"A chance for what?" Bianca called, trying to pull her gaze from Soma's. She just couldn't do it, and she somehow knew that he wasn't bewitching her either. He looked so human. How could he truly be the Light Devouring Beast that had tried to destroy the world twelve years ago? It just didn't fit. The blade of the sword began to shake faintly, and with gritted teeth Bianca let it fall to her side. She couldn't do it. She couldn't kill him.

"Just leave. Now." She hung her head and turned away from him, keeping him from seeing the confusion and fear on her face. "If you make me regret this and turn out to be the murderer everyone calls you, know that I will find you again and make this right..."

Soma: ....if I turn into a murderer I'll gladly let you kill me...im sorry by the way o'll thank you next time be treating you to lunch at a diner sometime ( he runs off) I have to head to the capital of I'm right the 3 saves including Demetrius are going to be there but I need to find a way into the city undetected...seeing as how im pretty sure they wont let the light devouring beast just walk right in ( he continues to run as he leaps from a cliff) whoohoo!!!! I can't believe it I'm finally out I can finally breath the fresh air man Gaia sure has gotten pretty Whoo! ( he drops into the forest below him essentially making his escape from any pursuers)

Dimitri had just acquired Soma's signal and chased after it at his highest speed. He was no match apparently, as he could sense the Soma was no longer there. There was an unknown signal that he encountered, had Soma killed someone? He landed away from Bianca, but traveled on foot to her location, "Soma! Are you still here? Answer me or I will end you brother!"

Ohta entered the prison and without hesitation killed the guard closest to the door. He attacked his throat, and let the blood enter his body. Suddenly his body grew and he could no longer contain his desire to feed. He ran through guards, killing each with less effort than it would take to squash an insect. He slowly pushed his body towards Kalia. No amount of brute force would release the demon. he attacked viciously as the room began to be swarmed with guards. His rage was building, and he turned to commit a small genocide.

"He's gone," Bianca called in response to Dimitri's yelling. "He managed to trick me, and escaped. I'm so sorry, sir... I wasn't good enough to keep him here..." She looked up in respect, but avoided eye contact with the man in case her eyes gave away her lie. Her face betrayed nothing as she sheathed her sword, continuing in her explanation. She knew she could only stretch her lie so far, so she added a little truth to it to help her case. "I didn't see where he headed off to when he left, but he's not too far ahead of you, so if you leave now you could most likely catch up to him..."

As she watched Dimitri decide what to do, she began wrapping her left hand with a strip of cloth torn off of her outfit. It had stopped bleeding, but it had left a tender slice straight down the blade of her hand. It was just deep enough that she would definitely need to clean it as soon as she could.

An amount of energy was releasing, seeming to call Soma from where he was at the moment. The Scythe that held one of the seals on Kalia was starting to glow. At the moment, it seemed the seal was calling the closest Aesir related entity towards where the others were being slaughtered. The demon god remained asleep, her body perfectly still as her scythe glew.

Dimitri noticed Bianca wrapping her hand discreetly. He quickly grabbed her hand and examined it. "He did this to you didn't he?" He pulled out his flute and looked her in the eye, "I'll help you, and you shall help me pursue Soma, do you understand me knight?" His tone didn't indicate he was asking. This was an order from a sage. He played a tune on his flute, it was calm and sweet, yet not too long. Bianca's wound closed itself, and Dimitri release her hand, now inspecting his surroundings and trying to find Soma's escape route.

"Knowing Soma, he would flee from the castle in a straight course. So come with me knight." Dimitri played his song of enhancement, but this time Bianca was in his range. Their speed doubled, and their fatigue disappeared. Soon Bianca found herself levitating above the ground.

Soma: ( in a shop in village away from the ruins as he throws off the uniform top he had on as he removes the tie he walks into a tailors) I need a new outfit...and is jiro in?

Shopkeeper: master jiro is in the back

Soma: tell him the beast is here...( the shop keeper walks Ito the back and a few moments later she comes out and invites soma into the back as soon as soma enters the room he's overwhelmed by smoke in the air as a elderly looking man is smoking a pipe though this elderly man seems dressed in tribal garbs) yo jiro how long has it been 12 years am I right?

Jiro: I'd say just about what you here to kill me beast

Soma: man they even got you fooled huh? Am I seriously alone in this time...

