Skadi splashed back down into the water and swam off beneath the waves. Hm, the castle's probably not near any coast then. Hm, whatever happened with that smell too? I thought I had stayed on course, but I just ended up here. Maybe it was my imagination, or perhaps the passage between the two closed. Would have been nice to get one of my old swords back. I wonder if anybody's still using them or if they disappeared along with me. I suppose they might have found homes in this world, but I doubt many would have been able to leave intact if I couldn't. She surfaced and began floating on her back, she looked around, there weren't any obvious rock formations near here as far as she could tell. Which meant finding a roadhouse willing to put her up or trying somewhere in a town...of course that required finding a town.

She sighed, "Who would be willing to put someone like me up for a night?" shouted a frustrated Skadi angrily. She looked back at that ship. If only they were pirates, I here tell that they don't care what you look like. Of course, there's the question of payment. They might not settle for what little money I got off those bastards earlier and there's no way I'd part with one of my blades. She swam back to the shore and began walking inland, with some luck she might come across a path and she'd follow that to a roadhouse. Or maybe something big would attack her and she could just use it's lair.

Well, as luck would have it she did find a path and something big. Over a dozen demons thinking she was some lone woman traveling at night. The leader had almost three heads on Skadi and wielded a large axe. It's fellows were of varied heights and ranged from having a head on Skadi to her having a head on them. One held two wicked looking bows and was standing well back from the group. tch, four arms and it wastes them holding a pair of bows. Deep chuckling could be heard coming from the demons, confident that the poor lighting would be frightening their soon to be victim. She just stared at the archer as the big one started talking. "You poor unfortunate woman, you should have listened to your elders and gone back home before the sun set, or hadn't you heard that we were out here?" "And you must be blinder than a mole if you actually believe you stand a chance against the Invincible Sword Princess just because you have two bows, a large axe, and a bunch of gooks." She slowly withdrew her blade from her back and began creeping shadows along the dark earth to deal with the archer. Her other weapons began to emerge from the earth around her as well.

The big one began to understand the position he was in. He yelled for the archer to fire and heard only gurgling as the bows clattered to the ground. "Now now, sister, you really don't need to kill us. It was just a joke, really. We didn't mean nothing by it." He was beginning to slowly step backwards, his followers tried to flee but they were already within Skadi's domain. None could run very far before their necks snapped. "You're right, I don't have to and quite frankly y'all aren't worth my time, but I need somewhere to stay for the night. And you're going to provide for me." "R-r-right mum." "Don't call me mum. If you feel that you must address me, you may call me Princess." "Yes, Princess." "Move." The survivors scrambled to follow their leader and Skadi. She could smell their lair before it came within sight, it was disgusting, and she'd need to bathe afterward, but it would suffice for a night. However, it could do with a few less occupants. She needed to make something perfectly clear before she went to bed.

As they came to the entrance she stopped, "Peon, and your subordinates. Allow me to make one thing perfectly clear. If anyone so much as comes within a fullblade's reach of me during my slumber or if any of you make a ruckus that disturbs my sleep-" She slew the three demons closest to her with a swing. "that will be the least of your worries." She sheathed her blade and stepped inside. She found a nice, relatively clean, corner tossed a blanket down and went to sleep. The remaining six demons, including the axe wielder, were all very careful to step outside quietly and run as fast as they could. None wanted to risk the chance of gaining her ire.

He left his ship and waved good bye to the crew. He started down the path leading up the cliffs of the shore.

Leo: { limping across the mountain path all beaten up bloody and battle scared like he jusr survived some war and he leans his back against the rocky mountain wall and he slides down}......n-not-not yet { passes out}

One of the smaller demons was following behind Barnabas. After the incident with the self proclaimed "princess" he wanted to make sure this person really was alone and human. He couldn't see anything obvious, like horns or wings, but he was wearing a heavy cloak. But what were the odds of running into two Rabanashi in one night? He slunk away as quietly as he could to get the boss and the others.

It didn't take more than five minutes for the rest to gather. Given their recent drop in numbers they weren't going to allow this one the chance to run or even react. The boss hefted his axe up high and let out a roar as he charged to bring the axe down on their prey. The other five pounced from the other sides, letting out shrieks and roars.

Skadi's light sleep was disturbed by the loud roaring made by the demons trying to ambush Barnabas. Her eyes flashed open as a single thought ran through her head, I'm going to kill them all. The screams of pain that followed made her eyes narrow. Someone nearby is strong, I'll find them in the morning, after we've both rested and it's light out.

