Zorlo spun in his chair and rested his chin against the rest, raising his left hand as his right hand grabbed the sheathe of his sword. Two fingers rose from his left hand, his index and middle as well, as he smiled. "I have two things to tell you then. First, we're not going after that thing. The moment my current partner and I heard it, we fled here. For now, this is my base of operations and her temporary residence, as I'm not sure what she's up to after this. Second, yes, ask her, but knock on her door first. It'd be a shame if she killed you without you getting to ask," the Kamatachi said as he sat with his back against his desk as he placed the sheathe of his sword against the floor. "Aside from that, I'm trying to gather firsts together to fight against our common enemies, the seconds and thirds, so you're welcome. A teleporter is almost inherently useful by their nature," Zorlo said with a smirk. Things were getting interesting.

He had a big smile in his face, that got from an ear to another "So, now we're in the same boat..." He walked to the door that the green haired guy said and knocked it twice "so, what's your name?... also, your partner is a girl?... hmm..." he crouched on the ground again like a dog in front of the door and tough Wraft!... I miss my dog..

The door opened partially as Mariya stepped to block seeing into the room. "While I don't mind being thought of as being young, I'm hardly what you'd call a 'girl' anymore, Kid," Mariya said as she walked into the room and closed the door behind her before either of the men could decide to look in. "I was beginning to wonder how you were talking to out here and I find you gathering more recruits to that cause of yours. I'm a bit impressed you work this fast," she finished as she leaned back against the door and crossed her arms. "So... what is it that brought you here, Newcomer?"


"I can hear too...." Kurushimi mind spoke back as her stomach rumbled. She actually had to stop and wonder about the last time she ate. Two days ago, maybe..? "I'm kinda tired... but I think I'll be okay, Mr. Lantern... Is it Safe at all around here? I wanna rest..." she said to him as she sat against the wall next to her and hugged her knees to her chest. "I'm Kurushimi, by the way, Mr. Lantern."

Daisuke stood up, and walked in front of her "Well, i happened to hear that big roar and i was following it, and i found this guy in here, so i talked to him and he said that you two where feeing from that thing, so i have two questions, did you saw it? and" he midly smiled "Now that we're three... Should we go for it and hunt it down?" he stepped back so that he coould see the two of them "also, my name's...." he stopped "What's your name, you two?" I pictured her younger.... "Oh, and sorry if i act on my own now and then.. or answer on a bad way... but as you can see i don't talk to people since some years... So i have to get accustomed"

"I can answer those two questions if you don't mind, milady," he said, looking at the teleporter. "The first answer to both is no. I've got no business hunting the third kind when there are logical and reasoning creatures after us. Between modern militaries and Second Kind, we've got a war against armies. As for my name, I'm Zorlo, and she's..." Zorlo paused as he looked at her, "a hot, slightly older woman wearing a maid's dress with sexy glasses," Zorlo said as he spun his chair around and sat down normally again. As for your actions, feel free, just don't be stupid or reckless. Remember, use your powers too much and you'll be standing around like a sitting duck, waiting to be eaten or captured," Zorlo said with a yawn. "As for your mannerism and speech, I don't really care how you speak, what you say or any of that crap. We're in the midst of war, and if you perform your duties well, does it matter how you speak to me or act? I'm not the leader of anything important. It's just we three until we find more. If that's all you want to know, feel free to ask that hot chick questions now," he said, spinning around and starting to write again.

"Hmph, so... you're a bunch of.... Civilized people.. heheheheheh.... Well, i haven't slept on a while... so.. where can i rest??" he said while he yawned, and then said again "If you want any food or supplies just tell me, i know some places... also, ummm Hot Maid girl, you haven't told me your powers.. of and my name's..." he stopped "My name's Daisuke"

Jason's legs felt as though they had been nailed to the asphalt. The beast before him stood as tall as a two story house. Cain's spike truly was well aimed, it sped towards the creature's moth, containing skin far more fragile than that protecting the rest of its body. However, the Sindread managed to catch the attack in its teeth and with one crunch, broke it into ruble. It screamed loudly and peered down threateningly at Jason, who peered fearfully back.