Jiro: sorry those are the breaks... I never really did believe that whole story your too lazy to betray anybody especially your brothers and I know for a fact someone like you wouldn't dare betray Gaia...anyway I'd catch up but lets make this quick I dot want any trouble for my business you know

Soma: yeah I'm in a hurry as well I need new clothes and I know someone like you wouldn't just stop business with the black market I need a weapon my magic is drained right now

Jiro: well than you've come to the right place ( he grins as he leads soma deeper into the store) I dot know how you broke out of the abyss but frankly its none of my business I'm just a simlle business man ( he hands him new clothes as soma cya yes into them and it's the outfit from his app pic as he throws on his new shoes)

Soma: you Certaintly do have the he's materials... Now about that weapon situation

Jiro: calm down would you.. I'm getting it know it was actually reserved fora different customer but for old times sake I'll get you this one

Ember's luck finally ran out it seemed as the aesir creatures grew frenzied and she got thrown into the earthen wall and then bull rushed by the beast. She was picked up and slammed against the wall several times until it broke under the blows and she was thrown head over feet into a smithy. Surprisingly for the smith and onlookers that despite landing atop all manner of weapons she picked herself up and drew her blade out of the fire shouting, "MILLY!" The flames rushed out of the building and obliterated the aesir beast and two or three behind it. Amazingly her armor was overall undamaged and her apparent injuries were minor, but they stood out like fires on a starless night against the snow white of her garb. This is getting me nowhere. I've never had to deal with trying to stop them from passing through an open gate before. And I can't keep killing them forever. Father Nok, Mothers Milly, Serah, and Luca, what do I do? The ranger strode into the opening and stood there for a moment before she breathed out the last of her magic as several beasts charged her at once. "Nok. Aesir." Her body went limp, she dropped her sword, and was grabbed by the beasts and lolled around like a ragdoll as they attempted to tear and smash at her, the durability granted by Nok was the only thing keeping her from being killed outright. Her spirit had left her body though and raced for what was pulling at her, a gate for spirits. She had no weapons and without her armor she finally felt the chill, but she didn't let that bother her there was something she needed to do, although without her shield she was unsure of how to destroy the gate to the abyss. Only one thing for it. Destroy it like I destroy the beasts. Ember placed herself within the gateway. The creatures on the other side looked at her hungrily and were pushing and tearing at one another to try and reach her before the others and consume the little ranger. Energy exploded out from her, it was felt by all within the castle and those still nearby. There was another quake, this one larger than any other that had been felt all day, a tornado formed sucking in the beasts and all those unfortunate enough to be nearby, fires exploded into vibrant new colors and sizes, water flash boiled, and everybody felt something inside themselves be drawn towards the epicenter of all of this.

When it was over, Ember's body finally moved on it's own again, with intense pain. She was covered in her own blood, the winds had smashed her into a tower and she had nearly been crushed by a stone dislodged by the quake, the least of her injuries were two broken feet and the shoulder of her shield arm had become dislocated. She stood up in spite of this and rammed her shoulder into the tower to get it back into place and sat on the stone that had nearly been the end of her. The ranger needed a short breather. She would have laughed if it hadn't hurt so much when she discovered that her sword had landed within an arms-breadth of her.

Bianca looked at her hand, tossing the make-shift bandage to the ground. She no longer needed it. She rubbed her hand, feeling nothing strange where the cut once was. "Um, th-thank you, sir," she mumbled, dropping her hand to her side once more. She never acknowledged if Soma had done it or not, but it didn't seem strange in the slightest. She honestly was confused, and it showed fairly easily. She began to accept his invitation, but found herself speechless as she began levitating. She gasped, trying not to panic at the situation, but she had almost had about all the magic she could handle in one day.

"Will we need backup, sir?" she finally asked, trying to adjust to the sensation of floating.

Dimitri faltered in his movements, he could not defeat Soma by himself, Soma was much stronger physically, and if something happened to Dimitri's flute, his whistling could only incur so much magic. He looked toward the Bianca, "For now we must pursue Soma. With or without help. If my brothers can rustle up enough knights to be useful then perhaps we may be able to slay the beast." Dimitri then flew forward, and beckoned his new ally to follow him. "He didn't kill you, if you don't mind me asking, do you know why that is?"

Hale had run into the ruins base, he tread slowly as there were dozens of beast carcasses lain throughout his path. The further he walked, the harder it was to hold in his sense. Blood was everywhere, and the smell soon became what most would consider unbearable. But his determination to be like his father pushed him. His foot stepped on a skull and he crushed it underneath him. He turned to place his back against the wall, soon realizing what he had just done. He would have turned tail, but he saw something familiar, the Ranger he'd met before. He ran to Ember's side, and helped her onto his back, "Your safe now. I promise."

Ohta could slay these guards for all of eternity, but his hunger was far passed satiated. His realized that only magic could open the seal, and left, perhaps someone would follow his trail of destruction and release the demoness.

Ember laughed, ignoring the pain. She actually was glad of it, it meant she knew she was going to live. "Darklight Serah? Serah Lucanok Highwind." Ember wrapped her arms around Hale's neck. Could she walk? Yes? Was the fact that it would hurt stopping her? No. But she was tired and she still felt cold from destroying the gateway and the page's body was warm. "Milly." She murmured and rested her head against the nook between his shoulder and neck. "Darklight Ser-." She took a deep breath and started again. "I am glad you are unharmed, thank you. Did I miss any?"

The energy resonated with the blood in the room. The energy reached out and seemed to call out towards an Aesir identity. Though, it did not seem to understand that the person that it was now calling was the light devouring beast itself. It was begging to be released in some way. Of course, the guards still around were starting to freak out at the sight of Kalia's eyes opening ever so slightly.

