Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
"You're a spell blade as well," Zorlo said with a laugh as he looked at the bolts that, for the most part, had harmlessly been deflected around Zorlo by the deflection Smite Evil had given him against Krieg's attack. THe paladin's partially frozen body shifted as he held his hand with his shield over the blade of his sword and whispered, "Goddess, light my path against this blight." When he finished speaking, flames burst to life around his sword and quickly began to melt the ice he was encased in. "Sun Metal," he said, pointing the sword at Temper and then at Krieg. "You shouldn't underestimate how crafty a Paladin can be. Sir Rain, I'll entrust that SPell-Blade to you. Be careful, he can fire cones of frost, so he may be a sorcerer with draconic lineage," the Paladin stated clearly as he rushed towards Krieg, his sword aflame like the burning passion of his soul. Oh Don Krieg, your last moments will be glorious.

"Thanks, on it." Neither Jenkins, nor Rinzler wasted any time. Just as he pulled the trigger Rinzler disappeared. "Seriously, there should be a limit to how many times he can do that." Jenkins noted one if the ropes moving unnaturally and lashed out at it with Asp. That's just great. He can teleport and disappear. The rope went taught just before the sword struck and he noted a soft humming grow loud, he pulled Maerlyn to the other side and sandwiched her between himself and the wall, a half second later Rinzler appeared and slashing where she had been and then moving on to slash Jenkin's in the back repeatedly. The farmboy spun, slamming the hilt of his sword into the side of Rinzler's helm. He batted Rinzler's arms, parrying the glowing chakrams as the man tried to finish off him with another barrage, while failing to land any decisive blows Rinzler did manage to knock asp away, since he had no weapon he grabbed the man, but as Jenkins leaned in for the grapple Rinzler pulled back taking them both over the side. The pirate kicked free of the grapple and teleported onto Krieg's ship, behind the battle line the boarders had formed.
Temper stuck his tongue out at Rain, "Two on one? Who fights with those odds?" Rain got struck in the back by a mace and several other cut throats surrounded both him and Zorlo, the allies at their backs having been forced to reform after the cone of cold and the bolts from Krieg. "Don, this guy seems to be copying me, you mind?" Krieg smirked, "Not at all." Lightning arced across Temper's blades as he unleashed a furious series of strikes against Rain, each one accompanied by attacks by the flanking men which culminated in a bolt of lightning striking down at Rain from the heavens.
Krieg didn't really move at all, instead several flaps opened up on his armor revealing over half a dozen guns which struck Zorlo hard. "At this range you're armor's useless, fool." When he noticed that this didn't kill the paladin outright he pulled his cloak around with one hand, revealing countless large spikes, and let Zorlo impale himself on it, although this didn't stop him from getting struck by the attack. The paladin's blade bounced off of Krieg's armor harmlessly. Don Krieg then smashed his shield into Zorlo's chest and sent him flying backwards. "I'll admit, it's been a while since anybody has actually struck me, but you're still not a threat, my armor is indestructible." Krieg threw his cloak aside and pulled out a spear that looked like it was meant to be used by a giant, which upon looking at Don Krieg one had to wonder if the pirate lord was wholly human or if he had some giant in his blood, especially when he was holding his battle spear. The men who had been crowding around Zorlo, to hit the paladin while he was recovering, backed off in a hurry. And for good reason as Zorlo found out when he blocked Krieg's spear, it exploded on impact with the paladin's shield except without the part where the spear should have been destroyed or at the very least damaged, as it was Krieg wasted no time and was swinging it around for another attack.
Krieg's second ship was more or less adrift as Mr. Purple and his men fought for control of it, but his flagship was slicing through the water past the S.S. Celt and two cannons fired from the rear of it. One struck the mast of the Celt and the other caused a cannonball to land on the deck, unlike the other cannonballs this did not explode violently, instead a yellow gas began coming out of it. Krieg's men aboard the Celt quickly pulled on gas masks, Newgate's men were not as fortunate and their movements started to become sluggish as the poison raced through their systems. "Poison? A coward's tactic." The captain said with chagrin.

Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
As the spear moved, the Paladin stared at the weapon in silence. In a swift move, the green-haired man tossed his all but useless shield away and sighed as he stepped forwards. With a thunderous explosion, the attack clearly struck the ground and caused the ship to rock. Krieg and his men hid like cowards behind their masks as he looked around from the stain he was sure he'd turned the Paladin into. Still, when he realized that nothing was where his spear had struck, he looked around, either frantic or unamused, it was hard for ZOrlo to tell.
In a flash of blades, Zorlo cut down a few lackies that were trying to reinforce Krieg's flank. The paladin began to whistle quietly to himself as air seemed to come out golden from his mouth, pushing the poison away. "Cheap tricks and sneak attacks would kill most people... but I am not most people," Zorlo said as the man swung his massive spear again. The ship rocked heavily as the spear struck something and exploded, but oddly enough, what was struck wasn't hurdled into the sea.
For the first time in a long while, Zorlo was sure, Krieg saw something most terrifying. As pieces of Zorlo's right gauntlet hit the ground with a hollow clang and his hand had been burnt, he still held the spear by the shift of the weapon and was staring with cold, dead eyes at Krieg. Had he slain the Paladin on his feet? No doubt... there was no response after this kind of thing, was there?
The only possible confirmation was made when Zorlo's sword clanged against the ship as it slipped from his left hand. Zorlo's dead eyes renarrowed at Krieg as he yanked the massive spear and spun it, using the momentum from stealing it, to thrust the weapon into the armored chest of its owner. It probably wouldn't kill Krieg, but with any luck, he'd destroy both the spear and his armor. That'd show him what's what when fighting a Paladin.

Krieg's Ship: Don Krieg, Temper, Rinzler, Zorlo, and Rain
Newgate's Ship: Edward Newgate, Jenkins, Maerlyn, and poison gas
Temper allowed the magical force surrounding him to shield him from the shockwave and knocked the falling lightning aside with his blades. "Overcompensating are we?" An inescapable bolt of force, one might go so far as to call it a magic missile, which shot from his short sword and struck Rain in the chest. "I'll admit, that is a nice piece of hardware you've got there. Not that it'll do you much good where you're going. Silpharion." The magus's blades took on a slightly more defined elegant forms, but they were no less dangerous in fact they seemed to move more quickly. Over clashing blades "Tell you what, I'll give ya one chance to join my crew under Don Krieg. You're tough enough that Don might even give you your own ship before long, you'll get a decent share of the loot even before then, and you won't even have to wear one of those stupid bandanas, what do you say? You in or do you want to die like that half-breed flailing angrily at Don?"
As the smoke cleared from the explosion of the blade against Don's chest Zorlo was looking up at Krieg's evil grin. "I told you before, my armor is indestructible." There was a scratch on the armor, but Krieg still appeared unharmed. He grabbed Zorlo's hand with bone snapping strength and picked both him and the spear up. He tossed the paladin upwards, flipped the spear around, and smacked the half-elf down into the deck with an explosive blow. "You're still alive? Your god must really hate you, but don't worry. I'll finish you off with this one." Krieg raised his spear for another strike and when it came down Zorlo was splattered with blood, but left alive. Standing above him was a figure dripping from head to foot with blood and a dozen swords and spears were impaled in the long haired crimson figure. The man uttered a few quiet words so low that only Zorlo could here him, "I hate wizards." Exclamations rose up from both sailors and corsairs as they took note of the man standing seemingly unphased despite taking a direct blow from Krieg's exploding weapon. Murmurs of someone or something called Bloody Shanks. Krieg growled, "I don't know who you are, but a second half-dead half-breed won't help. You'll both be dying now." A gout of flames shot out from Krieg's hand, but Bloody Shanks, carrying Zorlo, had leaped all the way up to the ship's crow's nest and one of the swords that had been in Shanks was pinning the lookout to the wall. "Heal thyself Paladin, I'll soften him up." The voice was familiar but Zorlo wasn't quite able to place it before the man hopped back down to stand before Krieg, he pulled out and tossed aside a couple of spears before pulling out a short sword and picking up the Sun Blade Zorlo had dropped. "Much better."
