So the last reply was about 2011. How goes it being translated?

Will it be a 25% patch?
Considering the standard dialogue is at ~20% at the moment.

Hard to say. It may be a little less, and October is an early estimate. There are no guarantees it'll be released then. We'll try our best.

If it makes you happy, we could just say yes. The exact number is pretty meaningless. There are swaths of text we're counting that aren't even displayed by the game, and as I mentioned before Infection was only at about 85% when it was released in America. It's not a very useful number. Playability is probably a better metric.

I'll be happy, no matter when it comes. I'll start a whole new save in order to see all the new translation. No matter what anyone says, you guys are epically awesome

I finally gots around ta trying this new patch method an I gotta say it is a whole lot simpler! Its also led to an overal lower filesize to boot! On the downside all the game crashing bugs are still there, including the game ending Atoli one! But 2 outta 3 potential postives is still a win! Nice work!

Been awhile but I noticed a couple more misc. translation aside's here~

http://i.minus.com/iizDwbOeVbbks.jpg - Could abbreviate them two long ones as Crimson Knight's HQ and Brigade's @HOME to keep 'em within the spacing.

http://i.minus.com/if4eqGepnOcOn.jpg - I always thought this one was weird cause this suite looks just like Saika's room we see in the cutscenes an stuff but in the patch ya called it "Ayaka's Room"? According to the game and wiki 綾香 is Ayaka and 彩花 is Saika which is whats listed in the text here.

not sure if this is off topic, but - Re-birth disc (packaged with Zettai Houi .hack//Link)? will it see a sub ever? Has a group already subbed it? Whats even on it? I figured I t was like the terminal disc, but on a broader .hack// scale. I cant even view mine b/c I don't have blu-ray. Also, I see no traces of information on the Re-birth disc on teh webs. >_< frustrating

It's just kind of a montage, there's absolutely no new information. It's really not worth subtitling. There are more interesting things out there like the .hack//Welcome to The World DVD from TGS 2001 that I would subtitle first, and even that doesn't have a lot of new content (although if you ever wondered where the US Liminality easter eggs got that picture of the keyword system used in Fragment, it came from that DVD).

More interesting than either of those are the books included with the Quarantine Pack, and I've translated that information in the Link forum.

When it's ready.

The October release date was simply an estimate for the earliest time possible given good conditions, ut since we've been busier than expected, this October date didn't happen. Early 2014 is more likely.

The timeline in the first post of this thread has given the date as "2013" for a while I believe:

v0.2 - "Mirage Mutation" - Coming 2013
This patch will incorporate the emails and dialogues that are bridged by "narration" in Shadow Signs. More boss battles, more system text, and more key scenes will be translated. Some sidequests will be translated. Known errors in Terror Infection will be fixed. The first few chapters of the game will be completely translated, and using just the patch you will be able to follow the main story from beginning to end without more confusion than if you knew Japanese.

As soon as we accomplish these goals we will be gleefully releasing.