Making medicines with one of the grand mages, Yuuno placed the mortar and pestle down. "How many soldiers do you have enough for, Master Milton?"

"Enough for half of a platoon, please continue so I can begin treatment."

Hale shook his head, "No, you didn't miss anything at all you did really good, and yes, I'm Highwind. But calling me Hale is just fine." He kept quiet until he could recognize the end of the ruins. "So I notice sometimes you speak like I do, and other times you used words like "Milly" and "Serah;" that means you're like bilingual right? So is the "Milly-Serah" language your native one?" Hale asked, half-curious, and half trying to make sure she remained conscious.

I haven't been carried like this since Keeper took me from the front. "Father Nok, Mother Serah, Mother Milly, Mother Luca, and Aesir. Earth, Wind, Fire, Water, and Aesir. The five elements. That's the core of it. The rest of it is defined by an understanding gained through harmonizing with each of them, so to call it my native tongue is an understatement. To speak in such a limited manner with so many meaningless words like this is frustrating." Ember opened her eyes and looked around as best she could without actually moving. "Luca." Ember murmured used what little magic she had recovered to staunch the bleeding. She'd move on to the actual injuries later probably when she went to sleep, for now she saw no reason to risk infection, nor in bleeding on Hale any more than she already had. There was something else, an Aesir beast, but it felt far away at the moment so she would worry about it later. That's the pain talking and you know it, Ember. You should go ahead and check it out... Keeper said when we left that there were some battles which must be fought as they come and some battles which are best left for later. I think this may be one best left for later. Ember used Hale's shoulder to pull her mask down, put her ear to the vein on his neck, and breathed in deeply. She couldn't truly feel the warmth of the rest of him through her armor, but the air helped warm her from the inside and yet it still felt like the warmth only went skin deep. I guess that's what happens when you leave your body for... however long I was out of it. "Hale, where are you taking me?"

Bianca had been wondering the same thing, but it was a little surprising to hear it asked out loud so soon after she had 'fought' Soma. She struggled for a moment, but ultimately managed to get beside Dimitri, as she felt rude replying from so far away. "I.. I honestly don't know, sir" she replied a little hesitantly. "We had a short fight, but he ultimately got away from me and ran away before I could really do anything to him. If I may, he was extremely fast, and very skilled to have just escaped from a twelve year sleep, sir... It's a little unnerving. Don't get me wrong, however; I am still perfectly capable of helping you as much as I can should we find him again, and I accept full responsibility for any damage he does until we find him as I was the one to let him escape."

'Please don't make me regret letting you go, Light Devouring Be-... Just please don't make me regret this...'

Soma: ( he streches as be throws on his new red scarf as he throws the hood up and he places his regalia blade in its sheath) so this new sword is the best you have anyway I do owe you one I do need one more thing what's the shortest route to the capital I'm afraid I have zero access to any magic so I don't think any enhancement spells can help me ( he gets directions to the shortest but most dangerous route ) thanks again jiro ( he sneezes) ahh man I Certaintly hope jones talking bad about me....who am I kidding I'm the most hated creature in the world this sucks ( he walks off) I can probablly make it to the capital in atleAst 2 days on foot but since I used the indignation spell my alpha stigma is drained and all out of sack I can only use basic spells right now..( he heads to the inn to rest for the day)...I need to hurry as soon as I can I'll leave this town by tonight

Hale laughed as he heard her explain her language, he didn't understand how such a bond could be formed with a five word language, but He could tell Ember was serious. “Sorry there's so many meaningless words, it's just how I learned to talk, you know? I mean, no offense but I think I need the meaningless words to make sense out of the things I hear.” Hale smiled, even though he was positive Ember hadn't seen it. “So now that that's out of the way, I'm taking you to the medical ward. You kind of need a good night's rest and probably some medical magic.”

Dimitri had not once made eye contact with Bianca. “None of this is your fault, this is ours. Had we been watching his prison more carefully he would not have escaped it. Had we defeated him before he left the ruins, he would not be in the city. Or...” Dimitri seemed to bite his tongue on his last quip. “Had we slain him twelve years ago rather than sealed him...” Dimitri pondered the thought of killing his own brother. He never truly could though. Beast or not, his brother was his brother. He'd fought alongside Soma, grown alongside him. How could he turn and slay him now?

"I still should have been able to at least stall him until someone else arrived, sir," Bianca added to Dimitri's words, noting his short moment of discomfort. "I was assigned to his resting place because my order found me strong enough to handle things if he were to escape and I failed. For that at least I apologize." She lowered her gaze in a mixture of shame and confusion, silently hoping that Soma would be able to avoid their advances long enough to prove that what he had told her was true.

"Healing magic is unnecessary. In fact, I should be moving on already." Despite what she had said, Ember made no effort to resist nor to leave. "I have no money nor anything else of value that I can part with, and outsiders never do anything unless they seek to gain something. Why are you doing this Hale?"
