Re: Samurai Luca
Odin swung his mighty spear, repelling robots and clones alike. The power of his swings sent enemies hurtling away, generally in pieces, as the King of the Gods moved forwards. "My sons! Do not give up! We can break these humans and their toys!"
"Duly noted, father," Loki said as bullets and blasts of energy passed through his body as several clones of him appeared. "OF course you mortals wouldn't really understand... I am the God of Trickery," he said as a thick fog began to form around their base. "Time for me to have some fun at your expense," the man said, smiling wickedly as illusions began to form within their base, making it seem as if it were under attack. "Now then, destroy yourselves!" Loki cried as he fired off a number of magical energy bullets that tore through the oncoming robots and clones with even more violent strength than before.
"Enough!" Thor cried as he slammed his hammer against the ground and a powerful EMP began to fill the area. "How dare you HUMANs think you're even remotely equal to us gods?! The Aesir cannot be killed by your ilk!" Thor roared, causing the ice to crack from the impact of his hammer and the vibration of his voice. Despite his words, Thor had realized an unfortunate truth: their forces were being decimated and their response was only enough for them to regroup. They would need to inflict enough damage, but retreat was apt to be their ultimate goal, Thor realized in anger.
Luca nodded at Nephilim and rubbed Go's face with his demonic arm. "Quite a cute fella, aren't you?" he asked, smiling at him. "Anyway, miss Maya, I hate to tell you... but Z isn't sure how permanent that effect is... but I'm sure he'll figure out what can help your friend," Luca said with a smile at her as he sat down in a chair. "I should probably rest though, huh? And you as well. Sounds like you've all been busy."
Small wings tensed up as a pixie popped out from some bushes and was holding some flowers. "Hello, Mr. I'm pixie, and it's nice to meet cha!" She said, floating over and putting a crown of flowers on his head.
Zorlo looked at the pixie and moved as if adjusting glasses again. "Hmm... A pixie indeed. But how is that possible. There has never been a Fae-protected forest here... we would have noticed... which means... which means..." Zorlo paused for a moment as his eye twitched. "Something summoned the Fae here and their magic created this new boundary... consuming our base in it..." he said, stepping back to look at Setanta. "Any inquiries from you, Setanta?"
Pixie looked between the group and spun around a few times, smiling as she watched them. "You're all so weird. Talking like you've never seen a fairy before!" she said with a giggle. "STill, I'm here, and it's nice to meet you all."
"WEll... I'm Zorlo, and this is Nephilim. That man with the spear is Setanta," Zorlo said as Pixie paused and seemed to think for a moment.
"That last name sounds familiar... I wonder why. Anyway, buh-bye!" Pixie said as she floated off.

Re: Samurai Luca
New boundaries... Somehow... that idea didn't feel to far off. Especially if one were to look up at the half-black sun. Still, this was quite the development. Even with Setanta's absorption of Fae energy, their base entrance was now several meters inside what was now Fae territory and she had to wonder what this would mean for them. "I see. This is interesting and all, but it bears a problem. Even if we were here first, now that it's become Fae terrain, we're the trespassers. It may be in our best interests to leave. Rumor has it neither Machines," she looked at Setanta. "...nor Demons," she raised her right arm. "...are very welcome in Fae domains."
Nu looked over the room without much interest as she glided up to the box in the middle of the room. It wasn't all that large a thing compared to the powerfully, and huge, computer bank that took up an entire wall with most of another wall taken up by a large, dark display and keyboard that were recessed into the wall. A touch on the box caused it to grow and open to reveal three Zero Point Modules, two glowing powerfully and one dark. She gestured and the suitcase opened, a growing Zero Point Module floating up to her hands as the dark one unlocked and came to her other hand. "Analyzing schematics... Loading... Loading... Loading... Complete." The glowing Module entered the box, the entire room fully activating as Nu-13 held up the dark module. "Integrate." the module floated and aligned with her palm before entering what looked like a personal space hole in her palm that closed immediately. It would take a while and some resources to fully repair and integrate it into her systems. She paused only to "Integrate" a full clone equipment unit set before coming out and closing the portable hole. "It's done. What's the current situation?" she asked General as she glided up.

