The ship then arrived in Ixa'Taka, the lush green tropical rain forests were nice to look at from all that sand back in Esperanza, Marco then set the ship down on a large densely covered land mass, Florin then met them outside and briefed them, "we will be traveling north by foot, the Sierra Madre is not very far so we should make it there in less than thirty minutes, I'll radio Marco if something goes wrong" she said, as the group traveled farther they started noticing faint red fog around them, Florin cast a spell on herself, the spell gave her a protective aura against the fog, as they went in deeper the group then finally arrived, "Behold the Sierra Madre" said Florin as they gazed on the Ruin's of the fog covered Valuan colony.

Ifreeti spent the majority of the trip munching on snacks. She disappeared into the red fog once and when she returned she was rolling a number of pebbles around in one hand while still munching with the other when they finally stopped she turned to Florin, took one of the woman's hands, and placed the pebbles which were actually berries in it. "What do you think, good eats? Also, what's with keeping that ward all to yourself? Asthmatic? Or just selfish?" She didn't seem outwardly that interested in the answers to her questions and crouched down to study the city with a piece of jerky hanging out of her mouth. "Tell me that's not the statue we're recovering. Kammy and I are strong, but I don't think we could budge that." She pointed the half eaten piece of meat at a stone galleon the size of a horse in the middle of a dried up fountain.

Zorlo looked around quietly as they arrived. This place was... not quite what he was expecting. Entirely, the red mist was far more... threatening... than he had thought. As they moved into the city, he remained silent, thinking quietly as Efreeti continued to speak. "So, this is where we're heading. Miss Florin, is that statue there really ALL we are looking for, or is there something more... complicated... than that. If it was this easy, I"m sure our predecessors would have had no problems with this," he stated to her with concern. Nothing was ever this easy.

(I might not be posting much due to using a phone, please bear with me)

"its only a statue mister zorlo, so please don't fret" replied flo, "and no ifreeti it's not that" she added, " the statue we're looking for is made of solid gold" said flo, kamille scanned the area and signalled them to move, "we can set up camp in that building over there" said kamille, as the group moved in they failed to notice the pair of green glowing eyes that were watching them.

A Statue of solid gold... I wonder how big it is...? It seems like it most be rather large of a Speed Magic user couldn't smash & grab it from here. Or is it that it couldn't be found or touched...? The Felineko thought to herself as the group entered the building to make camp. The first thing she did upon clearing the building was to use what wind magic she knew to clear out the crimson fog and 'seal' the windows and such with minor wind fields to keep it out. I would stop something like an animal or person from entering if they wanted to, but it would keep the fog and any bugs out. "Okay, I think that everything..." she said to herself as Requip her current armor and weapon for what she considered to her her Preparation Armor, a Breastplate, set of hip plates, gauntlets, and greaves that was arm with a sword and pair of handguns. She mostly used it to test opponents or otherwise stay ready to fight. "So then, Miss Florin, you do have some idea as to where we're going, correct? Or are seriously going to just secure the city?"

Ifreeti held her hand up to one of the empty windows, examining it backed by the red mist. "Maybe I'm from here." She said as she flipped her hand around a couple of times noting how the red mist seemed to almost match her skin. "I'm going to go scale a building and see if anything jogs my memory. Scream and/or send up a flare if something happens. I'll be back in like an hour or so." She tossed a flare gun to Meriele. Ifreeti stepped outside and stepped back into the wind wall, letting it blow her duster around for a moment before she jumped to the roof of the nearest building and started looking for anything that looked familiar, but being cautious of anything that might be dangerous, including but not limited to dense pockets of the red mist.

Zorlo laughed at Meriele's question to Florin. "Details, details, details," the green-haired man said as he rubbed Meriele's back as he moved towards Florin. "Although my associates have a point. If we don't know what we're looking for, how can we exactly find it? This crazy statue hunt sounds exciting, but we need some idea of where it might be, or perhaps what it looks like. I think I missed that part of the briefing where, in the event we find a number of solid gold statues, we aren't trying to carry several of them away," the man said with a smile and a laugh.

"Anyway, pretty miss, where should we start? Miss Efreeti has the high road, I guess that means I'll see if I can find the low road," Zorlo stated with a chuckle as he moved towards a building and stared at it before turning the door knob. "Wish me luck!"

(Sorry, haven't been feeling well)
"the statue is in a villa located just outside the colony" replied Florin, "in the meanwhile we should wait for Ifreeti, I'll just go over these documents to make sure we're on the right track" she added as she took a seat on a chair,Florin then eyed Zorlo and said "be back in one hour, we dont want to have to go looking for you", Kamille then stayed near the windows, scanning the area for hostiles.

The green glowing eyes then turned blue, "I see you" said the Man in a gas mask, his goggles apparently gave off the glow, he then went down the roof he was on and proceeded to make his way past the colony, he then came across the corpse of a dead Valuan Soldier.... It was fresh, "descendants are hungry again" he chuckled as he went on his way.

