RF1: pretty much gave up on the star wars franchise, I've been analyzing the whole thing closely and I finally noticed: There are absolutely no form of actual tactics, what kind of idiot soldier disembarks from their transport and go guns blazing ON AN OPEN FIELD! This isn't the napoleanic wars people! And I don't care what people say, Long range beats Short range, so just because some space knight has a laser sword DOESN'T mean he or she can take on squads of soldiers armed with ranged weaponry! The only time melee beats range is when the melee fighters outnumber the ones with range!(Lookin at you Zerg and Caeser's Legion) But noooooooo........

RF2: I hate western card games, no, not the gambling type, the ones where you have
Monsters and magic variety, I find the pictures very unappealing.

RF3: some random kid in the park saw me watching Kill La Kill on my phone said that someone my age should be watching the Simpsons, I simply shrugged at him and went back to watching, I learn more life lessons in watching anime( Although I enjoy the humor in Archer IMMENSELY because pain and suffering is funny to me).

So far to my knowledge I think the only time I have seen people with guns beat or at least be on an even playing field with people with lightsabers is in Star Wars The Old Republic. Other then that there is a reason why Star Wars is the trope namer for "Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy". Anyone who has went to the Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy can't for the life of them hit any accurate shots. This is worse when the main heroes are involved.

@Zaseo, I am also dissapointed in a lack of actual tactics in Star Wars, and besides, fighting guys with guns in close quarters is a terrible idea unless you're a pretty good knife thrower, I mean look at the Boxer Rebellion, they though that their years of training and chi would win, obviously Firearms won, when Filipino natives tried to fend of spaniards armed with Guns, look how well that turned out for us, and of course when African savages tried to fight the British colonists, we all know the white man won.

*drops and shakes head* In today's wars, the one who knows stealth and how to use a knife has the best chance. There is WAY too much technology, that the situations have almost reversed, as guns seem to give a false sense of confidence and victory. The first step is knowing oneself before knowing ones tool of choice. As I have been known to say, a knife is NOT a weapon. It is a tool. Your body is a weapon, and by making the "tool" a part of your body, you thus learn to understand and control it so much better.

While yes this scene is sadly true, its usually only true for a situation that is an open field.
However, look at the Greeks for example. Spartan Soldiers learned how to create a strong defense against ranged weapons. Once they were close enough, they had a very clear advantage. Same thing goes for tactical ops, silent and deadly.
And as for Star Wars, I can't help you there...
Anyways enough of that,
If anyone has any suggestion for what type of tablet I should get for taking/editing notes for class please let me know. Right now I am planning on getting a Galaxy Note 10.1 or an Asus Transformer. I plan on getting one refurbished off of Amazon or Ebay since I am poor college student.

I need something for notes. Teachers don't appreciate laptops, that much. My friend has an iPad and I have an iPod touch, just not a huge fan of Macs anymore.

I don't like Mac's either, but an Ipad is better since customer service for apple is great, unless for some idiotic reason you decide to Jailbreak it, besides, most internet support is for IOS over here rather than android.

I'm often stuck in a loop of only keep a certain amount of money on me. If I have too much I have to really hide it or it goes to the bank for "saving"(far from the truth). Generally speaking I keep very little money on me these days. I more or less have my dad hold on and or help me off if I need cash.

These days my primary game focus is Super Street Fighter 4, Runescape, Pokemon, and League of Legends. I do play other games but these are my main focus.

I'm simply can't wait for Games For Windows Live to die. Only a few months away.

Being celibate monk like is peaceful. Sure I would literally be the sexless socially awkward insert (x age number) male but hey as long as I have friends, anime, and video games.

Being politically incorrect is awesome. Being politically incorrect is reality or at least it is not censored for being offensive. I lurk on /pol/ too much.

While I can use many characters. I would say I preform best with Ryu and Oni (shotos in general) in Super Street Fighter.

It's AZURE-KITE, how could you just not see that ;D STAY IN THE LOOP. lol
Well, you were the only one who cared enough to ask, so i might as well just tell you directly XD She's not a well-known member, less than 300 posts and most of them in the "Listening to" topic, so i don't think anyone would be able to guess. But she's a really wonderful girl, and i've actually known her for a couple of years now c:

Also, your project that will spy us all when we shower actually sounds VERY complex and difficult; as an engineer i can admit i have no idea how i'd be able to do something like that 'XD Mostly because i have absolutely no knowledge in how a satellite works (the circuits and power supply and everything inside anyways), let alone build one D: Though i suppose i would be able to understand a couple of basic physics...at least >3>; lol

I really like Star Wars u3u...
Kaori wrote:RF2: I hate western card games, no, not the gambling type, the ones where you have