Re: Samurai Luca
The snipers attacks quickly found the real Loki as soon as they realized the heavy weapons ones were failing to hit him, and the heavy weapons clones followed their line of fire immediately. As soon as a clone dropped from the wall one of the clones within the fort took their place. The emp did nothing to slow down the mechs, despite all of the upgrades one thing never changed about Jesabell's equipment they all have electronic and magical redundancy systems, and the cannon continued hammering Thor and without his hammer he made a juicy target for the Zephyrs. The clones piloting the Zephyrs were not having an easy time with Odin and at this point they were pretty much all reduced to using their leg and forearm blades and had unloaded all of their missiles into him, but they were still going and keeping him from wreaking a lot of damage on the other clones. The illusions created a brief moment of respite for Odin, but the clones quickly realized what was going on and returned to shooting at the god. Briggs activated the speakers mounted on the walls. "Welcome to Briggs, there are plenty of places on the planet you could have gone if you wanted to kill humans. There are no humans here, only briggs soldiers. And we will ensure that you will not be leaving." Throughout the base, what under normal circumstances would have been surface to air cannons designed for aircraft and what have you, opened fire on Odin with lasers, rail guns, and focused beams of magic. Explosions erupted from underground all around the enemy fortress, cutting off all possibility of retreat for the warriors. Heavy weapons fire rang out through the clouds of debris and snow, advancing in both directions from within the clouds, penning the majority of the enemy forces between clones and mechs. At the same time several Mobys emerged from the far side of the Aesir fort, some clones had jet packs and landed on top of the fort's outer wall with explosives and blew it open for the rest of the clones pouring out of the troop transports.
Briggs pointed at the remaining two now one Zephyr engaging Odin. "If she sent you, then you're the next best thing to Max she had. See what you can do about Odin. We have the rest of their forces contained. Their trickster is a little annoying, but the snipers have true seeing on their scopes and are keeping him tagged for the heavies and Hawks. And as long as the tower cannon is active, Thor is locked down. The mechanics are working as fast as they can to get more Zephyrs operational, but for now you're probably the best bet against him."
"I disagree." Setanta said flatly. "Jesabell would not have invited them, which means they are invaders and have no rightful claim to the land." He turned to face Neph. "Her forces will be arriving within the hour to raize the forest and the fae within. Thus your suggestion of relocating would be agreeable." Setanta turned back to face the forest.

"Oh... That's nice... Just what we needed to hear," Nephilim said with a face palm as she turned back to the base entrance and kicked it, triggering the evac alarm to make sure everyone below was getting ready to move soon and quickly. "Well then, I'd say it's time to go before we get caught in a war we have no need to get caught in," she stated before a thought came to her mind. "Will you be joining us, Setanta? or are you going your own separate way here?"
"As you wish," Nu-13 replied and turned before looking back at the map. "I'd advise getting the damaged main cannon back on-line before worrying about the Zephyr. Keep Thor pinned," she commented offhandedly as she flew out and down the hallway. She stopped momentarily at a Clone/Gladiator armory to "Integrate" more things before flying out of the base and toward the Father of the Aesir. "Now releasing Restriction #666. Boundary Interruption Imaginary Number Forming. Connecting to Congenial Border... Activating Murakumo Unit V2." Power cycled through her as her armor incorporated what it could at the time directly into her systems. She got into position just in time to see Odin cast his spear, Gungnir. "Calculating... Opening Rift..." she state as she extended on arm to 'catch the spear in a portable hole the caused it to emerge fly straight down into the ice and blow a gaping hole in the ground. Where she not there, the other main cannon would've been wiped out, freeing up Thor to rampage. "You are now my target," she said to Odin as he called Gungnir back to his hand.