If that didn't work, what will? He noticed the creature's amphibious features and almost yelled the answer out, "My original plan!"

The boy began running dead straight past the goliath, hoping to god that it wouldn't be fast enough to strike. He was lucky and unlucky. The giant sent one hand crashing to the ground and subsequently sent Jason flying half the creature's height into the air. At this point Jason found that being flung through the air wasn't all that bad, but moments later, he realised smashing into the ground was. With pain and dogged movements the teen pulled himself to standing and began limping in the direction he had original been leading the Cutlasses. Unaware of what injuries his bodied incurred, Jason managed to build himself into a sprint, blood dripping from somewhere on his body, but masked from adrenaline.

There's no way I can outrun this thing now, he thought as his legs almost gave out every time the Sindread took a step. With immense trepidation the young man peered back at his stalker and, with great surprise, found he was in fact outrunning it. The beast's tiny legs were being dragged behind as its arms pulled it along.

"Hell yeah!" Jason yelled, "Just gotta *pant* lead it to the lake at the military base and *pant* *pant* send a couple thousand volts into the water. That should *pant* be enough to cook the lobster, stupid little-" Jason ceased the race and froze as a second Sindread crawled from behind a building and looked down at him.

"Ah fu-"

Mean while at Mariya's hideout, eight highly trained Second kind with submachine guns and super strength were closing in around the hole. They managed to keep their footsteps silent and communicated only via hand signals.

Burst in, kill all terrorists, one of the Seconds thought as another gave the signal counting down from five.

Zorlo raised his hand. "Quiet, we have visitors," the man said. He heard it... they were quiet... but not quiet enough he couldn't figure out they were there. "Between four and eight people, I'd say, carrying some type of gun... I can hear the ammo clicking with each step they take..." The swordsman rested his hand on the handle of his sword and prepared to move. "Milady, you remain here and anyone that makes it here gets shot or cut down... with whatever you have. Daisuke, you teleport behind them and create what havoc you can within their lines." Zorlo smiled as he unsheathed his sword. "As for me, I plan to draw their fire at first. LIke this!" Zorlo said as he slid past the door and began to shake his sword, causing the air around it to buzz.

"My name is Kamatachi no Zorlo, and you've picked the wrong enemy!" he said as he swung his sword and launched a cutter wave, slicing through one of the soldiers with the blade of air as he started causing the sword to vibrate again. I've got two shots left... gotta make them count, the swordsman thought with a smile. This would be fun.

"You can drop the mister, Kurushimi." He said with a smile. It makes me feel old. "Guess I won't be leaving you then." I could take her home, but that's a bit of a trip and she doesn't look to be in any condition to walk it. He looked around for a bike or a wheel chair or something until he remembered his ring. Aragorn slapped his forehead, "Hello Aragorn, you're a green lantern. Watch this." A beam of emerald energy shot out from his ring and formed a life size saddled horse beneath him. "Oh right, need a passenger saddle." Do those exist? He thought to himself as he made the modification. He made a step, the horse knelt down, and he held his hand out to Kurushimi, "Care to join me for a ride, fair damsel?"

Cain took the breather Jason provided him with to make a sledge hammer. This is a bad idea. It's a good thing I heal as fast as I do, because otherwise putting pressure on my injuries like this would be a really bad idea. Cain sprinted to catch up and struck the first sindread in the back of it's foreleg or arm or whatever this thing was, leave the identifying to the egg heads. Maybe he couldn't break the skin, but there was something to be said for sheer brute force. The beast let out a yowl of pain. Maybe I broke something? Ah, that's probably wishful thinking. "If you've got a plan- oh hell." He adjusted his grip and swung the hammer around to smash into the ground and launched a boulder over Jason's head and into the second Sindread's. The first 3rd spun around and threw Cain into a building. A dozen basketball sized arrowheads made of rock flew out a second later, they shattered on the Sindread with little effect. Cain staggered out a few seconds later, "You're starting to piss me off." The earth bulged and threw Cain over to Jason. "So, electricity's all you've got, eh? Let's try this." The earth beneath them shot skyward, carrying them with it a few stories. Simultaneously, all of the water pipes in the immediate area burst violently. "Ok, I think I need to take a short nap now." He fell flat on his face, unconscious and bleeding, from his shoulder and several other wounds he had apparently gotten when he was thrown into the building or ones from the ambush that had opened up during the fight.