Krieg swung and Shanks stepped inside of the man's reach and struck against the giant spear repeatedly, unfortunately he was caught seemingly unprepared for the backswing and was thrown nearly off the ship, hanging on by jamming the blades into the ship's railing, but the explosion also had the unforseen consequence of sending the top half of the spear sailing overboard in the opposite direction. Shanks hopped back up and was greeted by a shout and gunfire from Don Krieg. The bullets broke off parts of the weapons impaling Shanks, but it was hard to tell if any landed actual hits. A red blur rushed Don and rose about five feet above him with a slash that shattered the short sword. "You may have broken my spear, but this armor truly is indestructible. HAHAHA you still haven't realized it, I am IN-VINCE-I-BLE!" "This one feels like adamantite." Shanks pulled a bastard sword from his abdomen and swung the sun blade as he fell down, cutting through the net Krieg fired up at him, and he followed it up with a slash from the bastard sword as flames shot up to meet him. The reflected flames were distorted by spiderwebbing cracks in Don Krieg's armor. Don Krieg struck Shanks with a right hook that sent him rolling across the deck and into the railing. He chucked the bastard sword in Zorlo's direction and it caught Rinzler in the chest as the acrobatic fighter tried to finish the paladin off, the momentum carried him off the ship. "Nobody kills my nephew but me." Shanks seemed either unable or unwilling to move from where he landed so he threw the sunblade within easy reach of the paladin. "You're up kid." Krieg towered above Shanks eyes white with rage at having his armor shattered. While this made his already superhuman strength rise to even greater heights the only apparent weapons he now had were his fists.

Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
When Shanks had dropped Zorlo off and the Paladin had heard the man's voice, he drifted off. His mind appeared floating in a familiar place. He was in the land of Archons and deities of law and goodness. ALthough his body remained where he had dropped, his mind had apparently drifted away. His whole body felt light, his armor had been mostly torn apart, and his body was ravaged with damage and suffering. He was dying, and had the odd feeling that this had something to do with it.
My dearest Paladin... here I find you... despite your great valor and bravery... still even your strength was not enough.
Zorlo looked up, barely able to see, and witnessed the blurry vision of a woman that was even further distorted by a radiant glow. "Yeah... I'm sorry about that. I did my best... but I've felt it... my powers have been drifting away. Perhaps I am truly as helpless as I've been told before."
The being shook it's head as it looked at him with sadness... or what felt like a gaze of sadness, he couldn't really tell. IT is not only you... many of those of your station have seen a decline in their powers. The advent of weaponry that will end this age of might and magic has been brought to fruition. The age of the gods is ending... and the age of man is beginning. With the help of Gnomish Magic and Dwarven Forges, humans will slowly destroy all of their foes... In due time, they may even destroy the wicked dragon that threatens humanity.
Zorlo looked up and smiled through the immense pain and bleeding out of all of his wounds. "That is true... but I have seen those of my order discard our ancient armor and weapons in exchange for the firearms for which you speak. The Inquisitors avoid using them for the sake of secrecy in assassination and the Clerics act as spiritual guides for those who drift from goodness. Even if the gods leave... they will continue to support the people as a pillar of strength. As long as people believe in goodness and law, they will fight onwards to protect people from the evil of themselves."
The woman's aura became warmer and Zorlo's eyes slowly adjusted as he pushed himself up. You continue to fight the great evils of society. You will see this adventure until its end. What will you do then?
Zorlo smiled and sat down on his knees. "WEll, I plan to see this battle to the end, then set down my armor and weapons, probably find someone to marry me... Sylvia if I can't find anyone else... and live out the rest of my life watching over the changing world."
The deity, Erastil, smiled at the Paladin as she held out her hand and rested it on Zorlo's head. Beloved Zorlo... I, Erastil, do find you deserving of a gift. You shall become a Holy Vindicator for me in order to purify this world of the last blight of the era of knights and wizards. You will attain a power beyond that of simple Paladin and become a divine instrument of destruction of all that which is evil. Be weary, though. The dark gods have created their own Vindicators to slay the few like you that we have made. Use your great power and cast light back into this world. You and your companions... you are the only ones we can depend upon. That boy... Jenkins... his place in the new world... protect him. That is my decree for you.