Leo: { his eyes open as he spots the attacking Rabanashi and he draws rebellion}.......{ he rushes into the attacking rabnashi and he slices through one as he then blocks a on coming attack and he flips over the 2nd rabanashi and he splits it right down the middle as he spins around and he hacks right the rest of the rabanashi leaving 2 left}.....{ he looks up revealing his red eyes but he holds his head}...AH! OW!... damn everytime I fight these bastards iit makes my head hurt even more!

"I don't know were you are. You tell me....What is your name?"

The lone survivor ran back into the cavernous hideout and skidded to a stop with the tip of Skadi's fullblade on his throat. He'd have gulped if he'd had the space. "Take five steps back." She said without opening her eyes. It did as she bid and bowed respectfully, "Ma'am, uh, Princess, someone ambushed us." "Heh, serves you right. What do you want?" "Um, would you be ever so very generous and um, save me, from them?" "And why should I do that?" "Uh um. I can give you supplies." "Not interested." "Um, riches, weapons." "Directions?" "Yeah, anywhere you want." "Alright, clean this place up, shut up, lay out all of the blades rusted or no right where you're standing, and give me directions to the castle, if you can write intelligently then write out the directions on some parchment, and I will make absolutely certain that whoever killed your five friends just now does not kill you." Of course that's not to say I won't kill him myself instead. "Um, would you please go deal with him now then?" "No, in the morning. Unless he comes here before then. And if you feel you must talk, then tell me everything you can about the person who slew your buddies and the person you lot failed to ambush." "R-right." The demon got right to work, recounting what transpired during their second botched ambush attempt of the night.

????: { wearing a heavy cloak}.....soo your awake brother.....{ he walks around the area where skadis sleeping}...hmmm ohhh theres a rabanishi here someone like me eh?...... { he sits down on the ground and he rubs his hair which is sticking out from the cloak and he pushes the hood down revealing a more adult looking leo like the age of 21 except his hair is all spikey}.....do you rerember your big brother Kain... hmm { he lies back under a tree but near the area where skadi is camped}...I think I'll take this one slow and wait until this girl make her move

"Lets get up to the cliff first...." He placed one of his hands on leo's back. Helping to guide him up the rest of the way.

Skadi had controlled her breathing and maintained the facade of sleep, but the voice of Kain (assuming his name is Kain) had awoken her. She stood and withdrew her favorite weapon. "I'm going out for a bit. Keep working." She slowly sank into the shadows of the cavern and reappeared out of Kain's faint shadow, the blade at his throat. "That could be a fatal decision, calling me a girl I mean," she sniffed the air, "nephew?" She slid her blade back into it's sheathe and stood over him, arms crossed. "It's Invincible Sword Princess, which you should know. I realize I haven't exactly been around for some time and I might look a tad different, but someone of your caliber should at least know who I am. Especially if it really was my brother who couldn't keep it in his pants. I'm going back to bed now, so keep it down. I'm generally against killing family, but if I don't get a good night's sleep, I could get cranky, and kill you by accident." Skadi walked back to the cavern. "Did you have a good walk, Princess?" "What did I say about speaking?" The demon quieted down and got back to cleaning. The place was actually habitable now, and was starting to lose that disgusting stench. She just might spare this demon after all, he could serve as a decent retainer so long as he doesn't lose that precious gift of silence he's been using so well. She wondered if he could change his appearance though, she drew enough unwanted attention by herself and she had no intention of appearing as anything but herself.

((It's not that unusual for a nephew to be older than his aunt. And in Skadi's case it really wouldn't be that unusual. She tried to cross over to the human world and something went horribly wrong so she ended up as an egg for a bit. Her current body is 20 years old. She herself has been around for, oh let's just say longer. However, her memory gets fuzzy about things from before her rebirth))

"The path and villages and stuff of course..." He replyed finally reaching the top. The rest of the area was flat land with a few hills. To the side was a old semi-broken bench. He gently directed him over to the bench and sat him down.

You didn't offend me GamerKale, you have a valid point and I believe that those that do not have fantastic spelling or grammar are just referring to your Forrester quote and writing with their hearts.... perhaps forgetting to go over it with their heads.... but nonetheless I'm glad to see many have joined. Fionn took a moment to comprehend that what was happening wasn't a dream. He looked over at Alex.