Who sees who? Ifreeti thought to herself as she heard Gas Mask's barely audible comment, and then she caught a glimpse of something not red and gave chase. Careful not to make the same mistake of talking as she followed soundlessly. She stopped in a darkened building and watched Gas Mask pass the corpse through a window. Well, he's creepy. I should be getting back.

Ifreeti hung upside down in front of Kamille's window, her hair was being blown back and her mouth was forced open by the winds making her 'Hi There' sound more like, "Bliiiiii deeeeeaaaaarrrrr." She slipped back into the building. "So, I'm starting to think that maybe I'm not from here. Also, Flo, is there supposed to be a creepy guy wearing a gas mask with glowing blue and or green goggles running around? Because there is one. And where did the butler go?"

Flo only answered the second question, "he went out for a bit, he should be back in a moment", she answered as she went back to her map, Kamille inquired to Ifreeti about it though, "did he have any sort of markings on whatever he was wearing? Is he a Valuan soldier?" asked Kamille, Flo however used her magic while the others weren't looking to contact someone...

In an airship a Felineko was enjoying herself in a a bathtub, "Water is best enjoyed warm" she told herself as she giggled, suddenly a face appeared in the water and it didn't look happy, "EEEEK! A PERVERT!" she screamed, "Hello to you to Opera" said the face as the Felineko named Opera then looked closer at the face and then knew who it was, "Florin, Darling how have you been?" asked the Felineko trying to sound polite, "Cut the Formalities you cat! I know what you're up to!" replied Florin angrily, "I dont know what you're talking about Darling" replied the Felineko, "You sent Vector to spy on us! Of all your people you sent a Voyeur?!" said Florin still enraged, "you know he would take every opportunity to see me bathe, besides he's got the best eyes in the business" she said, "you little witch! Don't flatter yourself for having such a hairy body! When this is over I am going to skin you alive!" said Florin as her face dissapeared.

Kamille then tapped Flo on the shoulders and asked if anything was wrong, "nothing dear, we'll just wait for Zorlo to come back that's all", she replied.

[Zorolo]

"I'm back," Zorlo said as he and Meriele returned from the basement of the building. "Well, it was blood boring down there. A bunch of smashed crap, some blocked off passages, and some more weird, red mist, but that's it," the green-haired man said with a sigh. "Sadly, nothing too special down there. IF that building was linked to anything, it looks like something tried to destroy any connectors, so I guess we continue moving above ground. Probably safer. That red mist is a bit thicker down there... which I found peculiar."

Zorlo spun a small piece of pottery he had picked up and examined. It hadn't been particularly useful, but it had hid a small, golden statue that he had given to Meriele in order to convince her to return to the surface without using more than enough firepower to level the building, the blockages in the underground, and anything else in her path. In truth, it probably would have made life easier to try and open that path, but for now, they would explore other routes of travel. "So, what's poppin', ladies?"

This was hardly the first time Flo had ignored her questions, but it was still annoying. Ifreeti thought for a moment and shook her head. "No, I don't think he was Valuan. It's hard to be sure with the mist, but I think he had a red and white octagonal patch. Sorry, it's not one that I remember." She stared at Flo and munched on a terribly loud and crunchy cracker. "You're a secret keeper. That's annoying. If I find out you've been keeping who I am from me-" Z returned and the red head stuffed the cracker in her mouth and waved as she mumbled and spat pieces of cracker in his direction, "Ehcom ack." Whoever Ifreeti was, it was clear that manners were not her strong suit, but she was perceptive.

Florin then told them her plan, "We'll stick to the roof's, that way we won't encounter anything on the streets, are you all ready to go?" asked Flo as she got up, Kamille nodded and then looked at the other's.

"Damn that woman, just because she's the guildmaster's niece doesn't mean she can choose to do what she wants!" exclaimed Opera in anger, however as she was done pacing her room she went to the door, however she found herself unable to open it, she pulled and pulled until she was exhausted, "CALUA! GREN! ASSISTANCE PLEASE!" two men then opened the door.... with relative ease, "how did you do that?" asked Opera as the two came in, one was a Felineko wearing red while the other was a Caninu in blue, "the door opens the other way boss" replied the Caninu calmly, the Felineko he was with was carrying an axe, "thought you were in trouble dude, so I uh brought the axe" said the Felineko in red, Opera then went up to the bridge and told the Helmsman to take them to Ixa'Taka.

Kamille was checking the coast while Flo was in with the others, she then thought she heard an airship pass by, "Must be the fog" she thought to herself.

[Zorolo]

"I'm ALWAYS read to go," Zorlo said as he laughed at the question. "Although, for the sake of this case, yes, I'm prepared to embark on this adventure," he stated, chuckling again. "Meriele's also ALWAYS ready to go. The question, my dear Miss Florin, is will you be ready to go with us?" he asked her, smiling broadly at her as he spun around quickly and rested his hand on his sheathed sword. "But, I assume if you say 'encounter', that means there are things here either looking for us, are that will try and stop us. What is it you aren't telling us, I wonder?" Zorlo asked as he moved in closer to her, to the point it was probably almost uncomfortable for her.