Zorlo looked at his wrists as they started to burn. An image of a tree with a sword stabbed into the ground in front of it appeared slowly burned itself into his wrists as he grit his teeth.
The Stigmata. The holy sign of a divine being. Use it's power and cast the evils of the world into ruin upon your sword.
"I shall... thank you, my goddess," Zorlo said as he bowed towards her and smiled.
Back on the physical plain, a powerful beam of golden light erupted from Zorlo as he slowly began to rise as a powerful surge of healing rushed over all living creatures within thirty feet of him as he knelt down to pick up his sword. Zorlo's sword began to glow brighter than ever as he looked at the Stigmata that formed upon his wrists as they started to bleed. "Krieg, I shall cast your ruins upon the remains of this ship when I am through. I am Zorlo, the Holy Vindicator of Erastil. Are you prepared?" the Paladin asked, his divine powers flowing even greater than when he had made his initial attack.
"I will not allow you, or anyone else, prevent the heroes that are my friends upon these ships from fulfilling their destiny. I am now merely an instrument of fate to protect these people until they fulfill their destiny. If you leave now and end your evil ambitions..." Zorlo said as he whispered a few words and a shield of magical energy formed before being reinforced by a very powerful layer of channeled, divine energy. "Repent yourself, Don Krieg, or be destroyed."

Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
And again, he saves me. How...? How does he protect & predict it so well...? She thought to herself as she watched Jenkins go over the edge with their attacker. Normally, she would've let him hit the deck and whatever became of him was his problem. But this wasn't normal circumstances. "Tsk..." was the only thing that came from her as she dove over after him. But as she did so, she caught movement from the corner of her eyes. Zorlo...? but who's that with him...? she thought for a moment before turning her attention to the task before her. Catching hold of Jenkins' shirt, she flapped hard, the illusion of the necklace shattering and revealing her for the Emerald-plumed Harpy she really was as she continued flapping hard to slow, then stop his fall. "You're heavier then you look, Jenkins....!" she said to him as she began lifting back upward. "Hey! Is your weapon above or below? I didn't catch where it went."
Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
He couldn't get a good look up at Maerlyn, but he knew he was flying, which meant Zorlo really wasn't joking. He knew he hadn't been, but somehow he hadn't been able to make himself believe it until just now. "Neither did I. I'll find something else to use when I need to, hopefully I'll find Asp once the fighting's died down. And uh thanks for the save, that could have been bad." He looked over the situation below, the gas was taking it's toll on the men they needed help and Mr. Black was busy trying to keep people from burning the ship down. "Maerlyn, go heal the captain the crew needs a morale boost. And, I'm sorry, but I need you to drop me. I'll come find you as soon as I deal with the gas." Jenkins took a deep breath and fell to the deck, bleeding off the momentum with a roll he wasted no time sprinting over to the gas cannonball and bull rushed it off the ship. He picked up a cutlass and cut his hand open, removing what poison had made it's way into his system and sprinted towards Maerlyn.
Don Krieg either didn't notice or didn't care about Zorlo as he reared back to punch Shanks again. The elf whipped a rope out, lashing it around Zorlo's shield and pulling it between Krieg and himself barely in time, the railing behind him cracked from the blow. "That's great and all, but I get the feeling he's not in a talking mood." A second resounding blow sent Shanks crashing through the railing and sailing overboard. The shield flew from Shanks's hands and caught Krieg in the chin. Shanks discovered he wasn't alone under the waves. Rinzler was there and so were a number of sharks, the latter of which rapidly became less interested in the man with the chakrams and more interested into the bloody buffet that seemed to be Shanks. I hate pirates.
Don Krieg either didn't notice or didn't care about Zorlo as he reared back to punch Shanks again. The elf whipped a rope out, lashing it around Zorlo's shield and pulling it between Krieg and himself barely in time, the railing behind him cracked from the blow. Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
Heal the Captain.... yeah, that's probably a good idea... "Okay. Just don't die down there, the gods forbid you make that chakram guy happy," Maerlyn replied to him as she let him go and soared off toward the giant man they called, 'Captain' at this moment. He wasn't hard to find, all bloodied up and still out fighting the enemies around him. "Captain! I'm here to help!" she called to him as she lighted onto his back. "It's just me, keep fighting," she said to him as her taloned 'hands' sent energy into him. "Be blessed by the breath that nurtures life..." she whispered as she expends a Cure Serious wounds on Captain Newgate, rapidly restoring the behemoth of a man to his former glory.
Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
The magic closed the most threatening of Newgate's injuries and he grinned wide. "Everyone stay back!" The sailors that had been standing near Captain Newgate to protect him gave him a wide birth. He swung his glaive in a wide arc, slashing everybody within reach and sending even those standing several feet away flying. Poison or no poison, with the captain no longer being forced to fight defensively the battle for the Celt was swiftly turning against the Krieg pirates.
Something grabbed Jenkin's leg but as he started to lash out he noticed it was one of the sailors, apparently dying of his injuries, poison, or both. Jenkins closed his eyes, I need to get back to Maerlyn, but I can't just leave him like this. Jenkins looked to see where Maerlyn was, made sure she was in no immediate danger, and knelt down to heal the man and the other two nearby crewmen. Their bleeding slowed and breathing eased. When he was done, Jenkins stood wretching and coughed up several stones formed of the yellow poison. For the first time since he boarded the ship he felt woozy and nearly fell over, he had never been so drained by healing before, but then he had never done so much healing in such a short period of time before either. Jenkins half leaned half fell against what was left of the destroyed mast to catch his breath, he failed to notice that his lips and chin were dripping with blood.

Rain: His blade?! damn he uses that kind of magic { he jumps back from the attack} come on you think I'd join the Pirates it sounds like a great offer but I have someone I have to Return too { he swings Ebriaclux at temper narrowly missing his neck} and I'm not gonna let you stand in my way { he goes on the offensive as a blue Rune Spear and green rune great sword appear in his hands as he stabs the regalia blade into the ground and ebriaclux disappears he pushes temper back as the two of them continue to clash the spear and great swords dissapear as purrple what looks like glowing purple mana cards appear around him as two Rune guns appear in his hands} HAAAAAAH! { he closes the gap as he fires widly landling powerful magic strikes though most are magic attacks so it bounces of of temper due to his magic force} so what if you have your magical forceI can still break through it! { as he continues to fire the cards become less and less showing that they are the Ammo for his guns and as soon as the Guns run out of Ammo he starts clashing the guns with Tempers blade} it's hard to see but { he manages to counter Tempers blade as he nails Tempers head with the side of his gun as the two break apart from their clash}
{ his weapon magic is like this app: http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2012/ ... 4o45dp.jpg }

Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
Blood coated Zorlo's sword. The blood from his newly gained Stigmata. Power flowed into the blade as it's glow changed slightly. "Uncle? You just hit my uncle... YOU BASTARD!" Zorlo said as his damaged, leather boot crushed it's way into Krieg's chest before launching the man back a few feet towards his crew. "I shall cleanse this ship of the creatures before me. Farewell, I do hope you enjoy disappearing," Zorlo said as power began to flow into his sword as blood continued to slide onto the weapon.
Zorlo's movements were faster than before. Much faster. His armor had all but been destroyed by the blasts, and he wasn't being held back by the tattered remains of the metallic armor. Blood erupted from the few men still standing on the ship that weren't Krieg. The Paladin, now Holy Vindicator, pointed his sword at Krieg and smiled at him. "You'd best get straight with your gods, Krieg. You'll be joining them soon."

Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
The force his attacks was tremendous even from her perch on his back. The wind blew at her light frame and threaten to carry her off before she wanted to leave yet. She looked him over best she could from her perch before using a lesser healing on him to take care of some of his lesser wounds. "I'll start helping the others now, Captain," she finally said as she used his next attack's wind to launch her upward into the air. Her first order of business was to invoke her Mage Armor to help protect her from shots as she began wrecking havoc with what spells she could without burning down the ship.
Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
Temper managed to cut open Rain's side while he was getting clubbed by the magical gun. Bloody Shanks? That's impossible! He's just a fairy tail. Something mothers tell their kids to make them afraid of becoming pirates. Temper spat out a tooth and grinned at Rain, although his bravery was starting to run thin as he noticed what was apparently a legend come to life destroy Krieg's indestructible armor, making that two impossibilities in one day and he didn't want to shoot for a third that would involve him dying. Especially since the spells he had memorized this morning were starting to get fuzzy, and that last knock Rain had given him wasn't helping. "You've got some interesting techniques there. I'd love to see more of them; it's a pity that I'll be ending this now. Strun." Temper hopped back several feet, the air grew thick with the power of the word. Rain's sight became blurred, and the sight of everybody else looking in Temper's direction, as a fog bank formed around him, obscuring all sight. Moments later Temper could be seen sailing away on a lifeboat and sticking his tongue out at Rain. "Try not to die! Yoltoorshul!" Temper's blades turned to flame and flew from his hands and struck the bow of the ship, near the cannons. The magical flames seemed to ignore the fact that the ship was sopping wet and burned ferociously. A black clad hand reached up out of the water grasping the side of Temper's boat and the rest of Rinzler followed. Causing the magus to laugh before a sudden wind picked up and sped the two out to sea.
Krieg gave no response except to let out a barbaric shout and swing wildly at Zorlo. The attacks were undisciplined but that also made them unpredictable and they lost none of the power, making them dangerous to both Zorlo and everything within reach including the ship itself. One of Krieg's blows struck the mast and blew a large hole in it. He followed it up by wrapping his arms around the massive treetrunk and ripped it out of the ship; he swung the mast wildly at anything and everything within reach which was practically everyone on the ship.
Between Newgate's attacks and Maerlyn's magic the Celt was cleared of Krieg pirates in short order. "Mr. Farmer, how go the other two battles?" Jenkins took a deep breath and climbed up as high as he could on the mast's remains. "Krieg doesn't appear to be as big of an eyesore anymore, although there is a bright golden light on his flagship. There's also a lifeboat with what looks to be two maybe three passengers. And Mr. Purple's group is still engaged in heavy fighting." "The light is likely our paladin friend, if he's shining like that I'm sure he can handle anything Krieg can throw at him. We have more important things to do than go chasing after a couple of pirate deserters. Let's go give Mr. Purple a hand. Mr. Farmer, soften them up as best you can. Mr. Arrow!" "Aye Captain, I'll have the rowers double time it." Jenkins lied prone and unleashed a practically continuous stream of fire.
Battle of the Celt: Won and is turning about to provide Mr. Purple with reinforcements
Mr. Purple's Battle: Unresolved
Battle for Krieg's flagship: Only Krieg vs. Zorlo and the battle between the crewmen of either ship remain unresolved the latter battle is currently tipped in the favor of the Krieg pirates through virtue of numbers, there is also a fire raging near the stores of blackpowder.

Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
Zorlo laughed as he dodged the attacks quietly and continued to plan. The warrior leapt onto the mast and smiled as he whispered to his sword as it burst into flame as Sun Metal overcame his weapon. With a quick thrust, the mast burst into golden flame as the blood dripping from his sword branched and webbed into the mast, literally tearing it apart as Zorlo ripped his sword from the mast and backhanded the Krieg with force enough to send the man stumbling back as he pointed the flaming sword at him. "You've already lost, you maddened beast. Give up and vanish," Zorlo said as power continued to flow through his weapon as he began to feel dizzy. STupid stigmata bleed was starting to take its toll. He had to end this fast.
Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
Krieg was not slowed by the destruction of the mast and returned to trying to crush Zorlo with his fists. He grabbed hold of Zorlo's weapon and pulled him into a right hook, the same right hook that shattered the mast only moments ago. The sword's flames raced over Krieg's hand so he dropped it, although that did nothing to quench the flames so he smashed his fist into the deck of the ship to try and douse the heavenly flames, to no avail, so he opted to ignore the flames and went right back to trying to crush the life out of the nearest living thing.
Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
Zorlo chuckled as he ducked under the fist again and punched Krieg in the face, causing him to stumble back as golden flame engulfed him for a second as Zorlo finally stopped the bleeding. "Oh God... that's exhausting," he stated as he shifted and picked up his sword, keeping an eye on Krieg. Perhaps using so much of his power so soon was a mistake, but he'd made good use of it. Now it was just waiting for his next opening... next opening...