Re: Samurai Luca
Zorlo smiled. "Actually, this is advantageous to us. If anything, we have more incentive to stay here for a bit. Jess' army is powerful, but how honestly prepared could they be to fight against the Fae?" Zorlo asked, half smiling at the statement itself. He was already calculating their next move. It would just take a lot of luck and some time.
Luca sighed at the alarm. "Yes, rest up, she says. WE'll be fine she says... bah..." Luca said as he stood up and popped his body a bit to stand up. "Let's get to it. I get the feeling things are about to get really insane."
"I'm sorry, child, but I don't have time to play with you," Odin said as he floated up and his spear began to glow golden. "Spiritual Lancer!" he said, throwing the spear with ungodly force. Even though Nu-13 moved to intercept, the spear vanished from her interception and seemed to disappear in general. "Good attempt, but I'm not the Allfather for nothing," Odin said as powerful lances began to scatter from the earth, striking at the clones and passing straight through the other two Aesir. Odin held his arm out as the spear returned and he looked at Nu-13. "We can fight now."
"Brother, brother, brother. Or perhaps bother, bother, bother," Loki said as he continued to play games with the snipers as they attempted to shoot him down. "I'm not a god for no reason, petty humans," he said as he spun around. Loki spun his hands around as he looked at the magi-tech cannon. "Excellent, I can use that," he said, disappearing and reappearing atop the cannon. "And now," he said, resting his hand on the cannon's top and focusing. With a smile, the cannon's power began to feedback and cause the weapon to overload. "We may not be Hito-Shura, but we're not pushovers, humans!"
The Thunder God's hammer reappeared in his hand as he continued to try and repel the cannon that had kept him unmoving for the last while. He couldn't quite break the lock, but he could feel the actions of his brother and father. If nothing else, they would, sooner or later, buy him the time to counter attack.

Re: Samurai Luca
General thoguht to herself as she pulled her helmet back on, Damage control teams are already working on it. And it looks like I have to enter the fray personally. Loki got shot off the top of the cannon by a caster shell, relieving him of an arm in the process. Briggs herself jumped up from the ground with a smoking gun and landed on top of the cannon; a pistol in one hand and her sword in the other. She was clearly several cuts above even the Briggs clones and she wasn't called General for nothing. "Thank you for the overcharge, trickster." The cannon's blast intensified rather than self destructing. "Like I just said, we are not humans. We are Briggs Soldiers." She lunged for Loki, stepping out into the open air, and charging across it like it was land. "If you had gone after humans you would probably have won, but you didn't. You attacked the indomitable wall of Briggs." ((Briggs now has a character sheet.))
The lances were dangerous, but the clones managed to avoid taking too many serious casualties, and with General now dealing with Loki that freed up a lot of firepower to be poured onto Thor who was already taking a hammering from the intensified cannon, Hawks, Zephyr's, and now snipers and heavies too. The forces penned in by the Guardians and heavies was close to being wiped out. And the Aesir fort was getting swarmed on two sides by clone counterstrike team, soon they would be pouring their firepower on Thor too. The surviving clones that had been pelting Odin disappeared into Briggs's fortifications, to not get in Nu-13's way and maybe for another reason.
Setanta burst into laughter, he even doubled over despite the lack of lungs. A minute later and after several fairies had come to investigate the odd sounding laughter, Setanta stood back up. "It's like you don't know Jesabell at all, Z. The first thing she asked herself when she figured out she could manipulate magic was 'If magic is real, what other fairy tales are real?' War with the fae would be situation 5 on a very long list. She has plenty of iron, bells, and silver too the only delay between them realizing what's going on and getting here is them loading up on the anti-fairy weaponry. Not to mention a very mentally deranged male pyromaniac clone who's been waiting for an excuse to create this big of an inferno Setanta walked over to Nephilim, "And regarding your question, Luca survived the ambush that's what I promised. Now, I want to go to Antarctica. It's well beyond the reach of Jesabell's network, she believes me to be destroyed, and I'd like to keep it that way. I would not be opposed to any or all of you accompanying me, however I do not believe the rest of you would be as comfortable that far south as myself." He walked to the elongated side of the clearing and pulled ambient magical energy from the forest to construct a Hawk with a pilot's seat, to avoid drawing too much attention to himself and aggravating the fair folk he made it slowly over the course of several minutes.

Re: Samurai Luca
Nu dodged through the lances without difficulty as she shot in toward Odin, the ethereal blades of her Sword Summoner clashing with the powerful spears of his previous attack. The Gungnir returned to him as she 'swung' three of her now locked together Murakumo blades down on him hard enough to shatter the ice beneath him. Three more blades locked together to meet Odin's powerful counter and deflect it aside as she spun to continue attacking. Her remaining blades sliced around her, deflecting the attack of the Aesir forces around the two. From her strength and agility, Odin knew she would far from easy. Something was... different about her.
"All the more reason to leave then. And thank you, but I think I can safely say that we'll be staying here," Nephilim stated as she looked at the fleeing Fae folk and the forming Hawk. "Thank you for helping Luca. Zorlo, we should hurry before we're caught by either side. Or both."

