I'm not too negative on the story. But since they're at a publicity event I'd expect something. The one sin has been overused but I don't think we've ever seen anything out of imaginations to imply its strength, one game battle (G.U.) and a few words in books don't really do it the justice it deserves. Animation won't either but its a step up. As for Sayuka, I welcome her design. But if you asked me how a female avatar should be done I'd easily point you to Sora. Still like with a few characters I hope their personalities make up for that. As for the reason the main character is female isn't that an unfair question to begin with. I'm not one of those LOL fans about the design but that's like asking the reason Kite's a male when the original character for the project was female. (Shugo excluded since the comic was concurrent with the game - talking about design not gender). Realistically its probably because it hasn't been done before and to avoid repetition, though that's kinda hard when you reuse the same character model. Personally I'm more toward the mystery behind Hermit than anything else. There are two remaining OVA, I think they're battle related, but hopefully that should be opportunity for a deeper plot.

I don't know if it's just me though, but I'm pretty sure I saw some of the different .hack characters from different parts of the series. Example: Atoli, Alkaid, etc. So maybe Quantum will connect to the original .hack series the same way link did.

Is she even consider fan service anyway? If I want fan service, or things of that nature I could always watch Ikkitousen. Aside from Sakuya, and Mary I want to see the heroic, emo hair, Balmung like hero in action the most Tobias.

I guess you're right, seems reasonable. But seeing as how this OAV is connected to Link, it would seem pretty plausible to bring in old characters as they did with Link

 It's widely accepted by the Twilight Knights at the end of Link that they'll all cease to exist as soon as Schicksal disbands in the near future. They even have a going-away party.

I've already a preconception that this probably won't be all too good. I'm not going to go off on several page tangents as I did with Link (which is still a massive disappointment in my eyes). But I will say this looks like it's going to be one of the more pointless parts of the series, as or moreso than LotT anime or Alcor.

Hopefully I'm proven wrong. But no mysterious possible AI with Mia's color scheme, returning characters, genderbending, or blatant use of "HEY LOOK. IT'S THE ONE SIN! After how well done Link was I'm prepared for this to be waaay better than it looks on the outside. And even if it isn't, even if it's just an art-inverse of GIFT, with no content and only beautiful animation, doesn't that fill a void in the .hack universe? .hack needs some smooth animation and epic anime battles, just once before it dies. There are several installments in .hack that people like because they fill a niche, and this is an incredibly important one to me.

You know, I really wish people would stop starting stupid rumors. The only thing MIA is the manga they were supposed to do last year, everything else is happening exactly as they said it would, just moved back a little. There wouldn't be a preview for the movie in the game and all the accompanying material if they weren't doing it. As far as we know, it might even be the only part of this project "on schedule", though that's because they never defined a release window in the first place, just "sometime before spring 2011."

Kinda doesn't help that we have the section titled "Quantum" instead of just Link's Anime now to include the other one. One could draw assumptions after not hearing much after a while as I have. Wasn't aware there were rumors on it.

That was d5t's housekeeping... We could make a movie section but there's nothing to call it.

There are all sorts of rumors. Quantum disproves .hack is ending, there's another movie, etc. We try to repeat what's going on often enough in the news. But like I said, the overall plan hasn't changed since it was announced like a year ago, so we shouldn't really even need to...

Ok, why isn't there a picture of Sora like that? I think Sora, or Kite, could pull that look off better.

That picture just makes me feel that they're trying to appeal to the desperate males who don't want to be gay but still like Kite.

I want to see Kite in her clothes being fondled by Orca and/or Balmung.
