So far to my knowledge I think the only time I have seen people with guns beat or at least be on an even playing field with people with lightsabers is in Star Wars The Old Republic. Other then that there is a reason why Star Wars is the trope namer for "Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy". Anyone who has went to the Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy can't for the life of them hit any accurate shots. This is worse when the main heroes are involved.Kaori wrote:RF1: pretty much gave up on the star wars franchise, I've been analyzing the whole thing closely and I finally noticed: There are absolutely no form of actual tactics, what kind of idiot soldier disembarks from their transport and go guns blazing ON AN OPEN FIELD! This isn't the napoleanic wars people! And I don't care what people say, Long range beats Short range, so just because some space knight has a laser sword DOESN'T mean he or she can take on squads of soldiers armed with ranged weaponry! The only time melee beats range is when the melee fighters outnumber the ones with range!(Lookin at you Zerg and Caeser's Legion) But noooooooo........

Monsters and magic variety, I find the pictures very unappealing.
RF3: some random kid in the park saw me watching Kill La Kill on my phone said that someone my age should be watching the Simpsons, I simply shrugged at him and went back to watching, I learn more life lessons in watching anime( Although I enjoy the humor in Archer IMMENSELY because pain and suffering is funny to me).
*drops and shakes head* In today's wars, the one who knows stealth and how to use a knife has the best chance. There is WAY too much technology, that the situations have almost reversed, as guns seem to give a false sense of confidence and victory. The first step is knowing oneself before knowing ones tool of choice. As I have been known to say, a knife is NOT a weapon. It is a tool. Your body is a weapon, and by making the "tool" a part of your body, you thus learn to understand and control it so much better.Kaori wrote:@Zaseo, I am also dissapointed in a lack of actual tactics in Star Wars, and besides, fighting guys with guns in close quarters is a terrible idea unless you're a pretty good knife thrower, I mean look at the Boxer Rebellion, they though that their years of training and chi would win, obviously Firearms won, when Filipino natives tried to fend of spaniards armed with Guns, look how well that turned out for us, and of course when African savages tried to fight the British colonists, we all know the white man won.
I need something for notes. Teachers don't appreciate laptops, that much. My friend has an iPad and I have an iPod touch, just not a huge fan of Macs anymore.Kaori wrote:@Brin, just save up for an Ipad, IOS has Infinity Blade, unless you want shovelware and lousy knockoffs, get Android then.
I don't like Mac's either, but an Ipad is better since customer service for apple is great, unless for some idiotic reason you decide to Jailbreak it, besides, most internet support is for IOS over here rather than android.BrinODea wrote:I need something for notes. And your way of thinking and living and all is so very well and respected, but still, you shouldn't deny the occasional blowie every now and then. Well, so far from I can tell the "team" isn't very well organized or setup, as seeing they have failed all of their preliminary tests... I mean really, they are buying everything premade and they have the nerve to say Aerospace engineers are not that greatTheSorrow wrote:It's AZURE-KITE, how could you just not see that ;D STAY IN THE LOOP. lolBrinODea wrote:anyways, just teasen ya, so whose your GF or do you dare not say? Well, you were the only one who cared enough to ask, so i might as well just tell you directly XD She's not a well-known member, less than 300 posts and most of them in the "Listening to" topic, so i don't think anyone would be able to guess. But she's a really wonderful girl, and i've actually known her for a couple of years now c:
Also, your project that will spy us all when we shower actually sounds VERY complex and difficult; as an engineer i can admit i have no idea how i'd be able to do something like that 'XD Mostly because i have absolutely no knowledge in how a satellite works (the circuits and power supply and everything inside anyways), let alone build one D: Though i suppose i would be able to understand a couple of basic physics...at least >3>; lol
