You may need to install or update java
This is exactly the problem. It looks like Java is on your system but isn't in your path for some reason. The simplest way to fix that would be to go here and click "free Java download" to reinstall: http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

If reinstalling doesn't put Java in your path, do this:
1) Figure out where Java is on your system. It's on your C: drive in "Program Files" or "Program Files (x86)", in a folder called Java. If Java has multiple subfolders, just pick one randomly (I picked "jre6" on mine) and then go to the bin directory of that folder. So for me it's C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin
2) After you open the CMD window, type this: SET PATH=%PATH%;"C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin" (replacing that directory with whatever yours is, but keep those quotes: this is the EXACT text I would use)
3) Run the other stuff from the CMD window.
Okay now THAT worked, thank you, foir the help, now I can continue.

I had this problem with the first english menu patch (truthkey's I think it was)
there were a few things that I would have to do to fix that whenever it happened:
1. Hard Reset the PSP
2. Reapply the patch
3. Use an uncompressed ISO (I compress my ISOs to save space on my Memory Card, not sure if you do the same thing)

Most often though, I had to reapply the patch to a RAW ISO

Yeah, a raw iso would be best. You can find those online.

Unless you are asking for a website of where to buy the game, I'm sorry to break it to you, but I'm pretty sure it's against the rules to even talk about the support of pirating and that kind of thing.

But if you are asking for where to buy it, I bought my copy from http://www.play-asia.com/ but I am pretty sure there are cheaper places to buy it

If you really have the game, it is actually very simple to get a raw ISO.
- Insert the game into the PSP, while on XMB (let's say PSP desktop)
- Press select to display the custom menu (of course your PSP need to be in CFW), and for the line "USB device" press left until you see "UMD Disc'.
- Link your PSP to a PC with a USB cable, and you will only see an ISO, which is the ISO of the game you can copy onto you PC.
- When you're finished retrieving it, disconnect, press select again and move the "USB device" option back to "Memory Stick".

There's an issue with how the game interprets the translation. We're working on a fix, but it may require a mild rewriting of game structure to allow more space for words, or an extensive editing of the translation to fit within character restraints. Apparently the game freezes if it has too many text characters on the screen at once.

We'll try to fix this as soon as possible.

Oh, I thought I've done something wrong because I've tried many times.

Thanks, I'll keep in touch.

Pardon the double post, but version 0.1.1 has just been released, included is more dialog and an slightly easier method of patching the game, at least for those who are squeamish at the command line.

I will add something that may be useful to other dothackers: If you're on Windows 7 64Bit (or any other 64bit systems actually), be sure to install the 64Bits/x64 version of Java.

Without it, even if you got the x86 (32bits) version of Java installed on your system, it will not work.

EDIT: The missing parts I had during the intro are gone, and I was able to play the first hour easily... I can't thank you enough for this. I really can't.

Actually with the new release the new batch script looks for the 32 bit version of java if you are on a windows 64-bit machine, in addition to the 64-bit version. Or at least it should.

Isnt the entire storyline suposed to be transmated? because I ran into s lot of early story line in japanese, But I am unsure if that was intentional or if it was deemed uninportant.

See the schedule (first post) :
v0.1 - "Terror Infection" - Coming October 2012
A basic main story patch that covers all the manga scenes and FMVs, and enough conversations for you to understand the gist of the major plotlines. Game text, emails, and non-essential events in the main story (even some Schicksal bosses) will probably be excluded. Basically the same thing as Shadow Signs but playable, with 100% of the animated scenes included, and with better editing.

As far as I know, there are 3 CFW in 6.60 : PRO, PROMOD, and ME. Sometimes, plugins are not compatible with some CFW.
I've never had any trouble the PRO version, and the latest version (6.60 PRO-C1 fix3) let's you play online with adhoc only games (.hack//LINK included) if you have a PSP-200x or newer.
Now i use the version you use and it works^^. But i cant understand why it hasn't worked with the lme version :/.

Oh and many thanks for the fix that the fmv's are transalted too ingame^^.

It wouldn't work on my 64bit Windows 7 with just the 32bits version installed, Command Prompt was always saying that java wasn't a valid command... Fixed with the installation of the 64bits version in addition to the 32bits version installed.

With what you're saying, I guess you need the 64bits versions for Windows 7 to understand that you can run Java, and the 32bits version to actually do the stuff ?