Re: War of the Dragon (RP)
Before Krieg could make himself open with another wild attack the front part of the ship exploded throwing Zorlo off balance and into Krieg, who's great size and great rage kept him from being thrown off balance, and Krieg's punch became a throw. Sending Zorlo into the deep. Zorlo found himself in the middle of what almost looked more like an ocean of blood than an ocean of water. Two bright dots, one red and one orange, came shooting through the corpse filled water towards Zorlo's shining blade. Shanks moved Rinzler's second chakram over to his left hand and wrapped his other arm around the paladin, he raced for the surface dragging Zorlo up with him. "You decide to join me for a swim? I'm afraid the pool's practically empty now."
The pirates aboard Krieg's final remaining ship were quickly subdued with the reinforcements. Jenkins said uncertainly, "Captain, the other ship just exploded." "EVERYONE TO THE OARS! MR. ARROW, FULL SPEED! MEN IN THE WATER!" In spite of the damage to the prow, the ship hadn't moved that fast since Zorlo had been rowing to get them away from his fiance.
Krieg's ship continued to burn as Newgate's men pulled people aboard as quickly as possible. Although nobody saw Krieg's body so it was uncertain if he survived the destruction of his ship. After his dip in the ocean Shanks was still bleeding from many wounds but his armor took on shades of midnight blacks and blues rather than merely several shades of blood. Survivors began telling their fellows of Bloody Shanks in spite of the change in his attires shading. And there were many looks of mixed fear and bloodlust angled at Maerlyn. "Mr. Arrow, are any more of our men in the water?" "No Captain." "Tow Krieg's survivng vessel and set course for the nearest patch of land." "Captain, a word, in private?" "Very well Mr. Arrow, to my cabin. Mr. Black, get the ship in order and angle us towards the remaining vessel. Ms. Green tend to the injured. Everyone to work." The men dawdled muttering, "Is there anyone who takes issue with my orders?" Challenged Newgate, "No? Then get to your positons. Take those who are at Pharasma's gates to Ms. Green. Doc assist her however you can." The doctor was clearly none too happy about being made into the assistant of a harpy, but he was not about to disregard an order and was quick to rebuff anyone who openly disrespected Maerlyn. Jenkins was hesitant but offered his help to Maerlyn with those who were still suffering the effects of the poison, either ignoring or forgetting about his own injuries. He was getting a mixture of looks of appreciation and disgust at how his ability worked, not dissimilar to the looks Maerlyn was receiving. And Shanks didn't move from his spot on the railing. Openly ignoring how badly injured he was and people gave him a wide berth. He did however manage to find a shiny mithral rapier to play with while he observed the workings of the ship. "Mr. Blue, see to the artillery, it's likely some were damaged in the fighting." Called Mr. Black as he ordered men around.
Newgate exited his cabin, with a disgruntled Mr. Arrow in tow, "Mr. Arrow, set course for Isla de Sombra." All activity stopped aboard the vessel for a second before Mr. Arrow replied, "Aye, Captain." Shanks gave Newgate an appraising look as he spun the rapier around a finger, taking note that Newgate's condition was little better than his own. "We must be badly damaged if we're going there. What did you get me into?" He said to no one in particular.

Zorlo rested his hand on Jenkin's back and washed healing energy over him. "Don't be so quiet, lad. If you want to thank the pretty, Harpy lady, then do so. After all, it isn't like you don't have ANY chance with her," the Paladin said to Jenkins alone as he moved towards Maerlyn. "I can help you heal. After all, it's one of the things Paladins are good at," the holy knight said as he removed his Holy Symbol and began to pray quietly as magical energy danced around the symbol.
A flash of energy radiated from his symbol as healing energy washed over everyone who had been set in front of Maerlyn, and Maerlyn herself, as the Channeling of energy had been converted into a cone instead of simply an area burst. Zorlo smiled at the harpy as he stumbled back and shifted. "There, I did what I could. Good luck, Lady Maerlyn," he said, moving towards Shanks. "Uncle! You're here! But... WHY are you here? Mom and dad said you were in hiding, so what changed that? Do you have any stories to tell me? How are mom and dad? Did you bring me anything?!" Z asked excitedly as he spoke to his uncle.
