Sorry to burst your bubble, but a preorder is meaningless. I preordered Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess and LoZ Wind Waker before the game's titles had even been released to the public (about a year before they each were really released). They take preorders on games almost as soon as they're announced. Although I can't imagine it would be delayed by that much even if it is.

i pre-order games, just because awhile ago i went to gamestop like 3-5 days after the game was released, and they were completely out of copies due to a bunch of people pre-ordering it. (i think it was ff7: dirge of cerberus)

so now i just pre-order it to make sure there's a copy there waiting for me when i go there

yah and i hear there's some extra... "something" if you pre-order Volume 2! I think it was a .hack GU memory card or something...

I think its just a normal memory card... but with a cool .hack design!

The fact that it has japanese written on it makes me doubt that it would be included. It is cool nevertheless though.

I know it's not too big of a deal, but I'd pre-order it if I were you. The front page of dothackers.net said that Vol. 2 was the # 1 selling game in Japan, and if you don't save a cop, you won't be able to find it. I'm STILL looking for a Wii, and other games I looked for for months. Literally. I NEED my copy.

I'm quite sure I would be able to find it at my local EB Games. Its not popular enough around here to be out of stock on the first day.

I hate to burst your bubble but the .hack franchise isn't nearly as popular in the U.S. as it is in Japan. Stores won't run out of copies for a long time most likely.

Very ture. But you never know. I didn't think the Wii would be as popular as it is, and it COULD be popular, there was an ad in Game Informer, and people could possibly just get it because it was in an ad, then they beat it, then they get Vol. 2. I'm just doing it to be safe

Well, I'm quite sure its better to be safe then sorry.

For me though, it would be too much trouble.

My store ran out only before they got in so very few copies of Rebirth since it wasn't very popular according to them. I got the last one. So preordering is good even for unpopular series, because they don't get many copies.

Do you guys thinks that they will announce a special edition of this game at a later time? I noticed how there wasn't one listed on ign or gamestop. I guess were not getting the art book guys.

That is what i'm waiting for a special edition or something. if i see nothing two weeks before May then i will just pre-order the copy that is on there web-site now.

Word, good strategy. But I think I'm only gunna pre order if there is a special addition, otherwise I may as well get it in china town. EB and game stops prices can get ridiculous.

Not at all. I'm just saying that being able to preorder a game does not guarantee it's going to be released on the listed date. But it will guarantee you a copy when it does come out. Honestly, if I weren't moving in a few weeks, I'd probably run up to gamestop and preorder it myself. I guess calling a preorder meaningless was a little over the top. Sorry!
