Oh no He's releasing his Curse seal Sasuke-I meant his tattoo markings Haseo!!

A bit off topic, but isn't it unfair for people to constantly compre Haseo (as a character) to Sasuke just because he has the same dub actor? Things like that person hating Yuri Lowenthal because s/he hates Sasuke has been really bugging me lately.

I had a friend compare them in terms of look and character a couple months back when we first saw roots, and e had no idea it was gonna be the same VA in the dub

deeper storyline than the original
incredible battle system
pkk is fun
no biological dungeons(they were cool, but, the lack of background music sucked(on the good side, they reminded me of Grandia II))

cons
piros(not gay-bashing(seeing as how I am gay myself and also piros is straight) his character just gets under my skin)
needs even more avatar battles (not so much a con as me being greedy)

Repth's recovery was lowered from 150 to 100 and the sp it took to cast the spell was raised to 16...it was 10 in the first games right? Been a while since I picked them up <.<;

When Haseo used Repth his voice changes to a high-pitched 'screech'...at first I though Gaspard was crying o.o;;)

Pros:
deeper storyline than the original

I actually find it rather similar, seeing the main character's friend gets DD'ed and falls comatose and the hero has to find the "cure"


I personally hate the mecha grunty, but like the death grunty.
I also like the atmosphere of the game (more "realistic" as a mmorpg)

-Fast Paced Gameplay
-Avatar battles FTW
-Better music, the OST sounds as epic as the story
-News Short Movies
-Not one... but TWO forums.
-Smoother graphics
-Great Voice Acting (for most characters anyway)
-Varied fighting styles
-Deeper Story
-Longer Gameplay
-Hearing Yuri Lowenthal scream "Skeith"
-Crashing bike into anything you can find
-Much more dramatic than the first games, some moments even made a friend of mine cry
-Mac Anu is huge, yet easy to navigate
-PVP
-Avatar Rematches (especially Azure Flame God )
-Easy to level and get ahead of the game
-Data draining- sometimes tough, but fun

Cons:

-The annoyance you have to go through when urging Haseo to say something that actually helps him
-Replay value is decent, but makes the gameplay seem monotonous post-main story
-Changing weapons during battle is slow
-No good rapid weapons late game
-Main game is too short when you get too ahead of opponents
-Gaspard sounds like Spongebob
-Alkaid sounds like a drunk
-Sometimes, Atoli sounds a little...eh...not too sure
-Not enough equipment to actually keep you playing after you finished the story
-Why can they DD me automatically when I'm at above 50% when I can't even when I've gotten them to 0?...

To me, it was the best and most well put together .hack story yet, made even better by its soundtrack and nice list of varied characters.

Con: Tri'edge's english VA is Kite's English VA. How lame. Now he sounds all whiny instead of all cool zombie moaning. It was terrible. I hope he never speaks or if he does, he takes a page from lycoris and use textboxes or something.

Another Con: Why does Skeith sound like Darth Vader at one point in the game? James Earl Jones! It kinda erked me to hear Skeith sound like that. He still sounds ok, its just strange to me.

The next Volume shows Skeith with a black helmet attached to a voice box and a glowing red sword.

I agree. It's so pointless that they changed the VA for Kite, Skeith, and Mia. They don't even say anything...

- Had to run to a gamestop store just to buy the overpriced Special Edition
- Those damn chests with only 3 seconds to disarm
- The fact that it is probrobly twice as confusing if you havnt watched Roots
- I miss Mia too.
- Only one blasted cleric
- Haseo is such a dick

- The news boards full of losers whining about global warming.
- Could use more voice actors for NPCs other then grunts and "oh no's" for quest scenes and thinking thoughts.
- Beating the snot out of enemies in the arena only to learn that despite the fact that I killed two of them in seconds and now pounding the third one, they are actually all alive and beating the snot out of me until my avatar pops out and kills all the enemies.

IIRC, that's what  Old man Antares sends you through (same for the character advancement quest)
I also like the "fanarts" and the guild expansion upon completion of the book of 1000's

Skeith's avatar doesn't follow the consistancy from the original Skeith (referring to the placement of the "bracelet" for data drain...in the originals it's on the left "arm", but in GU, it's on the right)
