Nephilim shook her head. "The reasonings of a woman is something that deserves to remain a mystery until revealed. Don't worry about it, Setanta," Nephilim replied as she smiled slightly. "Besides, he's alright, right Luca?"

The Bodyguard looked up as the Pocket finished closing. "My... sisters are gone..." she said quietly. It was one of Nu-13's quirks. When greatly stressed, she tended to speak quieter. Fortunately, the room was fairly quiet anyway. "And... Something's wrong. I feel as though... a Boundary has opened somewhere that no Boundary existed before... I can't explain it..."

"Accept it and move on, that's what I do." She brought up a monitor from within her desk. "Attention Jesabells. As of this moment we are at war. The situation is 667-C repeat 667-C, prepare accordingly." The monitor sank back down into the desk and Jesabell spun around in her chair. "It seems like we are going to need to accelerate the development on the prototypes, unfortunately with the loss of the ARCHER project this puts us decidedly behind schedule. We are going to accelerate production of the standard models, as well as the new prototypes. To expedite things we'll be cutting the self-destruct protocols out of the new GUARDIAN models. That should allow us to phalanx with them. Also, I need you to make a delivery for me. This would fall to Maximus, however...you'll be leaving for Antarctica shortly, in a modified EAGLE. I have a very important project there, there is a strong garrison protecting it but I want you to make sure it weathers the initial attack as well as possible."

Maya arrived at the base with her new ally, G-Zero. She knocked on the hatch, as G-Zero sniffed around, scratching at the floor occasionally, and then crawling around to a different spot; it reminded Maya of what dogs were supposed to be like. At this point Rose was unconscious, but Maya believed G-Zero acted in defense. “Listen Go,” Maya said, affectionately nicknaming the creature, “you have to play nice, because if you don’t these people will think you’re bad and hurt you.” ‘Go’ nodded and sniffed Maya’s extended palm, it then rubbed its head against her hand.

"Um... I'll get the door," Zorlo said as he vanished into a green blur.

"So..." Luca said as he carried his battered body over to a chair, "I get the feeling I did something really bad to her, but I'm not exactly sure what... or why maybe... she's so incredibly furious at me," Luca said with a sigh. "I know she's sad... but... wait... did she say... CENTURIES?!" he asked, feeling light headed suddenly. "She tossed me in some portal, I wound up wherever I am now... and now I find out I've been gone for hundreds of years?" Luca asked with a sigh. "The hell did I pick a fight with that failed to kill me, dammit."

Zorlo opened the hatch and looked at... er... "Hello... Mae?" he asked, looking at her, forgetting her name again. "Anyway, come on..." he started saying as he noticed G-Zero and the unconscious Rose. "COme in... she looks like she's in bad shape. You can report in a bit, we've got something to pass onto you two. A development whilst you two were gone," Zorlo said as he grabbed Rose and headed inside. "Come, we haven't much time, i feel." What he felt though, he wasn't sure.

Setanta looked towards Nephilim, "The reasonings of a woman is something that deserves to remain a mystery until revealed." He looked back at Luca, "Or so I am told. However, if I may offer a theory, she may be upset because you failed to kill Jesabell, some people believe that your "failure" that day is what allowed the world to become the hell it is today. If it is any consolation, I do not."

Just... accept it...? could she really...? She didn't have much of a choice anymore. But it was so quiet without the Link.... "Acknowledged. I am ready to leave at anytime, Jesabell," Nu-13 replied as she came forward.

Nephilim chuckled. "No... I'm sure that's not quite it here, Setanta, though that's not a bad theory." She looked back Aelina's waiting armaments and touched something on them, making them vanish. "Don't think too hard on it, Luca. Just give her some time and then go see her and I'm sure you'll understand," she finished before turning back to Setanta. "By the way, Setanta. Can you tell us anything about the huge, black spot on the sun?"

"I do not possess many hard facts about it. I do not believe it to be of Jesabell's direct creation. It's appearance correlates with the, for lack of a better term, petrification of normal humans. It is unknown how it affects those of demonic heritage, but minor cybernetic augmentation does not seem to provide much, if any, protection. However, the clones are at least more resilient to it than others, whether this is contributed to by their armor, advanced genetics, or the greater percentage of cybernetic augmentation has yet to be determined."

Jesabell handed Nu-13 the now empty bowl. "Take this to the kitchens and get yourself something to eat while you're there. Take off when you're finished." Jesabell pulled out a tablet computer and began working on a new design, she tapped her foot four times in a row, repeatedly.

