Says the dude who thought Lost Weapons existed in the game, or more so, Ovan coming back with just his. I haven't reached the end, but do you seriously expect CC2 to make Aura of all things the final boss? That would be too predictable on their part. If so, then .hack//Link should have never came into existance.

*Do you even have the game?*

Looks at Picture of Aura that was posted. Oh know, because I was wrong about one thing it looks like I am wrong about every thing... Oh no, what ever will I do, now no one will ever believe anything I say. -.-; Seriously just because I was wrong about one thing doesn't mean I am just spouting crap to say. And yes I do happen to have the game. (Thank you collage refund-check.)

Now that I have every ones attention, let me spoil you even more...

Jyotaro Amagi had a virus in the disk that Tokio used to go into the game. Basically the whole time he planned for Tokio to infect Aura turning he evil. Not to mention Tokio is special because of he has "DoubleWare" that allows him to use the disk. Oh and as for my favorite spoiler... Jyotaro is Geist, and is Saika's brother.

I don't care if you don't believe me, but once you play the game. (or they finally decide to update the wiki) You will see what I just said is true.

You have to admit. The idea was pretty stupid and unbelieveable at first without hard proof.
A.R.T wrote:I predicted something in .hack? Well, my word. I thought the creators would be much more smarter than that! But, if you think about it, it makes sense. The story's revolved around Aura and quite frankly...under the right circumstances, I think she could make a badass final boss.
Just wanted to know. Do you have ESP? How the hell did you predict an ending to a game one year before it's release? O_o

Nah, it was just one of those thoughts where you think "that would be COOL!" and then you think "ehhh..." after you actually post it.
I never would've guessed myself. I was thinking Amagi or maybe an AI made up of all the thoughts and emotions of "The World" that results in some sort of horrific mass like the Blob...it's very touch gives you a massive headache.

That would have been a much better ending then what it actually had. -.-;

To be fair, Jyotaro being Geist was kind of predictable too since they had the same voice actor...

SOMEBODY PLEASE POST SOME VISUAL AID. VIDEOS WOULD BE NICE.

EDIT: Nevermind.

.hack//Link X-Rengeki Compilation (Pt.1)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzYW_ZfVPlw

This video contains every X-Rengeki cutscene from every character. This also confirms every character that is in Tokio's party. Xth form X-Rengeki cutscenes will be uploaded in less than 24 hours, according to the person who made the video. Silver Knight's was just too much. lol.

This game = wut.

Why is XXXX and B-st in there? They aren't even canon.

I don't think it's really time travel, just kind of like The World's "memories". (Which are stored in the Akasha? Records)

And all these past characters (Except for newer ones) are AI (like at the end of IMOQ)

Unless they are really time traveling and screwing the timeline.

In that case...

*watches Cross-Rengeki compilation*

Have to admit, some of those were pretty cool (loved Orca's). And it looks like now Tokio is Endrance's "object of affection"

Well, a thread was already made about it, but I'll still post it here, since it references spoilers, including the huge, yet disappointing one at around 8:30 of the clip.

I am utterly disappointed at the fact that we fight Sharingan Aura as the final boss. THAT was the biggest boss in the history of .hack? THAT was suppose to be the huge surprise that would catch everyone off-gaurd? THAT was suppose to be an appropriate ending to a series as good as this? Hell no. CC2 rolled the dice, and lost the gamble. God damn it. :(

At least the gameplay was promising.

To be honest, i did expect Aura to be, if not the final boss, then a very important boss...i knew we would end up fighting her one day, and since the only thing stopping us from fighting her was that it was just pointless, made no sense, and was against everything in .Hack, now in LINK, that doesn't make any sense and is against everything in .Hack, it just fits well XD

Though i expected the final boss to actually be either some thingy made by all the memories of The World, or the most evil thing coming from CC2 that actually became God and was pretty much destroying both worlds somehow. But meh, screw the story, let's just have fun using Aura as a volley ball -3- lol

...And now you understand why I kept saying I had a bad feeling about LINK as a whole

Who was the one who said to wait and see if it got better, hm? No, with something as mindscrew (and canonscrew) as this, it's hard to get better. :P

It was pretty expected, but then again "The Great Deception" wasn't all that great. I just hope theres a really good explanation behind everything.

I'm loving this game. Though honestly that might be because I can't understand a damn thing, and everytime I do understand something I hope to God that I misunderstood it because that would **** up so many things. Again, hoping theres an amazing explanation behind everything.

Gaah! We need someone who knows Japanese to confirm all of this for us. This and what the deal is with Aura.
Aura was trapped inside the Akasha Records. When Tokio obtained all the Chrono Cores he is able to open the door. All along Saika thought that her brother, Jyotaro Amagi, was the one trapped inside the door. Once they find Aura trapped it in instead she awakens and the hidden virus (a bunch of chains burst out from his chest, seriously) within Tokio activates and turns Aura into a giant egg. The trollmaster comes out and a small battle ensues between him and Klarinette. This results in his mask being knocked off, revealing himself to be Jyotaro Amagi.

So far this is all I've played up to and apparently monsters are raiding the towns now. At this point it should be the 6th dot in the .hack//LINK timeline, this takes place after you clear the basic G.U. timeline. I have to say, Geist is quite the manipulator. First he manipulated Saika, then I believe he manipulates Metronome into betraying Fluegel. Do note that I know very little Japanese and this is only based on playing the game and knowing how to read hiragana and katakana.

Speaking of which, just how far does each segment of the game go? What of the original series does it cover and whatnot?
Cubia (regular and XXXX) hasn't appeared in IMOQ or GU so far. My guess is he only appears in the XXXX scenario which is probably only 1 mission.

For the main storylines, SIGN is covered pretty accurately. For IMOQ you only fight Skeith and Corbenik, you obtain Balmung after beating Skeith. You're only present for the really important fights so a lot of extra stuff is cut out, the storyline differs only at the very end.

For G.U. the storyline is completely different. Tokio becomes the protagonist and Haseo stays as an emo for quite a long time. He gets infected by AIDA and is the one who causes the AIDA stuff going on at Moon Tree. Kuhn is unable to knock some sense into Haseo with the Skeith abuse so he abuses Skeith up until you free him from AIDA (You fight him as a dark tinted 1st form Haseo with the Avatar markings on him and a scythe). A while after that and the whole Ovan thing happens, except Haseo only fights him once and it's most likely the Redemption fight (I still haven't played Reminisce and Redemption but Ovan revealing that he's Tri-Edge and dueling Haseo happens all at once in The Creator's Room). Now here's the funny thing, after Ovan uses Rebirth, you and Haseo are both caught in the blast. Except this time only Tokio is the one that ends up in the desert. It appears that Haseo DIED (Don't quote me on this but Atoli was acting like she's recovered from the loss) getting caught in Rebirth and becomes a voice in the Grima Lowe cathedral telling you that you'll meet again in the future. Did I also mention that all this happens with Haseo still being in 1st form? He gets no 2nd form, no 3rd form, and no Xth Form (This explains the lack of Cubia).

I lol'ed so hard reading about the //Link G.U. storyline. So at the part where  Ovan used Rebirth, and Tokio ended up in the desert, is that where he got his Xth form from? Did he "replace" Haseo's screen-time postion from Redemption?