Re: Samurai Luca
"Valid," Zorlo said as he looked at Setanta. "Yes, we cannot allow that woman to win again. This time, she will be defeated. Not to mention, even if she knows the legends, you never know the truth behind them or the extent of the truth," the man said as he adjusted his hood. Zorlo smiled at Nephilim. "Perhaps we should wait... our enemy isn't the Fae, and unless we anger them, they should leave us be. Besides that, we should plan for other such problems. ALthough their weapons are prepared, Jess' forces can't fully understand magic. It isn't based purely in logic."
Elsewhere, Loki had the same thought. His arm that had been lost began to overflow with magic as he replaced it. "No, thank you," he said as the severed arm appeared over the cannon and unleashed the Caster shell blast back into the cannon. "I'll give you that using Old Magic is tricky for lowly humans like Tao Masters, but I'm still a god," he said as the arm vanished and unraveled after the Caster shell had been redirected. "I must be honest, human, I like your style. Let's keep going," he said, floating around as magic began to fill the air again.
Thor's eyes began to glow as electricity exploded from his hammer and deflected the cannon as he avoided the remnants and freed himself at long last. "Dammit, that was annoying," he said as his body was smoking from the survival of the deadly attack. "This battle will not end so easily though!" Thor roared as the ground beneath him began to crack and shatter.
Odin stared at the woman as he lowered his spear. "You are impressively strong, woman. Continue to fight!" Odin said as energy began to spin around his arm as a second spear appeared in his hand, an exact copy of Gungnir as he began to strike even faster than before, keeping Nu's blades locked up as quick as he could. If he could keep her busy, his sons could continue causing chaos.

Re: Samurai Luca
Nu continued to flash around Odin and attack, her disembodied blade creating near impossible attack vector combinations as the two tore up everything around them in their clashes and deflections. "You... are powerful..." Nu-13 said suddenly as she almost air-danced around him in the middle of her swirling blades, deflecting two more strikes and retaliating in kind.
Nephilim sighed before she extended her arm to yank him to her. "Zorlo, dear... What about this?" she said as she held him aloft, know that he could easily get free if he wished. "Say that you're right and Jesabell has underestimated the Fae. And say you're right that they shouldn't attack us without provocation. What do you think would happen if we say and both come to clash on our doorstep? I'd rather we not get caught in the cross-fire of a Machine-Fae War," she said to him.

"You, my dear, make a valid point. Let's get going," Zorlo said with a smile as he lowered himself down and suddenly and hugged her. "I hadn't thought about your feelings, and for that, I'm quite sorry. Let us get some distance to make sure we don't get caught in the insanity. That would, as you said, be bad."

Ethan and Eagle couldn’t flee the building any quicker, “Hey look! He’s flying!” Eagle circled around Ethan, replying defensively, “I can fly.” “So what? You’re birdman or whatever, he’s…different.” Eagle scoffed as she transformed back in to human, “What’s that supposed to mean?” “I dunno…” Eagle punched him in the shoulder, “Jerk.” She stormed off leaving Ethan very confused, “Wait! What did I do?”
G-Zero closed his eyes clearly enjoying Luca’s petting. Maya nodded as G-Zero returned to her, “Either way, I’m sure Rose will be happy to have her arm back. Isn’t that right Go?” Go gave a quizzical look, before heading towards the exit, just as the alarm came on. “Oh no! Mister Luca, could you help me with Rose? If it’s not too much.” Rose jumped up, “Huh? The alarm is on, why are we still here?” She said, still caught in a daze. She rubbed her eyes with her good arm, and sat up. “Who’s the freshman?” She said pointing towards Luca.

I'm glad you see my point now. Apology accepted," she replied, returning the hug. "Now, Aelina and the others are probably waiting on us. Lets go. I've already finished the tunnel to the next hideout."
"The 'freshman' is Luca. And Technically, he's senior to you, though you can figure that out for yourselves," Aelina replied casually, though it almost seemed as though she was in a bit of a bad mood. She was just happy that her regeneration removed the bloodshot look from crying eyes and that she'd had a moment to wash her face. "Luca, please help them if you can while I finish 'packing' Zorlo's lab," she finished, walking another another tunnel corner.