Everything around Jason happened in a flash, and in moments, Cain was down and water surrounded the Sindreads.

"You'll not die in vain," Jason whispered, miss-assessing Cain's powers. "I doubt this'll kill you, but with all this water the current will definitely reach some vital organs and shut you two up for long enough."

Both of the Sindreads were closing in on Cain, the one to most recently cause annoyance. With a yell almost on par for ferocity with the Sindreads' Jason released a strong and steady stream of electricity into the water. In a barely measurable amount of time the energy surged through the water, connected with the creature's drool and consequently all of their internal organs. Jason kept up the high voltage current until he began feeling dizzy, then he kept the shock going. After another few seconds he let go and fell to his knees, saturated, exhausted, not sure if his damp exterior was more from Cain's artificial rain shower or sweat. The giants, thankfully, also fell. Their bodies rocked the earth upon contact. Jason tried standing, but fell back to his knees.

"Used... to much... energy..." He said to no one. A trick he'd learned early in his new life was to always carry some high fructose snacks. Presently he was down to one sugary granola bar which he opened and consumed in under ten seconds. The Sindreads where still moving. Their bodies jolting as the brains fired off random signals endeavouring to get back in touch with other organs and muscles.

Probably only got another minute or two before they're conscious. He grounded himself and stood with tired limbs. Jason managed to meander over to Cain and saw through the tear on his vest that flesh could heal fast. Impossibly fast. "Man, some people get all the useful powers."

Jason gave him self a couple of seconds then hoisted the man onto his shoulder. With very slow steps he made his way a block down the decimated street and into an abandoned building. He could hear muffled barks back the way he came.

"Hopefully they can't sniff us out," he groaned as his legs performed the difficult task of trekking up stairs.

"heh, this would be GREAT!!" Daisuke telported to the building's roof, saw the guys and teleported to one of the guy's back, and shot an energy blast to it, making the guy fly close to their 'base' door, where zorlo was "It's all yours!" he grinned, then ran in 'four legs' like a dog to the closest guy.

The big guy shot at Daisuke multiple shots with a machinegun, daisuke teleported in front of him and shot an energy blast to his face, almost killing him, then teleported back to the base "Tch!"the bullets in his body fell into the ground and his wound healed, he teleported back to the battlefield "2 out" teleported above one if the guys "6 to GO!" then shot an energy blast to him, grabbed him and teleported the guy with himself to the base's roof, while the other guys shot their machineguns at Daisuke. When in the roof Daisuke punched the guy and shot an energy blast to him, teleported the guy alone to the ground, grabbed his machinegun and teleported again to the base "Here you got "Mylady" use it as you want" and teleported at Zorlo's side "Now's your turn to show me what you can do"

Ignoring the Machine Gun for the moment Mariya concentrated on the design in her mind. This Bow and arrow were going to be a bit more....specialized. Her arm came down from above her head as a gargantuan bow and spiraled, spear-like arrow materialized in her hands. The arrow took a glow and she took a deep breath as she pulled and fired it. It hit the wall just before the hole and blew straight through the drywall there to take a guard off his feet, the arrow impaled completely his chest. But then, that was simply a distraction for the real target.
Letting the bow vanish, she reached down to grab the machine gun and cock to as she moved to the alleyway door exit near her. Most didn't bother to pay attention to the emergency exit down here since it was half hidden and the hole provided better access. So when she pushed the door open, she was too greatly concerned or surprised that no one was watching it, regardless of how fast they reacted to her and especially with how fast Zorlo and Daisuke disrupted their ranks. It just made it better as Mariya immediately started firing into the group. Unsurprisingly, their body armor mostly stopped the hail of bullets that Mariya sent into them. But what it didn't stop was the sudden explosion from one or more of the team's grenades being shot by the aforementioned hail of bullets. "Huh... That worked even better then I thought," Mariya said from behind her Forcefield as she dropped the gun to the floor and materialized a white-bladed short sword. "Zorlo! Help me me check for survivors, wouldn't you? I sure some are still alive and we don't need back-up coming just yet.