“Maya…” Maya muttered quietly, more intent on introducing her new friend. G-Zero, however, went up to Zorlo and began sniffing him, as if to catch his scent, its eyes began to glow red and Maya scolded him, “Stop it! Zorlo is our friend!” G-Zero turned to face Maya, its crimson eyes returning to their dead black state. “Alright, let’s go.”

Eagle reached the abandoned facility first, and entered it, hiding right near the entrance. Ethan came in moments afterwards, only to be scared by Eagle’s surprise attack. Ethan screamed in response, which force “Mother” to thwack Eagle on the head. “Ha! That’s what you get!”

A man's voice echoed from deep within the abandoned facility that Eagle and Ethan were in. "War war oh happy day, we get to go to war." The strangely dressed black eyed man sang to a charred skull he held in his hands and danced around in circles. "Who do you think we'll get to kill first? The civilians, the Zs, aliens, demons, elementals, angels, devils, the planet itself, or even gods? Gwahahahaha! War war oh happy day, we get to go to war." A dozen target drones spun circles around the white haired singer and he started in on another verse.

"Maya, yes, sorry," ZOrlo said as he went inside and placed Rose upon a chair. Removing a syringe from within his pocket, he stabbed it into her arm just above the petrification. The arm slowly returned to normal as Zorlo smiled. "Good, I was right... a bit. Aelina's power to remove things like this acts as an antidote, but I'm not sure how long it will last," he said as he turned towards Nephilim. "Maya and... her... Rosie? They've returned," Zorlo stated, moving as if adjusting glasses.

"So we have some allies?" Luca asked as he stood up and cracked his back as he looked at Maya and Rose. "And they're both pretty girls. Well, this is an odd shock, still..." Luca paused as he looked at G-Zero, "This thing makes me feel... edgy. Still, its nice to meet you. I'm Luca," Luca said as he extended his human arm to G-Zero. "I'm Luca, nice to meet you."

Zorlo nodded "Oh yes, where are my manners. I'm Zorlo, Mr. er... what's his name?" he whispered to Maya. "And it's nice to meet you!" he added quickly and safely.

The world continued to turn and pieces moved into place. Hito-Shura and Dante looked down at the ruined world as the demi-fiend thought. "All of the pieces are moving into place. Let it begin," he said cautiously as he extended his arm and three beams of light erupted. Two appeared next to each other as a red haired fairy appeared next to a man clad in white carrying a spear. The third column was a large man wielding a hammer.

"Okay," Dante said as he pointed at the three, "You three are the expedition force. So get down there and let the games begin!" Dante said, clapping them towards the gate.

The fairy smiled at the man clad in white. "Let us go, my near," she said, pinching his cheek as the two leapt. Powerful magic spread around the area above Zorlo's base as forests, trees, and all kinds of fae began to be born back into the world. Their magical power surged, creating a large, intricate city of trees and buildings, something like a park, that hid the secret people that lived there. Within the center, a great citadel rose where the red-haired woman landed and smiled. Massive, multi-colored wings formed as Titania, Queen of the Fairies, stood atop her new base, the only thing besides gossamer curtains in the room being a large bed with matching curtains. "Excellent."

Cu Cuchlainn, her servant, merely looked out over their new base and took in the scenery beyond their boarders. "I wish to explore this land to make sure we don't have any unwelcome guests."

A giggle filled the mostly empty room as Titania floated behind him. "Do that later. For now, remain with me," she said, pulling him from the wall he had been using as a window and off towards her bed.

In the boundaries of Antarctica, a powerful storm began to brew. Bolts of lightning split the ocean asunder a handful of times as steam rose from the increase in temperature. Slowly, a great fortress was born off of the coast of the massive base Jess had built in the remote area. Thor, the Thunder God, stood upon the edge of his base in New Midgard. "Rise up, sons of war, and prepare yourself for the greatest battle you have ever fought!" Thor yelled as all manner of beasts and soldiers began to rise from the landscape and shout and cheer. War was here at last.

"As you wish..." Nu-13 replied as she took off with the bowl in hand. Just deal with it... How does one deal with the loss of twelve sisters and the voices that you've known since birth...? The sudden loneliness alone was crushing and despite orders, she found herself unable to eat anything, instead taking it with her as she acquired the package and soon left on the Eagle for Antarctica. Even with the heightened speed, the trip would take two or three hours. Enough time to alter herself for subzero temperatures and possibly eat. Everyone... I'm sorry...

