators hadn't begun showing up yet. But then, if the Kamaitachi that flew silently passed Daniel to split through the twitching monstrous gorilla was any indication, there was a more terrifying predator about.
The Gorilla's head split down the middle as a giggle came from behind Daniel. A burst of 'blue wind' announced Airelinna's presence as she seemingly teleported passed him before Zero-Shifting again several times. Her final shift saw the two halves of the Gorilla's head removed from its shoulders, it's blood splattering the already blood-strained girl in a fresh, spotty coat of crimson. She was starting her next swing to start removing body parts when she momentarily staggered from the more extreme gravity around the thing. "...so heavy suddenly..." she murmured to herself as she Zero-Shifted back from the corpse, taking a moment to lick some of the splattered blood from her lips.

Re: Class of Heroes
Zorlo smiled at the woman and chuckled. "She's just the best, isn't she?" he asked Daniel before realizing he'd said that out loud and shaking it off. "I mean... it seems she's here to eat our catch. Still, she struck it down," the warrior stated as he marched past the creature and started to float as energy began to flow from him. "Let's go find our next target. Eventually she'll need to sleep, but until then, we just need to hang in there," the swordsman stated with a smile as he continued on.
Re: Class of Heroes
Daniel starred at the woman with something between awe and horror. "Personally, I'm not too sure what to make of her yet," Daniel replied to Zorlo, "She is insatiable, I will give her that."
Daniel followed Zorlo to their next target, and prayed that Airelinna wouldn't eat it.

Re: Class of Heroes
Zorlo chuckled as he started to walk off. "You worry too much. Eventually she'll wear out," the green-haired man said as he rested his foot on the ground for a moment before pausing and watching a piece of it slide away. Below, a few deranged, somewhat large bunny rabbits faced down the two. Zorlo simply sighed as his blade flung into place. Zorlo's body began to glow green and in the next few seconds, a flash of slashes quickly struck down a number of the rabbits in a bloody spray around him.
When the attack was done, Zorlo sighed as the blade swung back into its holding position. The swordsman simply looked around and looked at Daniel. "Start collecting. I've done my part for today."

Re: Class of Heroes
Daniel nodded and shouldered off the backpack he was wearing. Unzipping it, he pulled out a large plastic bag (lining to keep the gore from messing up his backpack) and began filling it with the dead bunny bodies.
Once finished, he put the bag back into the backpack, put it back on his back, and walked with Zorlo back to camp.
"Thanks for your help."

Re: Class of Heroes
A few hours had passed while Daniel got his first lesson in hunting and Kale had actually managed to get something akin to 40 winks and was waiting for them back at the scrapyard, lying on a truck hood and twirling a knife overhead. "Good hunt?" Somehow he had managed to completely rid himself of the scent of blood and on top of that Kale actually smelled of oleander, a poisonous flower, and was clad in his black garb.
Re: Class of Heroes
Zorlo looked at Kale and sighed. "ANyway, its good to know you're awake. Now that the sun has risen, I feel much better," Zorlo stated as he began to shine slightly before he cracked his neck. "Anyway, Dan, I need you to do something," he told the young man and laughed. "Kale's a natural predator, so traveling with him will train you in how to hunt better. Humans and other problem creatures, I"m sure. For now... I need to go sunbathe... I've exhausted a lot of power. Pinky, come with me," he said, waving over Ari. "After all, I need someone to keep me safe while I recharge, and I know there isn't anyone here that can kill you," the green-haired man said as he started to walk again.
"I need an hour to regain my full strength. After that, we can go, Kale. I left your swords at the forge. THey're immaculate this time, so you can't blame them if you die."

Re: Class of Heroes
Kale hopped up to his feet, the swords in question rested on his back, "I saw." He placed himself in Zorlo's path and bowed as he drew and crossed the twin black swords before him. "I just wanted to tell you that they had exceeded my expectations. Thank you." He stood aside. "Anyways, I won't be around when you get back. I'm going to go kill Poltergeist for trying to cheat and kill me. So unless you all want to come along to watch that, I'm going to head out now. Laters." He said and started walking.
Re: Class of Heroes
Zorlo stumbled slightly. "Poltergeist? He's near where I'm headed. I've heard that Darius Charleton, leader of the Student Hunters, and he are working together in some forest or something currently. I've never wandered far from the wastes, so i 'll need you to guide me, but I have vested interest in seeing you have that fight. I'll be coming for certain," Zorlo said as he stumbled slightly. He knew if he wasn't careful he'd be eaten... but his body's energy was getting really low, and it was starting to frustrate him...
