She jammed the azure blade into the ground and placed her hand on the hilt after a moment she returned it as the team was called. "Do you need help getting there, young one?" She offered he shook his head no and quickly chanted. "Though the wind is swift, the light is my ally and so I travel at it's side." When he finished there was a lightning bolt that shot off from where Beaux had been standing and landed next to Kazuki. Beaux was tying the blade's ebony sheathe to his side as he appeared. "I'm ready."

Beaux and all of the other dragons felt her before she came into view. Garage was clearly absolutely alarmed that he hadn't sensed it before. "Getting blind in your old age, Garage?" Jibed Revy, the man simply sat there grimfaced. "Relax, we knew there were some who could hide themselves. Beaux will deal with it soon enough." Tasha's reaction was more of being fidgety than anything else. This did not go unnoticed by the other dragons, but they attributed it to the same sensation they were feeling.

That's that's mine, isn't it? Thought Tasha as she stared at the spot where the woman with the dragon souled weapon stood. "Despair." She said softly, Revy glanced over at Tasha and nodded grimly. "I thought Kale and I had rid us of him already." "As did the rest of us, he's more resilient than we thought it seems." Said Garage in response to Kale. "Beaux can handle it, right?" Tasha asked looking from one dragon to the next, her eyes resting on Lua's hidden face the longest. The only one who responded at all was Lua who turned her head to watch the fight.

Beaux took a deep breath and his skin became blue and scaly. "Is dat not vor ved dragon mode, Eugene?" Kale glanced at Luck and then back to the arena. "No, he's perfected it and made it his own. It's his blue dragon mode. If he's using it then he must know just how dangerous this person could be. He wouldn't use it otherwise." "I see, and vhy not?" Seth stares at his teamates "Where's my challenge?" a guy in a robe approaches Seth, hos hair was white, eyes green, skrawny "okay I guess you are my fight?"

Beaux and Roana stare at each other as the others begin. "So, you going to start first, half-breed." "Well, I thought I'd at least try to be a gentleman and let you have first strike, blood-traitor." "That's not a very nice thing to say." "Do you deny it?" She simply smirks and launches at Beaux. The force of the blades clashing forces Beaux back a step. She smiled and then frowned, looking down they both saw black acid landing upon a barrier of lightning that sprang up before it could land on Beaux's clothes. "Surprised?" "That won't save you for long, whelp!" Gritting his teeth he pushed her back and nearly sent her flying across the stadium. A ravine appeared in the arena ground as Beaux rushed at Roana, dragging his blade along the ground. The force of the blow sent Roana flying into the air where she stopped, smiling. "What's wrong, can't fly?" "Despair, give up now and I won't destroy you." "Hmph, overconfidence was your father's weakness too." "What do you know!?" Beaux appeared above Roana and brought an arc of lightning down with his blade.

One of despair's eyes widened and absorbed the lightning as Roana blocked the attack. "Thanks for the snack. I look forward to consuming the rest of you." Black flames erupted from Despair and sent Beaux flying upwards. The lightning barrier had protected him from the brunt of the attack and he began chanting a spell as quickly as he could as he tumbled upwards. "Oh no you don't!" A jet of black lightning flew from the girl's fingertips and struck Beaux in the heart. A wave of fire followed after which Beaux batted aside with the back of his hand, now covered in black electricity. A screech could be heard from Despair as acid flew up now but it once again dissolved on the lightning barrier. Black markings covered his forearms and he shot down and smashed Dannern into Despair. The thunderous exchange sent the girl crashing down into the stands. Beaux landed next to her. "Don't try to zap the Lightning Emperor, it only ever backfires." Despair's laughter could be heard and as the girl stood, bloodied and broken yet still moving. "You think I was trying to electrocute you with that? Oh no, I have something much better in mind." The injuries on the girl healed up and Beaux suddenly fell to one knee, breathing heavily. "Surprised? I'll explain I made it to where damage to me would be transferred to you and vice versa. The real fight starts now, fortunately for you that's the only time I can use it, as I am now. So you still have a chance to win."