Re: Samurai Luca
Zorlo smiled. "Ever ready, my dear. Ever ready," he told her as he opened the hatch and started heading down. "This is why there is no one I trust more than you to help me. You always have, and I'd love it if you always will."
Luca stood up and looked at Rose. "She's awake now, so unless you want me to carry her, I think she'll be fine. Anyway, yes, I'm Luca, and I'm technically your senior, as the four of us, Z, me, Aelina and Neph, were all together some odd time ago that I lost a lot of because I was thrown through time by highly improbable means. Any other questions?" Luca asked as he held his demonic arm up and noticed it was slightly twitchy. WHat in the world was going on. "Anyway, Aelina, are you sure that you don't want my help?" he asked her, turning to look at her. He was still unsure how she was doing... he knew he was torn up about how long they had apparently been apart, even though it had felt significantly shorter to him.

"I'll pray for your survival." Setanta said as he boarded his craft, as soon as it got above the tree line, it was out of sight. He didn't have to worry about g-forces so he pushed the craft to it's limit.
You talk too much. Briggs wasn't going to give Loki the chance to use any more magic nor talk her to death. She holstered her pistol and Death Blossom activated. Electricity began pulsing through General Briggs's armor as she grabbed the real Loki by the throat with one hand, drove her sword through his heart, and impaled him with an electrified spike chain. Not yet. She kicked off the air towards an open patch of land. Eight 20' tall rods shot out of the ground in an octagonal formation ten yards across. Magic arced from Loki, drained into the rods, as he got close. Briggs kicked him into the middle of the rods as she pulled out her blade and disconnected the chain, narrowly avoiding getting caught in the ensuing singularity. Loki disappeared in an instant, in his place a small dot in the center of the octagon, a black hole supported by Loki's own magical energy. "Enjoy Hel." The rods disappeared back into the tundra; Briggs shot a sonic blast at Thor to get his attention and sprinted across the sky towards him. "My valkyries have led practically all of your warriors to Odin's halls and Freya's fields. Ask, and I shall personally lead you to the one of your choosing. A choice few receive, Thor."
The building Ethan and Eagle had just left exploded. And a line of trees erupted into flame and Justin crashed through the charcoaled trees laughing, "Gwahahahaha!" He pinched a pixie out of the air and pulled the small fairy up to him, his other hand became covered in flames. "You're quite bright. How much brighter will you be when you're ablaze?"
The AA turrets fired down Setanta's unscheduled craft. The white droid, and the wreckage, crashed into Briggs's outer wall on the side opposite the fighting. The only people to really take note of the event were a handful of snipers on that side, two of which double timed it to check the wreck, in the unlikely event of a survivor.

"My, my, my. That woman is tricky. Although, to be fair, she's still not quite far enough ahead to actually defeat me," Loki said as he began to tweak the magical energy holding the black hole in place. "Too much being subtle," he said as he ripped the magical power from it, causing the black hole to become unstable. "In all of these long ages, humans still forget that gods have seen everything." In truth, Loki had little interest in this battle, he just wanted to create chaos, and sadly the remnants of the Aesir weren't enough to make using his powers for pointless destruction necessary. No, instead, he'd just cast everyone else here into oblivion.
Thor looked at Briggs and spun his hammer. "A battle against my brother is one thing, but a battle against me is another!" Thor said as he held his hammer up and arcs of lightning began to rip into the earth and pulling it apart, magic flowing from the land into his body. "A battle indeed!" the man said as he slammed his hammer against the ground, shattering the earth and sending powerful lines of electricity moving towards Briggs.

Re: Samurai Luca
The electricity rippled across her armor harmlessly. "Your powers have bled away to nothing. You are only a warrior now, no better than I." Briggs closed the gap and her sword rang as it clashed with mjolnr. He's not dead? She thought briefly as something unexpected appeared on her hud, but refocused on not getting her skull crushed immediately.
The rearmament protocol restored Setanta, and again when a pair of railguns tore into him. "Authorization code Briggs 223579CEIJQTVX." The snipers stood at attention, "Apologies Maximus, we were unaware that you would be arriving in such a fashion. The delivery has already been made by your stand in." "Add me to the grid and return to your posts." Maximus/Setanta jumped atop the wall and sprinted for the war room.