Elsewhere, Kurushimi smiled and giggled slightly at his extra mental additions as reached out to him, tentatively at first before reaching up to take his hand to let him help her up to a back of the Green lantern horse. Her eyes looked slightly less glazed then before."Thank you... Lantern," she mind spoke to him as she held on to him and leaned tiredly against his back. A grip with tightened as the explosion reached them from one direction and the Sindread roars reached them from another. "What was that...?"

"Already on it," Zorlo said as he leapt from the roof, wind dancing around him as he drove his sword into a man that was wiggling to get to his radio. Blood splattered into the air as Zorlo's blade cleaved his head clean from his body as the swordsman stabbed another man who didn't move. "Hmm... dead." Zorlo stabbed his sword into another man who twitched with pain as what was left of his body slowly died. "Well, these bastards aren't too tough..." he said, kicking another two people from the pile as he continued to try and find the last of the remaining people.

I see... these two both have more than just one power they've developed. IT seems that First Kind can develop more than just a single power... but... the man paused as he began to move his sword back and forth in his hand quickly until the blade began vibrating loudly. I can feel it. I can feel the emotions of these soldiers beyond their armor... through the walls. What is this? Zorlo asked as he turned and threw a wind blade that cleaved through the side of the building and moved on to cleave the head of another soldier off. "They had one hiding... to make sure that even if we beat these bastards... someone could report," Zorlo said as he paused and looked at his gloved hand. BUt what kind of power is this? The power to feel what my enemy feels... it's both terrifying and wonderful... it's how I knew they were here... it's how I found that guy now... but what is this?

The swordsman sheathed his sword as he looked at Mariya and waited for Daisuke to come out. "Did you find any survivors? My money is on one of them is still hiding in the pile of corpses. As I said, this is war, and there can be no survivors if they choose to engage us half-heartedly."

"wait...." Said Jason quickly "You're leaving me in here with these guys alone??" he avoided some attacks, teleported to a guy's back and shot an energy blast to the ground, causing smoke to fill the ambient "I haven't seen Zorlo's moves!" His voice could be heard coming from everywhere as he shot multiple shots to the buildings at the sides, causing echoes and more smoke "If you're doing that then!" in the smoke it could be seen some blue rays and balls, and it could only be heard the gunshots, guys screaming, the energy blasts hitting on them and the ground, and an histerical laugh coming from everywhere "Hahahahahahah!" Daisuke laughed as he teleported and shot 'lasers' and energy balls from his hands "hahahahahahah!" the guys screamed, until an explosion ocurred in the area, and the guys asked themselves what happened, then started to laugh "Tch!, look what you did to my shirt!!" said Daisuke as he teleported in front of a guy, as the smoked dissappeared, and shot a blast at his head "It's all ripped off!!" then teleported in the last guy standing's back "and this is a limited edition!.. LIMITED!!" and shot a blast in the guy's chest, almost killing him and finished him with a blast on the face "Zorlo!..." he walked in Zorlo's direction

(No worries, it still works, he was just rampaging somewhat pointless, but he did help determine who was dead. )

Zorlo looked at the smoking alleyway as he saw Daisuke standing there. The woman was clearly unharmed and still holding her sword. Still, the smoldering pile of dead bodies told the swordsman what he had missed while he investigated the man's body who was away from his group. The building they had made their base creaked as he looked at it lean side-ways slightly, the hole that had been the entrance threatening to crash now. The green-haired man sighed.

He looked at Daisuke as the boy called his name and he approached. SHock... that was the boy's feeling at that moment, but moments before he'd been overcome with an incredible killer intent and obscene anger. "Keep yourself in check boy... lestwise you'll get us all murdered," Zorlo said as he clenched his hand into a fist and bit his lip. "After all, you've just laid waste to our base of operations, dammit!" Zorlo yelled as he punched the boy in the chest, violent wind pushing the fist harder and faster than even teleportation at the last second would have allowed response for.