"This is bad isn't it, Beaux can barely breathe at the moment because of that dirty trick. How can he hope to win? Shouldn't he just fall back and let one of the others finish up for him?" Said Miria. "A ranger does not break away from combat." Commented Ladd without looking at the woman. "But that's stupid! He's going to die. Kale, make him come join us." Kale simply sat stone-faced. Roana's blade was in the ground and as she looked behind her she coughed up blood. "Wh-what did you do?" "I slashed you, about fifty times. It's going to take a moment for your body to fully realize the amount of damage it's sustained." She began slashing at Beaux madly, each time it seemed like another slash appeared on her body, throwing off the next swing. At the end of it she was in a heap of her own blood. "Just give up Despair and I'll have my dad fix you up." "Give up? Heh, you must be joking." The black lightning appeared between them again and once again Roana was healed and Beaux had a whole new set of wounds. "You-" "Me, what? Are you getting mad because I lied? All of war is deception. Think your enemy has a weakness and it becomes his strength." Roana began slashing at Beaux again, forcing him back and up the stadium seats, acid flowing like water with every stroke. Some breached the lightning shield and dissolved parts of Beaux's clothing and Dannern was starting to become covered in it too. Beaux could feel his partner burning. Looks like I'll have to use the Frozen Phoenix after all. 'Yeah, I'm not sure how much more of this I can take. And you're not exactly in top form either. You sure you can do it?' Like I got a choice? "Your eyes, what's wrong getting angry that you're losing?" "Who's losing? I just can't believe that someone as weak as you is forcing me to go this far." "Big words, salamander. Let's see you back them up." Ice began forming as Beaux prepared for his next attack. "Get ready to face Tiamat, Despair." Seth rolls out of the way and fires bullets non-stop except loading after bullets were out The spell caster creates a bubble out of flames melting all the bullets shot at him Seth loads his last clip of bullets and wastes them by shooting into a flaming bubble "Alright, nowthat i got those all finished..." Seth's glove glows a bright red and an ammo clip also glowing red comes out, than another for the other gun "Let's see you stop these." Seth fires, a bullet shoots out leaving behind a red streak that lasted about half a second, it pierced the flaming barrier and the flames stopped revealing the man who was now bleeding with a hole that could be seen through "Damn... that was interesting, what was that?" The man chants a few words as the bleeding stopped, the wound turned into a scar, he chanted something else, a dark hole was opened in front of seth and was pulling him in "It's nothing you could comprehend!." Roana lashes out at Kazuki, but he's already gone. "Stupid brat." "Hey, we're your opponents, not him." Roana looks back as Beaux lowers his body and brings Dannern back. "Frozen Phoenix!" There's a screech that echoes throughout the entire stadium as Beaux slashes upwards Roana leaps backwards and moves Despair between her and Beaux, to little effect. Despair and Roana both see the apparition of a blue phoenix coming at them and then bursting through Despair. Anyone watching couldn't really see what Beaux did, to be honest for this particular move he just trusts in his body to do what it's supposed to. He was suspended in the air above Roana by ice wings that had protruded from his shoulders and blade. Roana tried to move but only now realized that her entire lower body was covered in ice. She tried to cut through it with Despair, but the stub of a blade that was left didn't do much although the black flames and acid were working wonders. "Still alive I see, Despair." "Like this oversoul wyrmdung you kids are using would destroy lord Despair." Said Roana defiantly Beaux just laughs. "What's so funny?" "Oversoul? Is that what you thought that was? I'm sorry, but no. You didn't push me that far. All you got to see there was Frozen Phoenix Alpha." Roana's eyes widen and she stops trying to cut herself free, "What?" "A swordsmanship technique, I realize it's a nigh impossible thing to come across in this day and age, considering the wonders of guns, but I do actually know what I'm doing with this katana, even if I have been going half-hazard and only using one hand for most of this." By this point Beaux's hair has turned completely blue and is standing on end. "I suppose, I could show you oversoul. Since you did survive alpha, I've got to give you some credit, even if I am in this poor of shape. Dannern, let's go." Beaux lands in front of Roana and grips his blade with both hands.

"Over SOUL!" The ice covering Dannern turned to water, but did not drop instead it reformed into a chinese dragon. "Tell me, what do you know about Seiryuu?" "The ancient blue dragon? Member of the first council? Around since before even the dragon kings? That Seiryuu?" "Yes." "No, you don't." "Yes, we do. Seiryuu Deluge!" All of the ice close to Beaux turned to water and flowed with his slash, and more water seemed to come from nowhere and rush over Roana and Despair and carried them down to the bottom of the stands. Afterward Roana and anybody else caught in the attack were drenched and Despair was nowhere to be seen. Roana blinked the water out of her eyes and looked around, "What's going on? Where am I?" She stood hastily, spotted Kale, and ran to him in tears. I guess she was just a lost wyrmling afterall. 'It seems so.' Luck whistled and waved to Beaux, gesturing for him to look over at Kazuki. "Oh, ghost us." He hefted Dannern over his shoulders and began walking back to the center of the stadium. It looked like Beaux might need to help Kazuki. He activated green dragon mode to heal what injuries he could before he might have to step in, but if the Kokuyoku took over he'd try to fuse his Frozen Phoenix Omega with Seiryuu Deluge and just hit him with an attack that should be able to actually cause bodily harm to someone even as powerful as the Kokuyoku. With the combination of oversoul and blue dragon mode and the dark magic he was using on his body and the spell he was about to cast on himself he should be able to actually hit him too. Assuming his body didn't give out. He quickly carved a magic circle into the ground with lightning as he chanted the spell's incantation.

An ebony dagger with an eye on the cross guard appeared in Tasha's hand as Despair was eroded from existence. What's this? The blade felt right, but ...she felt like something was still missing, but she sheathed the ebony blade and decided she'd figure it out later.