Re: Samurai Luca
A flourish of blades erupted as Odin's spears and Nu's blades crashed, lighting the sky up like the forth of July. Odin didn't respond. He was truly strong, but so was this woman. Her powers were different from the others. Even more complexly, his body, like hers, showed no sign of weakening or being wounded, despite their intense battle. Odin's nanosecond pause was abruptly ended as he vanished and his copy spear crashed against the wing-like blades of Nu-13. He hadn't felt this alive in years.
A thunderous crash erupted as Thor's mighty hammer met Brigg's sword as he put distance between the two. "Your armor may be resistant to my magic, but my might is unlike that of any weapon humanity wields." Thor paused as he noticed his brother. Thor ignored Loki as his body began to emit power as he held his hammer out. "Show me your real strength," he said as power erupted from his hammer, weakening the protections Briggs possessed.
Loki floated around, dodging attacks and continuing to avoid direct combat as the random soldiers attacked him, but to no avail. "I'm sorry, what did you all want?" he asked as the earth shook beneath the base slightly as a large ice-spike erupted and attacked the base, causing no damage. It was less to actually do damage and more to create more chaos. In this kind of scene... Loki's magics were hard to match.

Briggs looked down at the ground, "I should have known that was not exclusive to Loki." She suddenly appeared in front of Thor, one hand on Mjolnr and she smashed it against Thor's forehead with each syllable, "Get this through your thick skull. I am not a human." Grabbing Mjolnr alone was impossible for a human, regardless of armor, and beating Thor with it was even more impossible. She kneed Thor and then dropkicked him back ten yards, the god's hammer was still in her hand and Thor was unarmed. Magic and electricity charged the area around Briggs, "Do you understand yet? Or do I need to beat it into you some more? You are not facing a human, I am a soldier and your personal valkyrie." The energy in the air was absorbed by General as she took on the appearance of a valkyrie. "Your death draws nigh. Better decide soon." She stated and tossed the hammer back to Thor. A great white snake burst out of the snow behind Thor and bit into his shoulder.
Setanta was at the door, but paused for a nanosecond as he considered executing Loki, but disregarded the idea. He activated the portable hole and input a code into an invisible keypad on the large black box.

Re: Samurai Luca
"BOom!" Loki said jokingly as the snake burst into dust that began to spin around Loki. Oh this was too much fun! These tools and their pointless powers. It was all so pointless. They were all so blood thirsty and gridlocked he couldn't help but admire how pointless the continuation of their battle was. Yes, yes, he would end it soon, but for now, they would amuse him more.
Thor chuckled as he adjusted his helmet as it slowly mended itself. "Impressive. You are correct, girl, I did underestimate your strength..." he said, appearing behind her as he drove his hammer into her back. The crash of the snow from the simple impact, whether she was harmed or not, was enough to create a small snowstorm around where the attack had struck. "But you should know, only my father has Valkyries. IF you truly believe yourself one of his children, perhaps you shouldn't be fighting against me and taking over to attempt to commit patricide," Thor stated as he appeared elsewhere.

Re: Samurai Luca
Nu-13 barely flinched as she deflected the attack even as she came back with her own swipe cut a slice straight through his armor, though he was far enough back that his body was unharmed by the attack. Her attacks were beginning to come down faster as well and even more so when her last free Murakumo blades combined together to form a third sword in which to attack Odin with, increasing both attack speed and frequency.
Aelina waved him off. "I'll be fine. I've been packing it up longer then you've all been alive," Aelina replied back without looking back or stopping. "After all, I'm already packed and Nephilim never really un-packs, so this is all that's left other then your own things."
Nephilim chuckled as she followed Zorlo down. "I don't mind continuing, Zorlo. We've been together, worked together, and fought together this long, so why stop now?" she replied as they reached the bottom. "Alright, I fear we don't have a lot of time, so if you're not, I suggest doing so now while I set some surprises for our visitors," Nephilim said everyone in the room.