AND THE SIMPSONS U333333U

Though to be fair, i agree on everything you said about Star Wars. If you view it on a militar, tactical or even logical point of view, it OBVIOUSLY sucks, as the movies aren't meant to make sense about how a SINGLE little dude with a shiny blade can take down ARMIES of soldiers with laser machine guns that can kill instantly, and those soldiers apparently being clones of the BESTEST AND DEADLIEST MERCENARY EVER, or even just WHY entire empires and nations would just send all their best spaceships directly against each and gamble to see which would survive without any single strategy ''XDDD Heck, the Death Star itself is IMMENSELY ILLOGICAL in even how it was made and its main weakness and that's often parodied so much XDD
But the core of Star Wars' story isn't just how awful they were on strategical combat, but about the meaning of the Force, how it's interpreted, learned and used by all the different factions, the whole conflict between Jedi and Sith (that in the beginning there are actually nothing but Siths and they were good), and the development of all the characters, mainly Anakin of course but in the "extended" universe there's like 50+ characters worth mentioning XD And the 1 vs 1 fights can be VERY epic and it's basicly like a duel of martial arts with PLENTY of strategies and tactics, but the only long-range weapon being the Force (which is basicly telekinesis but getting complex enough it represents the spirit of oneself and can even heal and do awesome shitz), and not really involving warfare on the level you're talking about o3o
Kaori wrote:@Brin, just save up for an Ipad, IOS has Infinity Blade, unless you want shovelware and lousy knockoffs, get Android then.
AND I LIKE ANDROID TOO AND CAN'T STAND IOS BECAUSE OF ITS CONSTANT LACK OF CUSTOMIZATION AND WIERD FUNCTIONS NO ONE REALLY USES DDDD;
zaseo wrote:Being celibate monk like is peaceful. Sure I would literally be the sexless socially awkward insert (x age number) male but hey as long as I have friends, anime, and video games.
And your way of thinking and living and all is so very well and respected, but still, you shouldn't deny the occasional blowie every now and then. Jussaying, even monks deserve some love every once c; lol

....And i got nothing else to say o3o Just replying to stuff. It's been like 3 days since my last post too so there's not really any new RF to add XD I guess just that i've had the busiest and MOST tiresome week i've had in my job so far, though i was already warned that February was going to be the most intense month and now i can see they weren't lying, but even with that i had the chance to play some more Plants vs Zombies and get the Golden Sunflower trophy thingy >3> I was just missing the last Survival Hard level anyways. lol

Well, I went with a TOSHIBA EXCITE WRITE! Cause it was refurb from the factory FOR $237 WITH EXPIDITED SHIPPING AND A WARRENTY INCLUDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These tablets have only been out for a little while so, I'm freaken excited for EXCITE WRITE! Honestly, Toshiba products have been the best to me out of anything. I mean I have a 5 year old laptop and a 17 year old laptop, both Toshiba, both run great!

Well, so far from I can tell the "team" isn't very well organized or setup, as seeing they have failed all of their preliminary tests... I mean really, they are buying everything premade and they have the nerve to say Aerospace engineers are not that great :|, seriously, I'm the only actually making something from scrap! After I design and test it on the computer, I then have to write the code to 3D print it, and then retest it, cause if there are too many impurities in the metal and so on, well there goes that..etc etc etc... But anyways, this just means that I get to show of my L33T SKEELZ AND STICK TO THE OTHER ENGINEERS! AE'S FOR LIFE!

[/quote]

looks like I'm making friends with your dad, and my parents give their dogs treats for every holiday too!

So, here is a random fact to explain a random fact.
While nobody probably cares, I went with the Excite Write because, 1, it was WAY cheaper and WAY better specs than anything I was looking at, 2, the Asus Transformers/Lenovo Yoga/Other Tablet/Netbook all have one very common problem. Their docks are HORRIBLE notirous for cracking the screens :/ of course they also haven't done anything to fix this problem either, so for the time being, I will just wait till the magnetic keyboard dock comes out later for the Excite.

RF2: I'm making American Chinese Food for Valentines Day! Orange Chicken, stir fry, beef and broccoli, Egg Drop soup, its going to be a feast for the two of us!

RF1: I'm rather pissed at people who tend to leave their status online at steam yet aren't up for talking, if they're busy they could just put it so, or say so, rather than acting like a sack of potatoes.

RF2: apparently, people don't seem to appreciate hamfisted pro-military fanfiction, they label you a north korean commienazi, which is hilarious if you know a thing about history.

RF3: now that I learned Danganronpa is out for Vita, I want it.

RF4: I'm actually rather dissapointed with so called "indie" developers on IOS, these guys put the crappiest effort in their games yet CHARGE people for them, I'm more approving to Steam because they check the games before letting them in, and let the people decide if it comes in.

well, this is actually not a random fact (more like unnerving fact)

1: I think things got pretty unnerving here in Indonesia lately. After eruption of Mt. Sinabung, now it's Kelud (it's ever more worrying by floods and forest fire actually) Though what worried me the most is Mt. Krakatau's child (or Rakata or Anak Krakatau) is getting raise in activity... I can't even think what will happen if said mountain erupts....
