I might as well introduce myself since I already started posting. I started getting into .hack// when SIGN came out so I guess that would make me a long time fan even though I was never big into the online fandom. I remember visiting this site when GU trailers were being released lol.

My username is Crow because they are really fascinating. I like studying stuff like animal intelligence and the crow family in particular has some of the most intelligent birds (excluding parrots). They also tend to have pretty interesting mythology surrounding them depending on the culture.

I know, right!? D8

But seriously, it is interesting. And creepy. Though Cracked loves to make their articles so extreme. Doesn't make crow's intelligence any less creepy though 'XD

Anyways, nice to have a member like yourself c: Welcome to the forums!!
And welcome to everyone else!! :D ...Even though the last 3-4 members or so haven't posted a thing. Should've welcomed them before u3u lol

I've been here before, just not in a long time, lol. I created a new account because I have a new e-mail and couldn't remember the old one, was probably something to do with Wiseman though, since he is my favorite character.

I go by several names, you can call me Jester, Wiseman (unless there is a currently active member named Wiseman), or Kame. Age is of no importance, but I live in Kentucky of the United States of America.

Hello everyone! I haven't been on the boards in forever (my last post was in 2009!)

I'm not sure if anyone would remember me. I used to go by t_s_u_k_a_s_a for the longest time but changed my username to "Rental Daughter" before disappearing for years. I mainly rejoined because I've started playing Guilty Dragon. I'm still a bit confused on how to play but it's quite enjoyable so far. I'm not sure how active I'll be on the forums as I admit, even though I'm still a fan of .hack, I haven't kept up with any of the non-anime releases that came out after //G.U.

I have terrible memory so I honestly don't remember most people from back when I was active. '~' With that said, I look forward to hopefully chatting with all of you! I'll try to stay updated with the more recent .hack releases as best I can - though I'm not quite sure I enjoy the direction the franchise took.

Hi everyone, new to the forum and this franchise. I remembered being sort of into //roots a few years back on adult swim, but it was hard to catch at 5am. Being a ten year vet of the mmo genera, and a pretty big anime/manga fan in general, I related to it instantly. I noticed one of the series up on netflix, but I knew I needed to watch from the beginning.

SO! I am delirious and emotional after a 3 day bender watching Sign, gift, Liminality, and roots. Considering I have my PS2 hooked up and working well coincidentally, I was looking for some positive reinforcement to play the games. I just have a hard time getting around the idea of playing a single player rpg about an mmo, after playing mmo's almost exclusively for years. Also, trying to cope with the fact that The World isn't a real game I can log onto, and it seems no MMO will ever live up to it ( with or without VR goggles). I joined here to make some new friends hopefully, that share my new obsession, or at least keep up on news.
Also, any suggestions on what is worth buying, manga and game wise, or any MMo's that you guys are playing that maybe I don't know about, I have level caps, in WOW, Tera, SWTOR, and just hit 52 in Rift, but I am still feeling a void due to lack of interest in games I have played to death, and my new found emotional investment in The World.

Thanks!

Its great to have such an enthusiastic new person! And here is your inspiration to play .hack! You have 24 hours from reading this message to start playing if you have not. If you have not started by then, all current members of this forum will have virtual hands that will come with though any device/monitor connected to the internet and slap you until you start playing! But seriously just though the disc and play! And don't be afraid to show off your obsession for the franchise, or any franchise, everyone here has at least two things in common, one, we all enjoy .hack, and two, we all have internet access! Hope you enjoy talking to everyone!

I always like to bet with myself to see how long these newcomers last, I honestly don't wanna waste a welcome unless they're actually active.

Hey all, if you couldn't tell my username is a reference to what Kite says at the end of Infection: "WE HAD COME SO FAR, BUT WE KNEW SO LITTLE..."

I am 21 years old and a student at Penn State, majoring in Security & Risk Analysis (Information and Cyber Security, ironically enough!).

I played through the original 4 .hack//Games when I was much younger and really really loved them. I'm revisiting the series now, attempting to "100%" the games as much as one can really do so without visiting every possible combination of keywords and stuff haha.

I also plan on watching through SIGN again, as well as LotT, Roots, and the rest of all that. I also need to buy copies of the G.U. series, as I've never gotten a chance to play them! As I keep moving through this series of games and anime, I'll be back and around on these boards to talk about what I'm learning and what I find interesting and stuff. It's been long enough since I beat Quarantine that I don't remember much, so please try to keep spoilers to a minimum if you can help it :p

I work weekdays 12:30-5:00pm Eastern Time, so that's probably when I'll be posting most.

Thanks for tolerating my rambling!!

Veryy jealous of that collection! Since I was recently promoted to manager, maybe I'll have an easier time saving some $$ so I can build a collection like that myself :p But there is always a deep conflict of my love for .hack// vs my love for Rurouni Kenshin. Need...More...Manga... BLARGHhljjklllwyyedjf x_x