Kale hushed Roana, "Relax, your safe now. Despair won't make you hurt anymore. Revy, take our new friend and Isaac and Miria to my home. You two, look after her." To make sure they didn't forget he made that one an order. Revy disappeared with them and reappeared alone a second later. "Do you really think this a good idea?" "those two will cheer her up, and it was the taint of Despair that made her as she was. She's fine now, right Garage?" The old man just nodded. "Kale, this fight is getting dangerous. You want us to step in?" "No, this is a problem for the next generation." Luck laughed. "Ssspoken as a true old timer. Oddly enouv vou are fairly voung in comparison to the vrest of us." Everyone just bust into laughter, none of them were really sure why, they just felt like laughing. Luck looked from one dragon to the another clearly confused. "Vhat? Vhat!? Vhat did I say?"

"You ba-" "Calm down, both of you. The black one's been revealed and released. And it looks like the blue decided to split itself in two. We just need to find the white one and our mother will be free again." "What do you mean, split itself in two? His is obviously a fake!" "He called on Seiryuu, your grandfather. How else could he have done that if he didn't have a real one? And that was his oversoul, just like yours. If it means that much to you we can arrange for the two of you to fight, maybe the blue will fuse itself back together. Of course then we'll see who truly is the chosen one." "Heheh, hear that Sei? Alice isn't convinced that you really are the chosen bearer of the blue blade." "At least I have a blade." "Hey! That's not fair and you know it. I can't change the fact that greens favor bows. Besides, it's thanks to me that we haven't been spotted by all those dragons." "The pitiful excuses for dragons you mean." "Well yes of course, but there's enough of them that we'd be hard pressed to defeat them all. Plus there's their friends." "Fair enough, do I really have to wait until tonight though? He's still in a battle mindset." "He's hurt, it wouldn't be fair and it won't count if you don't play by the rules." "Fine fine Alice, you win. I'll wait till he's feeling better." "Good, plus they're planning on stripping the current king of his powers tonight." "Really? How do you know that?" "I pay attention. The glove's aura glows darker and darker into a deep red "What is this? It burns." Seth grits his teeth as the aura shapes itself into a claw made out of the aura what the hell did dad put into this glove, it feels like it's cutting my hand off. And wha is- oh **** the portal!Seth is pulled into the portal the spell caster bursts out in laughter "that's what you get! Don't enter a tournament when you can't fight!" Seth's hand reaches out of the portal and than the claw comes out implanting itself into the ground Seth crawls out his eyes flicker back and forth between the red color of Zakk's eyes when he would lose control "..." Seth's eyes stop changing and turn the red, he can be heard growling "Grrrrr" The Spell Caster steps back in fear "no, stay away!" the Spell Caster starts running for the exit Seth thrusts the claw into the ground, explosions of the aura appear breaking all of the ice Haruharu made in the path of the caster, the spell caster it engulfed in the aura, than sent flying into the stands, sindered, bleeding and eyes rolled back. The aura on the glove evaporated into the air like steam, Seth's eyes go back to normal "what, did I kill him?whatever he wasn't important either way, I hope he can survive." Seth sits down as the ice reforms where it had been broken "unless you guys need help, I'm done."

"Do? Uh..." Kale looks over at Garage. "We've still got that orphan fund right?" "Of course, it's as robust as ever. Would you like them treated as such?" "Yes please, Revy?" The woman nodded, picked Cain up easily and teleported away and back yet again. "Thanks Revy. Anyways, they'll be treated well, don't worry Kyo."

Lua spoke next. "Kyo, Beaux has gotten stronger since last we saw him, but he's walking a dangerous road as far as magic is concerned, and he's hardly prepared for what is to come. And I'm sure both of you noticed, you two were closer to Bella than we members of the council, his Frozen Phoenix is immature at best." "Yes, that one was. That was the beginner's level, Frozen Phoenix Alpha. He has performed a true Frozen Phoenix before though, just once." "It was a beautiful move." Commented Tasha, when everyone looked at her she quieted down and looked at her new dagger. "Is it not strange though? He is a blue, yet his most powerful attack is ice based." "He's a swordsman first, an archer well now gunman second, and a dragon last. It is not that uncommon for us rangers that our given element is different from and perhaps even opposes our most powerful attack." Said Ladd. Lua spoke next, "Still, if it is alright with you, Kale, I would like to properly train Beaux in the art of magic starting in five minutes. Don't worry, he'll be able to fight tomorrow if needed, although I would rather have that time to train him more." Kale nods and Lua stands, she withdraws a scroll from within her robes as she approaches Beaux.

Beaux gladly lets all of the magic go. He had pushed it long enough and he was more or less being held together by the restorative effects of wood dragon form. And now Kazuki's unconscious, of course. Beaux shouldered Kazuki and Cain, "Come on, you'll wake up with all sorts of pain if you sleep here." He carries them the rest of the way back to the seats and sets them down before falling to his knees and dropping blue dragon mode. As Lua walks over to him he takes one look at the scroll in her hands and he takes a deep breath and stands. "What is it old witch? Come to admonish me for what I did out there?" He thought he saw a smirk under the cowl as she unrolled the scroll. And then Beaux and Lua were sucked into the scroll and Beaux found himself standing next to a pool of water with Lua in front of him. The surrounding area was green and they seemed to be standing in the bone white ruins of something. "So, I'm guessing we're in the scroll now. What happens if somebody destroys it?"