"I'm sure we can help you with it, all you have to do is tell us what is wrong," he said, smiling at her.

Meriele simply smiled her ever present smile and waited with her arms crossed. "My... But Florin takes me as the kinda person to warn you about Snipers after they've put one in your chest. All secrets, bound in mystery, wrapped in an enigma," the Felineko stated aloud as she looked out a nearby window. She didn't see anything yet, but that was sure to change. And soon, most likely. "I doubt she'll tell you anything actually useful Zorlo... unless, of course, she simply intends to try and prove me wrong..." Meriele as she Requip back into a sleeker armor complete with a streamlined Gatling Gun. She was clearly ready.

[Zorolo]

"Now, now, dearest Meriele, let us give the lady some time to explain herself. Preferably without having to use such awful things as threats of force. Miss Florin has her reasons for what she's doing, just as we have ours. If we ask her kindly, I'm sure she'll GLADLY explain what she's thinking. So, miss Florin, what is ACTUALLY going on. I want to help you, and as long as I'm helping you Meriele will as well, but we need to know as MUCH as possible so that we're not all in the dark about what is going to happen next. After all, if we're constantly being ambushed, we won't know quite how to act, ya know?" Zorlo asked as he yawned and stepped back slightly.

"Please... help us help you. All of this secrecy might be how your company operates, but with us outsiders, its better to use direct information so we feel we can trust you. If we can't trust you, why should we let you take the loot in the end? After all, if we get all the way to the end and you betray us, we're not very good at our jobs as usurpers of wealth, are we?" Z asked with a broad smile, not threatening in the least.

Ifreeti didn't bother answering, she simply slipped out as soon as Flo was done talking and lied down on the roof above Kamille, resisting the urge to take a nap by distracting herself via tossing a bullet up in the air. "I doubt it. Fog shouldn't be making noises like that. There is some merit to paranoia." She rolled over the side and landed next to the other woman. "Speaking of paranoia, is this how Fleur normally operates or are we just fortunate enough to catch her in a good mood?"

"beats me, I never ask questions unless it involves the lives of innocents" she replied, "but knowing Flo it doesnt" added Kamille, as if all of a sudden Kamille swung VAR at Ifreeti only for it to hit something else and smashed it downward, whatever it was it was invisible at least to untrained eyes, Kamille unloaded a burst of shots and the intruder dodged, the intruder then became visible and lunged at Kamille with a shortsword, "Enough!" yelled Florin as she yelled at the Man in a Gas mask, "Voyeur! I should've known you were there!" she said angrily as she approached him, "Voyeur? Come on Flo is that anyway to treat an ex? At least call me by my codename Vector" said the Man in a gas mask jokingly, Flo fired a shot at him, "You know him?" asked Kamille, "he was my ex-boyfriend" grumbled Florin, "Look, I know what this looks like Flo but its not what you think it is, I came here to give you something" said the Gas masked Man, "make it quick before I freeze you and leave you to die here" said Flo, "here" said Vector as he placed a map down, "I was sent to scout the place for Opera, it's a map of an old service tunnel you can use to get to the Villa, Don't worry, I cleared it" he added, "why should I trust you?" asked Flo as picked it up and took a look, "because I like you better than Kranz" he replied, "I've been given orders to pull out since Opera is on her way" he said as he walked away slowly, he disapeared a few moments later in the fog, the group then went to the service tunnel.

as Vector left them he then received a call from Opera, "Vector, did you find the statue?" she asked, "yes, its in the old Villa" he replied, "excellent,I'll make sure to reward you later, for now report back here now" said Opera as she hung up, Vector Smiled at and started humming to himself as he made his way out of the colony.

Business as usual then. Fantastic. ifreeti wasn't bothered by Vector's sudden appeareance. She had noticed the subtle distortion, but simply didn't consider him a threat. She was quiet for a while, examining her newly acquired handgun, formerly Vector's. She was considering bringing something up, but figured Flo would just ignore her again so she simply brooded on it. Mr. Creepy entered the villa from above ground earlier, so why are we wasting time with this route? "Butler, I'm bored, tell me something interesting."

as they made their way through the service tunnel Vector was on board Opera's ship, "So did you find a way into the Villa?" asked Opera as Vector removed his gas mask, "Yes, two ways actually, through the roof and one through an old service tunnel" he answered, Vector had Graying blond hair and a tanned complexion suggesting Nasr descent, "good job, although I hate the idea of crawling though a service tunnel, you didn't happen to bump into my rival Flo did you?" asked Opera, "no" replied Vector, "then that's all, Gren! Calua! Let's go!"said Opera as she went to the lifeboats with her cronies following, Vector simply went to his quarters to get some sleep with a grin on his face.
