"I was merely looking around." She spoke with her usual blank expression as she looked at him. "Simple as that. Do you think I could really like that well?" She remained looking at him.

Rakuen nodded, "Well then, it is dangerous in these halls, please eiher go to your room or go to my room. Otherwise your life is in danger."

Garnet accepted Phase's hand and looked at him, "Hehe what are you gonna do about your arm? You're less of a fighter without it" "Shut up Garnet" He said as he glared at him. "I can use all of my ÄRM to their fullest extent so I am fine without it."

"Then I would like to see your room." She spoke as she looked at Rakuen. "Death doesn't scare me, I merely would get replaced by another."

Rakuen nodded leading her to his room which seemed fairly dull, all that sat was a throne and a few pillars on either side leading to it. "Please make yourself comfortable." he said as he sat in his throne.

Tala looked at the woman, "What...why did you help me?" "Because we all don't want to lose a Knight at this stage in the plan, I mean stage on is still going on." Tala looked at mirror and looked at the two cuts on her face, one through her right eye and the other across the brim of her nose. "I'll kill him! That bastard!"

She walked towards one of the pillars and sat down against it as she looked at the room. "Reminds me of where I grew up, before I became totally immersed into making ARMs." She spoke without much feeling to it, though there was a hint of sadness in it.

Rakuen asked, "Why can't you make ÄRMs now?"

Tala glared at the woman, "Where is he where is Garnet?" She grabbed the woman, "I don't know I just brought you here" Tala pushed her away, "I'll get that bastard!" She ran out of the house.

Kimera sat down alone, "...I'm hungry again..." He sighed, "I'll break her legs so she can't escape when I see her"

"It should be simple, I've been falling asleep because I am not currently whole. My soul and body are in two different places, and only when one is asleep is the connection even worth anything. I don't even know where my soul body is right now. I might as well just give up on whatever entered my head when my body separated." Her eyes looked awake still, her hands on her lap.

Rakuen seemed interested, "So you mean if I find your soul body, I can...you can make me ÄRM?" He got closer, "What does the soul body look like?"

Tala yelled out, "Garnet you bastard!" She passed Rakuen's room and saw that the door was open and decided to come in, "Rakuen! Garnet attacked me! Even the ÄRM maker saw it..."

Kimera fell asleep from his hunger. "Damn slave...running away..."

Rae sets Milly on the bed. "Now stay put, I'm gonna go get some dinner. I'll bring some milk back for you." She turns around to get a mask out of the cabinet, and Milly transforms. "You know, just because I look like a cat that doesn't mean all I eat or drink is milk." Rachel turns back around revealing that this mask is a little more decorated than the previous one with features similar to a cat embossed on it. "Nice mask, can I have one like it?" He pulls his own cheek. "Of course with a face like this I'm not sure that would be much of an improvement. What do you think?" Although he couldn't see the way she was reacting he felt that she was trying very hard to calm herself. "Anyways, if I go as a cat, can I come eat with you, please?" He changes back to the brown cat and meows cutely as Rachel lets out a long breath beneath her mask.

"Fine, you can come. But you're going as a pawn." She takes out her old pawn uniform and tosses it onto the bed beside him. "I'll be outside while you dress." She exits as he changes and starts to dress. "It's not like I'll be getting undressed or anything." Says he as he pulls the cloak on. Apparently Rachel had been promoted to rook at a fairly young age. Because he was rather small and it fit almost perfectly. He puts the mask on as he exits the room. "There, how do I look?" Rachel looks him up and down he hadn't bothered to cover anything but his face, so the cat ears were clearly visible. "Definitely an improvement."

"You know Rae, I have just one complaint about this uniform." "And what's that?" "No tail space." "You can cut a hole in it later Milly." "You're acting differently." "Am I?" "Yeah, earlier you couldn't even breathe, and now we're having a conversation." "Oh, that. It's because the uniforms pawns where are all the same, so it's hard to tell if it's a guy or a girl underneath, and your build is similar to a little girl's too." "Hey!" "You sound a little bit like one too." "Alright, now you're just asking to get clawed."

Something in one of the rooms they pass catches his attention. After waiting a little bit, "Ah, excuse me, but I need to go to the litter box." He dashes off back the way they came, leaving Rachel at the doorway to the mess hall. He finds the room again easily enough, but ducks around the corner when he hears another approaching. This person wasn't too careful about closing the door either though. He transforms and slips into the room as a black cat. An ARM maker? Here? Seriously?

"No, only legends can receive ARMS from me. You have to earn the twenty jewels, and that itself is no easy process. I don't know how they come into my hands or when they do. Either way...even if whole, I can't make ARMS for people without that distinction." She spoke, her blank expression slipping only slightly.

Rakuen seemed angry, "What?!" He was ready to break something and Tala got infront of Agatha, "If you hit her she may not make you ÄRMs, just bear with it for now..."