"It's Maya and rose, Zorlo," Nephilim replied over her shoulder as she thought about what Setanta said about the sun. "I see. That's interesting to know. Aelina seems immune to it as well probably thanks to her abilities. Non-humans don't seem affected either. So... does that mean only Human DNA is affected?"

The clone in command at the Antarctic base said, very calmly, into her helmet. "Let them know that they are not welcome here." Every clone had a man sized heavy weapon, ranging from gatling guns to magicannons, and stormed atop the base's ramparts and of course the base itself had it's own very powerful cannon, two in fact. Two beams of energy lanced out from the base's keeps, one punching a large hole in the base and the other targetting Thor. The one striking the building stopped after punching a hole all the way through while the one targetting Thor kept on going, at the very least to keep him locked down if it didn't obliterate him completely. Concentrated heavy weapons fire impacts the beasts and soldiers. "How long before the underwater drones get into position with the demolition charges? Also, the GUARDIAN's are in position beneath the ice and snow, correct?" Several HAWKs jumped into the air and headed towards the base, unleashing a barrage of rockets, missiles, and gunfire. "Get some HAWKs in the air to escort Maximus, his EAGLE should be arriving soon." In case you're wondering, the Antarctic base is off the main network, hence why they don't know about Maximus yet. Three more HAWks took off to escort Nu-13.

Setanta stood up. "Large influx of magical energy detected, triangulating source. Located." The area immediately around the base was not overrun by the forest, instead the magical energy was absorbed by Setanta. He headed for the exit without further explanation.

[Zorolo]

A lance flew from where the cannon shot had ripped through the building and struck one of the cannons, destroying it with a sudden flux of ancient magic. An old man with white hair and a single eye stood atop the base as he looked at the sky. "Our Master has called us here... and I, Odin Allfather, wielder of Gungnir," he said as the lance reappeared in his hand, "Shall not allow you to do as you please, humans!"

Meanwhile, the blast that had hit Thor slowly seemed to bend around him as his hammer shield him. "Tsk, tsk, tsk, brother. Still so reckless. The Demifiend summoned us here to defeat these humans, not to be defeated," the man that looked oddly like a jester said as he adjusted his hat and flew up. "Now then, behold the magic of Loki Odinson!" the trickster god said as he held his finger out and fired off a blast of magical energy from the tip of his finger like a bullet "Let's see what you've got, humans!"

Elsewhere, Zorlo took notes on the reaction from Rose as to the healing of the stone. Even though she was asleep, her body was now fighting against the petrification effects of the black sun. "I'm not sure how long this will last, but it should help her for now," the man said as he looked at Nephilim. "Yes, Maya and Rose. I'll try to remember..." he said, recalling the countless comrades they had lost before. Setanta's leaving triggered Zorlo to watch the robot leave. "Hmm?"

Luca stood up and looked at him. "he said something about triangulating magic or something. I wonder what's going on," Luca said as he limped forwards before falling to his knees. "Dammit... pain..." he muttered, feeling slightly faint still. Maybe she'd hit him MUCH harder than he had expected.

Zorlo sighed. "Nephilim, let's head up to the surface. I think something may be going on."

Six jet pack wearing clones jumped towards Odin firing and swinging. They obviously wouldn't stand a chance against him, but they were just trying to by some time. The remaining cannon focused on Thor.A clone flew back off the ramparts from Loki's attack,(I'm assuming it's more potent than a normal bullet) her armor had a nasty hole in it, but she got back up and returned to the ramparts at this point she and the rest of the heavy weapon wielding clones focused their fire on Loki. Shots rang out from snipers outside the fort's walls, they lied in the snow their armor blending in with their surroundings quite well. Their rifles were, for the most part, rail guns and they focused fire on Thor, doing their best to target him where mjolnr couldn't protect him. "So we're fighting Norse gods. Let's see how they like our frost giants." Six ZEPHYR, original post updated with description, mechs, 3 with gatling guns and 3 with heatrods. The gatling ones opened fire on Odin immediately until the heatrod Zephyrs could get in close, at which point they moved to flank Thor. And as for the regular Norse forces, when they had covered about 40% of the ground powerful magic blasts exploded under their feet and Guardian mechs rocketed up and waded into the enemy forces, mechs sprouted up out of the ground all around the fortress and lobbed magic cannonballs into the enemy forces as they advanced to box the enemy in. Inside the fortress, those clones who were not on the walls with heavy weapons were within the fortress walls with rifles and were firing at Odin to assist the Zephyrs, after all even ants can kill an elephant. The remaining HAWKs all took off to assist the Guardians and the heavy weapon clones. "I knew I shouldn't have left the demolition job to drones. The MOBYs can't move in until they're done, and this is taking too long." At least the Guardian's didn't freeze out there.

