MAROMI YOU ****!
I think you said something wrong there :D
So, if you don't end up getting the Special Edition with the figurine, you won't be getting the Terminal Disk.
This shouldn't be true unless the pre-orders empty the stock everywhere.
The special edition isn't supposed to be limited. It's just that i you pre-order the special edition from eb or gamestop, you get the figurine with it for free.
The terminal disc will always be attainable by buying a special edition, but the figurine will only be the pre-orders of it.
I refer to the pre-orders of the special edition as the limited edition. I suppose that might've brought up some confusion.

As soon as the game is out (or their stock of the figurine has run out i suppose), they'll most likely change their "Dot.Hack G.U. with Exclusive Figurine" to something along the lines of "Dot.Hack G.U. Special Edition" or "Dot.Hack G.U. with bonus disc".

I know what you mean, but I really don't think that's how it's going down, according to what Glazebrook had to say. The Special Edition of the game will be a limited print. From the picture, it looks as if the Special Edition package is specifically made around the figurine, also. The bundle you get with the Special Edition is the figure and Terminal Disk; that's that. There won't be a separate edition once the figurines are sold out, with only the Terminal Disk. When, and if, the figurines sell out, the Special Edition will have sold out. It's one package.

It says nothing about the figurine being a pre-order bonus in the description. It just says, "The limited run of the Special Edition will include an exclusive Haseo action figure, complete with detailed weapons, and the exciting Terminal Disc." The pre-order customers, obviously, have first shot at getting the Special Edition. However, if it doesn't sell out from pre-orders, and it won't, the Special Edition will retail normally, with the figurine, Terminal Disk, and such.

I'm pretty sure this is the case, since I specifically mentioned the figurine when I asked Glazebrook about the whole confusion.

...that sounds pretty stupid of them.
Well, for both their and everyone who doesn't pre-orders' sake, i hope that's not how it is.

okay, that'll be 5 dollars minimum.

Well, like Kuukai was saying once, I don't see why Brian G. was telling us the Terminal Disk is more of a bonus than anything, and it's not necessary to play the games. However, his main focus is to attract newcomers to the franchise -- those who haven't played the original four games. I think it would make more sense to include the "bonus" disk that contains all a newcomer to .hack would really need to know with the standard edition.

Oh well. Personally, it doesn't matter to me, since I'm big on LE's, but I can empathize with impulsive buyers who might find this discouraging.

I'm surprised it will be exclusive to pre-orders, but Gamestop/EB has been doing this a lot more, as of late.