Garnet and Phase were walking to the dining room of the castle, "There's always Pawns in here..." Garnet nodded, "They do nothing but fail us and they eat all the time"

"If I could, I would. If I could...I...I..." Her body fell down, her eyes going half lidded. "The connection fell..." Her eyes shut and she was asleep again.

Luna woke up, sighing. "The connection...we're too far away..."

Hm, things are getting interesting. I wonder what she meant by connection. No time to wonder now unfortunately. I'll just have to find her again later, and ask her then. He slips out of the room and starts towards the dining hall, changing back just before coming into view of Garnet and Phase. After entering the dining hall he scans the place for Rachel. Considering the number of pawns in the room it wasn't hard to locate the only person eating alone.

He sits down in front of Rae. "Sorry about that." "It's fine." She glances at his paws. "Milly, did you wash your hands?" "Ah, sorry I didn't want to keep you waiting. I'll go wash them right now." He chides himself as he's leaving. Stupid, I'm supposed to be one of the best thieves in the guild and I can't even remember one small detail. He hits Phase with the door as he tries to leave. "Ah, I'm sorry. I didn't see you there."

Phase grabbed him, "Hey Garnet, killing one Pawn won't get me in trouble right?" "Well...Rakuen is already pissed at me... And he did apologize" "Doesn't matter!" He grinned as Garnet looked around ignoring both of them and looking for a place to eat.

Tala picked up her body, "I'll take her back to her room okay?" She said as she left, leaving Rakuen to think ...Is Tala trying to get the magic stones? Maybe she wants the ÄRM for herself...but Tala was always been noble to me.

Rachel stands with a start. Crap, Millintica, why couldn't you have pissed off a dozen rooks. Or old man winter. I can't get you out of this one.

Not good, not good. Looks like he's already in a bad mood, and I just happened to be the unlucky one. "Please don't kill me, I'm very very sorry. Isn't there anything I can do that'll get you to let me go? I'll do just about anything. Just please don't kill me, I'm allergic to death." There's no way he's gonna let me live, so easily.

Rachel walks up to Phase and removes her mask. "My apologies lord Phase, but he's not actually a Pawn. He was just trying to avoid the stares. He's kind of sensitive about his appearance." She pulls off Milly's mask, and he's partly smiling and partly baring his fangs at Phase. And thinking, Rachel I pray that you have a plan. If I get out of this I'll almost never disobey you again. Rachel continues, "He's actually Rook level, an upper tier Rook actually in terms of strength. He had hoped to get an actual rank later this day when things weren't quite so busy."

Phase took out a bracelt and Garnet shouted, "Not now Phase! Killing a pawn is nothing, using an ÄRM in this room is stupid and you know it." Phase sighed and threw Milly across the room, "Fine...what are we going to eat?" Garnet smiled and looked to Rachel, "Phase you've apparently never eaten with a Knight, you can eat anything." He let Phase eat as he walked to Rachel, "I thought you didn't like guys, and you protected your friend." He smiled, "If it was Lilly, I'd have let Phase kill him, of course though not with a Guardian ÄRM."

Where the body had laid, five jewels lay there. They seemed to glow towards Rakuen, as if telling him they were his.

Luna used Andata, seeing Kimera as she placed food near him, leaving back to her room again.

Rakuen picked up the stones and looked at them, "This means I only need 14 more." Although his face was hidden by his mask, it was obvious he was joyed.

Tala placed her on her bed, "...Rakuen appreciates you more than me...and I've done more than you've ever done for him." She left the room, continuing her search for Garnet.

Kimera remained asleep for a while, although the smell of food woke him up. By now the food was getting cold, but he ate it nonetheless, after all he was starving. "...It's cold....but I'm so hungry." He had not even taken the time to think that the food was drugged or poisoned. Not even the thought of how he might have acquired the food crossed his mind.

Rachel releases a long sigh before addressing Garnet. "Like I said, he's not a pawn, and he was placed into my care. It can be, difficult at times, or rather it is quite draining on my faculties, but I must follow orders." She bows her head to Garnet. "And I must thank you for doing what I could not. I am indebted to you, but if you would excuse me. He should probably go get some rest." With a curtsy she walks over to Milly, tossing the mask into his lap when she gets close. "You feeling alright?"

Milly looks up at Rachel from the floor. "I think I sprained my tail." Says he sliding the mask back on as he stands. "So, where to?" "We need to see the good doctor. I don't have much of an appetite any more." Says she with a glance at Phase. "Heheh, yeah same here." He takes a step, and nearly falls catching onto Rachel. "Looks like I sprained more than just my tail."

Rachel takes a deep breath as she helps Milly walk out of the room. Alright, it's just a pawn. A pawn that looks like a young girl, with cat ears and a tail. Once they get outside the room Milly's weight disappears from her shoulders, and she hears a purr and a whimper. She looks down at Millintica. "Couldn't you have done that earlier?" All he does is whimper some more and hold up his back right leg. "All right fine." She picks him up and carries him back to the room.