A spear appeared in Setanta's hands. The clearing around Zorlo's base was in an egglike shape and he walked towards the edge of the widest side of the clearing and peered into the forest. "Come out come out whatever you are."

Ethan looked around, as the door shut leaving the place dark except for the few rays of sunlight that peaked through broken windows. “Eagle? This isn’t funny?” His voice had a scared inflection in it. “You think I sound like that?” “…Shut up.” Eagle’s body became that of her namesake as she flew up in the air, trying to locate the sound of the man. Almost suddenly, both of them could see him, and his drones. “Oh shi-” “Let’s get out of here, I don’t like their numbers.” “Duly noted, let’s scram.”

Maya watched as Zorlo plunged the syringe into Rose’s arm, and was even more amazed that it worked. “That’s so cool! Rose is going to be so happy!” Maya said cheerfully as Luca commented on her and Rose. Her cheeks flushed red for a second and she whispered, “Thank you.” G-Zero looked at Luca’s arm, sniffed it, and then proceeded to rub its nose on his hand. “Oh! Its name is Go! I… found him in a capsule.” Maya said giving a guilty look in Rose’s direction.

Justin's singing suddenly stopped. "They're here, THEY"RE HERE! But they're not here. Why aren't they here? I'll have to go to them. Gwahahaha!" The drones turned invisible and Justin jumped up, using the invisible drones as stepping stones and he blasted a hole through the ceiling. He stood on two of the drones and streaked through the sky towards the newly created forest creating the illusion of flight.

Nu-13 watched the raging battle from the air as she flew in, having chosen not to respond to the Clone in charge of the base. She'd deal with her at a later time. For now, she'd make this delivery and make decisions from there. An escort was on the roof when she landed, and the moment she stood, showing she wasn't Maximus, they turned guns on her. "Identify yourself!" The leader yelled over the wind.

Of course they wouldn't recognize her. The Thirteen units comprising the Final Boundary Defensive Bodyguard was kept all but secret. But the moment she floated down, her eight, long disembodied flared out behind her and her silver, white, and blue Murakumo armor revealed, the guns were lowered. Only Jesabell highest elite, the Final Boundary Defensive Bodyguard mostly, rated the power of a Murakumo Unit Armor System. "Final Boundary Defensive Bodyguard Leader, Nu-13. I am here in place of Maximus."

"Right! This way," replied the clone, leading her inside.


Nephilim nodded as she looked to Luca. "Luca, you've been through enough for now. Wait here and rest up while we look. After all, we'll likely be moving soon, so you need to rest while we have that luxury," she said to him, smiling at the sight of G-zero, before heading up to the surface with Zorlo.

The leader was in the war room, looking up at the big board. She was clearly marked with blue armor and a sword at her waist. She didn't look away from the board, but started speaking as soon as Nu-13 arrived. "Max is dead." She hadn't been informed of what had happened, but she was a clone of Jesabell and had heard the nonmechanical footfalls. "That's upsetting, we could have definitely used him today. My women will go ahead and unload the eagle. There should have been a silver briefcase in the cockpit." A clone arrived behind Nu-13 with the aforementioned briefcase. A portable hole appeared in the wall next to the big board. "That will take you to the chamber beneath Briggs Fort for you to install the replacement Zero Point Module. No, I do not know what is inside the black box, but whatever it is it- Are those drones in position yet? This is why I hate robots.- it eats up a lot of power. And we're supposed to make sure no harm comes to it. Not that it seems like anything could damage it as it seems to be made out of dwarf star alloy, but hey my job is just to protect this place not question what I'm protecting." The Jesabell Clone removed her helmet and turned to face Nu-13 at long last. "Will you be leaving as soon as you are done in there, or are you here to help us kill the Norse gods and tell me what I got myself into? And if you're one of those who feels you need to call me by a name, Max dubbed me Briggs and my women call me General."