The swordsman sighed. "Now then, I understand you've fully manifested three First Kind powers, but at the same time, such recklessness and such lack of control of yourself could have killed your compatriots. I know you're still young, but if you can't even control yourself over something so minor as a shirt, then bringing you along will get us killed, if not by you, then by our enemies. I need to know that every person that walks along side of my forces can keep themselves and their personal bull crap in check, otherwise we'll all die."

The man turned away as he rested his right hand on the hilt of his sword in a back-hand grip. "Now then, if you've calmed down and caught your breath, I'm going to ask you sit quietly for a moment. Miss maid-babe, what's our status? After all, I'm sure you can see what happened to our poor new base from being tracked. SHould we consider moving or try to save this poor building before it collapses and we all get trapped in it?" Zorlo asked with a sigh. Maybe he WAS in over his head.

Daisuke groaned after he received the punch in his chest "yeah... but where am i going to get another shirt??, that aside, i know some other places good for hiding" He ended to rip off his shirt "Now's not worth having it on.." He walked into the base, where the maid girl and zorlo were "Btw zorlo... I know how to control myself.. i just wanted some fun y'know, i haven't fought with human since the second kind started to go out for the first time!" He then looked at the two of them "Well, umm, i know a place where to hide... but it's like a JunkYard... it's on that direction" He pointed to the contrary way that the guys came "It's not a luxury but if you stay in there, you will be safest than here, there is also some buildings close, and some shops are still open, so i can get food and supplies from there... altough... What do you say??.." He crouched like a dog, again

"First off," Zorlo said as he removed his cape and placed it over the boy's shoulders, "this will do until we have time to find more clothing. After all, that will become a hard commodity to find. Aside from that, I think we should wait to see what the pretty lady has to say before we rush off, ya?" he asked to the woman. "By the by, miss, i still don't know your name. I'm not sure how flattering it is being referred to as, "that hot older chick," but I'm sure it can't be your favorite thing to be called," the swordsman said with a chuckle. "So, ma'am, what do you think?"

Daisuke received the cape "Thanks, but i got another idea" he gave back the cape to Zorlo, and walked to where the dead guys were and meticulously watched them all "Now, this will do" He grabbed a guy and teleported with him to the roof the building, took the guy's shirt and pants off and teleported the guy to where he was "Heheh" he took his pants off, and putted the guy's clothing on him, and teleported back inside the base with his pants on his hands "look, with this on, i can have two things: new clothes and i can infiltrate into the enemy's lines, what do you say??" He crouched on the ground like a dog as he finished saying this

Sod. "That would be a very insistent date. I'm afraid we'll have to take a detour." The step disappeared and the horse galloped for the edge of the parking garage. "Hang on tight!" A slide formed beneath them and they rode it down to the street. That was fun, and to think I was hesitant to jump off the roof earlier. They practically flew towards the pair of Sindread. I can't slow down, but with this much wind I can't exactly ask her to let me know if- Hello Aragorn, hey Kurushimi, let me know if you hear anyone nearby. Maybe someone getting chased by something loud and angry.

The cloaked man clapped slowly as he walked through the alley of corpses Zorlo, Mariya and Daisuke left. "Well done, well done indeed," he rounded the corner and moved through the hole, now only metres from their group, "But I don't recommend attempting to infiltrate their ranks. They chip these guys before they send them on missions. This also means you've only got another couple of minutes before they send a larger, far more deadly force after you. I have no intention of telling you what to do right now though. This however-" He threw one of the watches up into the air towards Zorlo, "Should give the wearer a better chance of survival, and a chance to change things in the long run. We'll be in touch."

The man disappeared out of the hole with lightning fast speed. Within seconds he was a block away, in a minute he would be closing in on his first target's destination. In the centre of a rundown city, decimated and abandoned, an enormous fissure had opened up. The cloaked man stood at the edge peering over to the other side. "Glad I didn't send too much trouble towards that group, if they'd have died I might not have enough help to do this," he looked into the hole which appeared to descend endlessly, he then looked back to the other side which sat at a distance of several hundred metres.

"Time to find out what made you once and for all," he grinned and descended into the hole with an echo ghosting back out, "Tallyho~"
